Hundreds of years ago, when the war stopped, shifters came out of hiding safely. They had helped the human world after all. The goddess had seen her creation and blessed them with mates. Mates would complete each other, love unconditionally and empower each other. She watched as they formed their own kingdom.

     She then blessed their chosen king, gave him gifts no other were had. She also blessed him with his mate first. Their bond different from the others, stronger. There were still weres that didnt like being part of a pack, rogues. They were merciless, evil, vile beings. Without a pack the were often went mad.

      For hundreds of years she watched closely, blessing and protecting her creation. She had found a mate herself recently. Their bond was exceptionally strong. He was a great warrior and soon he would be a father. However there was a threat to their unborn child. Her mate was out there, she knew. He would keep her safe when they found each other. The little bundle nestled safely in her arms would have a hard life, but it's how the life of a goddess was destined to be.

"My sweet, what's bothering you?"

"I'm just worried. The family we chose will be here soon. She'll be gone in mere hours. And then it'll begin. We won't get to know our daughter as she grows."

"I know. But, it's best for her. It's safer this way. Come let's cherish the moments we do have."

    Her mate took their daughter, smiling down at the pretty baby. Her gaint blue eyes looking at him as he snuggled her close. She would look just like her mother, she would be breathtaking. As they cuddled their precious baby, a knock sounded and in walked the Alpha chose to hide their child.

"Alpha Zane, please take care of her."

"I will love her as my own, my mate and I thank you for this."

    They had picked a couple that had a son and since then had struggled for another pup. The Alpha handed the baby to his mate and she kissed the baby on its forehead gently. They walked out smiling, their hearts full.
