35 Chapter 34

(y/n) P.O.V. 1st Person

His name is a blur on my tongue, one my mind goes blank on. One that, if someone simply says it aloud, will send shivers down my spine and make my head spin. But that blur feels like it's dancing on my tongue. breaking apart as I try to call out to him. "I like you…" It feels so weird to hear myself say that now. But nothing else will leave my throat. His pretty face is perfect in my mind, but inside my heart clenches.

"I'm sorry. I'm not interested in you like that." But that isn't the reason I fear you. That isn't why I hide my face whenever you're around.

*****

'But what are you doing? Why are you acting like this?' His breath against my neck, his fingers tracing down my hip. "Stop this."

"You said you love me, right?" 'When did I ever say that and really mean it?'

*****

"Teacher, there's a student being harassed in the next classroom over." Who was it? If only I could match her voice to her face I would know who told! Who's the reason behind the stupid article that's been passed around? Didn't they know no one would believe that it was all his fault? Didn't they know he had already told everyone about what I said to him that night?

*****

"What's that?" She demands. 'Mother, do you have to be so cold? Why do you have to look at me like that? Like I'm something you should have thrown away before it went rotten.'

"I said I want to change schools." 'I can't put up with this anymore. Do you know how much it kills me to have to suffer this day after day?'

*****

"(l/n), (y/n)? I'm sorry. You're a great student, but our school doesn't tolerate that kind of behavior."

*****

"I'm concerned as to why you dropped out of your previous school? I mean, it's one of the best schools in the country."

*****

"Why would such a prestigious family put their child in a school like ours? It just doesn't make sense."

'How many times do I have to be rejected? All because you rejected me. No, because I fell for you in the first place.'

*****

"(y/n), I found something. Remember the private boarding school in the mountains run by our grandfather? The chances they've heard of what happened are low. It's an all-boys school, but I'm sure Gramps can make an exception. You've always been the favorite after all." I know you think I deserve what happened. I know you've always hated me.

*****

"It's all set to go. Your grandmother's cleaning up your mess, but it's best you stay there until you graduate." 'Don't even bother telling me how disappointed you are. You know as good as I do this will only tarnish your reputation more.'

*****

"(y/n)!" Ichii's voice runs through my head.' What's he doing called my name? Why is he in my memories? Shit, did I fall asleep in class?' I jolted my head up to find Yuri and the two boys in front of me snickering. I'm feeling more tired now than when I actually drifted off. But that wasn't why they were laughing. I glanced down at my arm where the three boys had been doodling with Sharpie. 'Great,' I sigh.

Ichii and Ren are the two boys that sit in front of me and Yuri. They're pretty chill, but they make fun at teasing me. Often though they ditched class, and you never saw them without the other. Ichii had green hair and gold, cat-like eyes. Ren, on the other hand, had a vibrant red that was combed over to the right of his face and matched his eyes. I went to scold the two before noticing the teacher walking down the aisle. 'Crap, did he catch me sleeping?!' He passed us each a pamphlet. I ran my eyes over the cover. " School... camp...?" I mutter, but no one hears my confusion. The teacher isn't much help though as he talks as if everyone already knows.

"So that nobody gets excluded, I will be distributing you into your groups. Listen for your name as I call out what group you're in."
