7 Chapter 6

The next day, we trained Class 1A as usual, then headed out to shop with the girls. We didn't need anything but they insisted. "Hey Kimichi?"

"Yes Mi?"

"Why do we have to do this?"

"Hm?"

"Why do we have to shop when we could be training?"

"Because it's fun. Come on! Look over there!"

"What?" I saw her pointing at a pretty set of jewels. "Ooh! Those're really pretty!"

"I know right!" My sister points at yet another set. "Those're perfect for you!"

"They match me."

"Isn't that cool! And look! There's ones like me too!"

"How much are they?" I ask the employee who was helping us.

"10,587 for a set."

"10,587 what?"

"10,587 yen." (I used a value converter. This is 100 US dollars.)

"Fine. Ki?"

"I'll get it!"

"Which one?" The guy asked.

"Both please!"

"That'll be 21,174 yen."

"Here you go!"

"Have a good day." He sounded bored.

"Let's go!"

"You do know we can't wear those right-"

"Not yet we can't!" She looks right at me.

"You want me to then."

"Right!"

"Fine." I smiled softly at how energetic my sister can get.

"Miki-San! Kimichi-San! Let's go! The others are getting some food!"

"Sounds like a good idea. Lead on Uraraka." I gesture forward. She nods and brings us to the small shop.

"Hey you two!" Yaoyarozu smiles. "Sit and enjoy! It's on me."

"Thanks!" Kimichi smiles back.

"What is there?" I ask.

"I hope you don't mind but we picked drinks for you already." Uraraka says nervously.

"It'll be fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yep."

"So we got you cookies and cream milkshakes."

"Ooh! That sounds great!" Kimichi laughs.

"It does." I smile softly and thank the waiter who handed us our drinks. "Mm. That's really good!"

"I'm glad you like it Miki-San!" The brunette smiles.

"Now..." I pull out the gem sets. "What should I use?" I begin muttering about the pluses for choosing one metal and the negatives. "Ah." I nod, not realizing the whole group was watching me. A plate of food was set down in front of me and I began eating it, still lost in thought. I begin creating the metals I had picked and looked at them. There were many shades of rose gold and some platinum, which I was going to use for mine. "Pick a color." I told my sister, showing her the rose gold.

"The middle." She had picked one of equal amounts red and pink, making it a beautiful shade of magenta, the same shade as her hair.

"Good choice." I nod and begin making more, and sculpting the metals into the exact shapes I wanted them to be. "Done." I set down each jewel, now encased in either rose gold or platinum. "Here's yours." I pull out the rings, necklace, bracelets, earrings and anklet. The rings fit her perfectly, making them seem as if they were grown onto her two middle fingers. "Come here." She complies and I clasp the necklace around her neck. I hand over the rest and she slips them on, each piece fitting her perfectly.

"These're so pretty!"

"Of course they are. I made them." I chuckled and put on my own. "I must say they are well done for something I just threw together."

"Hey Miki-San?"

"Yes Ashido?"

"Have you considered becoming a jeweler? It seems like the perfect job for you."

"How so?"

"For most people, even with the best tools, it takes several hours for a single piece. You made sixteen pieces in half an hour."

"And?"

"And they are beautiful. You really need to consider being a jeweler."

"I've been told many different things are something I should be, but this is the first time someone said I should be a jeweler. It's also the first time the job actually interests me. I think I will." I smile at the pink-skinned girl. "Thanks."

"Yeah!" She smiled too. "Could you make me something too?"

"And me!" The others all spoke together.

"Get the gems."

"Can't you like, make them or something?" Ashido asked.

"I could, but they wouldn't be worth as much. Gems aren't easy to even start to make. It takes a whole hour to make one, let alone this many." I point at the bracelets.

"Ah." She nods. "I see now. So, as long as we get you gems you can make the jewelary?"

"Yes." I smile.

"Let's go girls!" They ran off together.

"You are good though." Kimichi smiled.

"Hm?"

"Look at the rings."

"Right. What's so special?"

"The patterns on them are extremely detailed."

"Ah. That was actually easy."

"Easy?"

"Yes." I laugh softly. "The easiest in fact. As I create the metal, I imagine the shape I want it to be. For these, I simply thought of a flowery design."

"It's still very good."

"I suppose." I smile. "They're coming back. I'll be leaving now." I collect the gems, making a mental note as to who had what. They told me what kind they wanted and I made note of that as well. I then went back to the dorms and got to work.
