I woke up suddenly, my mind still a bit foggy from the energy I had exerted. My mind immediately went to Anna amd John. I needed to know if he was okay, but also knew that Anna was probably still frantic. I stretched and groaned, I was a bit stiff.

       The door opened and in walked Mel. She smiled at me warmly and sat next to me.

"That was a wonderful thing you did, Callie. John is my brothers closest friend and for a while he was the only one Remmy would open up to. Hes had a hard past too, but you're perfect for him." 

      I hugged her and got off the bed slowly, I got a bit dizzy and braced myself for a fall. Mel caught me and helped me stay on my feet.

"Thank you. I need a shower. Where's Remmy?"

"Here, love."

      He said softly as he walked into our room. Mel smiled at him proudly, still holding me up. He took me from her and kissed my forehead. I leaned against him and inhaled his scent, my wolf happy to have her mate close by again.

"You can go, Mel. I got it from here."

       She nodded and left, closing our door behind her. Remmy set me on the bed, and locked the door, shutting the rest of the world out. I smiled at him and stood again, my legs wobbling. Remmy caught me before I tumbled to the ground.

"Little mate.... Thank you. For saving my friend. You need to rest..."

"I'm fine.... I need a shower."

"Love... You can barely stand."

"Remmy... Please. You can help. But please."

     I begged, my eyes filling with tears. Remmy quickly wiped them away and nodded. He carried me into the bathroom and helped me strip out of my clothes, throwing them to the ground. Remmy quickly undressed, and helped me into the shower, he turned the water on. Remmy was standing over me while I was leaning against the wall. 

"Love..... I really appreciate what you did. But.... If its going to do this to you, I don't want you doing it. Okay?"

"Remmy.... I have to learn to use the magic.... Its part of me."

"I know love. But let me help you discover it. I... Callie, I cant loose you, baby."

"I won't over exert myself I promise."

      He nooded and our lips connected. This kiss was different than the others, it was soft, gentle. He was pouring out his emotions in the kiss. I could feel every ounce of love he had. I pressed closer to him, my strength suddenly finding me. I ran my hands down his chest, scratching lightly. I trailed my hands down his stomach, slowly and gently. Remmy growled the moment my fingers wrapped around his cock, I moved my hand slowly.

"Love.... If you don't stop..... I wont be able to stop myself. I don't think you have that in you yet."

"Hmm.... I'm fine, Remmy."

     He suddenly pinned me against the wall, his eyes shining red. I giggled and wiggled against him, wrapping my legs around his waist.

"Hi, Xander."

"Hello, love."

     He whispered burying his head in my neck, closing his eyes. They had returned to their normal blue, Remmy thrust his hips forward and entered me gently. This time we werent rushed, it wasnt rough. Remmy made love to me, with every thrust I could feel his love and fear. Seeing me so weak after healing John had scared him, made him realize how much he actually did love me.

"Rem.... I... I love you."

      I whispered and he paused, watching me. I waited, letting him decide what to do or say next. I rolled my hips slowly, earning a growl from him.

"Fuck. Cal.... I've loved you from the moment I saw you, baby. I knew right then you were perfect, I love you more now than I did then."

      He whispered as he thrust in and out of my body. I moaned and felt my body tighten. Remmys breathing became ragged, his lips trailing slowly to my mark. My nails dug into his back, I felt like a rubber band, pulled back to the furthest point, I was ready to just snap, let go. My body did just that as his teeth sank into my mark, I screeched as I came around him, relaxing in his arms. Remmy followed after me, releasing his seed into my body with a growl. Once he was finished, he lowered my feet to the floor of the shower and began washing me gently.

    After we were finished in the shower, Remmy dressed and I rifled through my closet looking for something. I settled for a tank top and jeans. I quickly brushed my hair and pulled it into a ponytail. Humming softly to myself, I glanced in the mirror and smiled at Remmy who was watching me curiously.

"Can we go see Anna and John?"

"If that's what you would like."

     I nodded and skipped over to the door, Remmy shook his head and laughed. We walked down the hall hand in hand. I was content, I finally felt like I belonged and he wanted me. Remmy knocked on their door softly and his face turned serious. Anna answered the door, her eyes traveling to our hands. She smiled at me and pulled me into the room, my hand slipping from Remmys.

"I didn't get to thank you, Callie. I really appreciate what you did for John."

"I know. I did it because I know how I would feel if it were me, and what happened to John was because of me."

    I looked at my feet, feeling guilty. Ian was after me and he harmed my best friends mate to get to me. John came out of the bathroom in sweat pants and a shirt on. He looked a lot better, healthier and happier. He walked up to Anna and pulled her close.

"Thank you for giving me another chance, my queen."

"John... Please call me Callie..."

       I hated it when he adressed me so properly. I noticed Remmy sitting down by their window, watching me interact. Anna pulled me to the TV in her room, wanting to watch something, so John went over to Remmy and they started talking battle strategy and protection detail for me.

       Anna was completely engrossed in the movie, ignoring her mate and mine the whole time. I did my best to concentrate on it, especially when Mel joined us.  The movie was something Anna and I watched a lot together until recently. Mel and Anna were full of giggles.

       I could feel Remmy watching me, I knew even though he was deep in conversation with John he was watching me carefully. A voice suddenly intruded my mind.

"Do you want to leave?"

"No. It's okay."

"I can feel your anxiety, love. It's fine. We can go, John will understand."

"Okay."

         Remmy stood and walked over, Mel looked at him curiously.

"Ladies, Callie and I are going to go, she's tired."

        Anna and Mel gave me a quick hug and I followed Remmy out. He took my hand and kissed it gently.

"Let's get you to bed."

"Remmy... Can Anna, Mel and I go shopping tomorrow?"

"Of course, love. Just rest tonight."

        I snuggled into him and drifted to sleep.
