FALLING IN THE TRAP

"Something is not right." ,Gutherson said with suspicious look.

"That's right. I don't know how. But something is definitely not right." ,Gnan agreed with Gutherson.

They were experienced people who had participated in many cruel war. They had seen everything they had to see. They had quite a terrifying instincts. Even though they don't know what was it, they were sure that something was definitely not right.

"What should we do now?" ,Gnan asked Gutherson.

"We will go and meet these people. We will inquire about that person who gave these people that Talisman. Since we don't know how to deal with these shadows so far, this is all we could do." ,Gutherson said, "We should ensure our safety first."

Gnan sighed. Even though he was also suspicious of these people, he was sure that Gutherson was right. What kind of trap they might fall in, they should ensure their safety first. So they need to speak and find out the location of that person who sold these people those talismans that could destroy these shadows.

They made their decision. As for the people who defeated those shadows not just long ago, they knew that they should not waste their time now. So they decided to leave this place as quickly as possible.

"Please wait a moment, friends!" ,Just as they were about to leave that place, they heard someone calling from their back. They all turned back and found two people coming towards their direction. They narrowed their eyes and gazed them with a vigilant looks at the two approaching people.

"Who are you people?" ,The Captain asked, "What do you want from us?"

"Please rest assured friends. We mean no harm to you people." ,Gutherson said, "Not long ago, we met with the shadows just like you did. We had no clue how to deal with them until we saw your fight against these shadows. We are just here to know the name of the person who gave you those talismans. And if it is possible, could you please give us his location?"

When these people heard this from Gutherson, they all lowered their vigilance a little. The captain gave a smile and said, "So it's like this. It's alright then. We won't lie to you. But that person is truly wicked. He is selling these talismans in return for our pass. We were helpless. But he is very cunning."

The Captain continued, "But let me warn you. That person has a wicked and hateful personality. If you people still wished to trade with that person, then I am not responsible if anything happens to you."

"we are fine with it. We will take responsibility for our own actions. Please rest assured." ,Gnan said with a smile on his face.

"Fair enough. The name of that person... I think you people have probably heard it. His name is Russell from the Silver Wolf Sect! He is also known with the name "The Merchant!". I think you people have already seen him before the start of the competition."

"We know him. He was regarded very highly by the locals." ,Gutherson said after recollecting the name of Russell.

After saying this, the captain of that team handed over the Tracking Paper to Gutherson which belonged to Russell. He then said, "All the best with your transaction."

After saying this, the team immediately left.; Gutherson and Gnan looked at the departing backs of the group of people. After they left their views, Gutherson said, "Let's go and pay this Merchant a visit. I want to see what kind of tricks he is pulling here."

After saying this, they both left the place. They used the tracking paper and rushed towards the direction where it is pointing. The direction where it is pointing is where Russell was currently is.

And when they reached the place, they found Russell was sitting in the meditating pose. Both Gutherson and Gnan went and stood in front of him.

Russell who was actually meditating opened his eyes and look at both Gnan and Gutherson. He stood up. He then gave a warm smile and said, "Esteemed guests! May I know who you are? And how many I help you?"

Both Gnan and Gutherson looked at each other. Even though they were from the lower realm, their experience was very rich. With one glance they could tell that even though Russell was presenting himself with a warm smile on his face, their experience was constantly telling them that he was actually a very problematic Guy!

"Hi! My name is Gnanwell! We are from the Star Moon Team! Actually we were being chased by some strange shadows. I know that we are in the middle of a competition. But I heard that you are selling the talismans that could counter those shadows. So we were here to buy those talismans!" ,Gnan said.

Russell still maintained that warm smile and continued, "I indeed sell those shadow destroying talisman. But if you want to buy it, then you need to give me an appropriate payment."

"And what exactly would you like us to pay for the talisman?" ,Gutherson asked.

"There is no need for you to pay anything. The reason why you people are here because I wanted you to be here. Which means, I intentionally made you come to me." ,Russell smiled and said.

Both Gnan and Gutherson became serious. They knew that something was wrong. But they didn't know where exactly the problem lied. But now they suddenly understood that they were actually brought here deliberately.

Gutherson sighed. He said, "Then those people who pretended to be using the thalis meant to counter the shadows were actually you are people?"

"That's right." ,Russell said. At the same time, a group of 15 people came out from their hiding spots and surrounded both Gutherson and Gnan. Both Gutherson and Gnan sighed. These 15 people were none other than those people who killed the shadows and gave them the address of Russell.

Gutherson asked, "You are just a merchant. There was no enmity between you and us. We could understand one thing. You're not trusting us here just for all the passes in our position right? That means, you have been hired by someone else to do this job. If my guess is right, then there is only one organisation who could hire you to do this. Let me ask you something then. The one who hired you to capture us..... was it the Raven Sect?"
