14 Tryouts

Akihiko stepped into the court, next to him was William. One of their teammates then said to the two "I hope we'll pass the tryouts, I'm Chad by the way." Chad was a boy with brown hair and what looked to be 5"7. His other two teammates were named Ron and Paul according to Chad. Ron was 5"4 which means he'll play as guard. Paul was 5"9 so that means he will be center. This what we decided as I will play as another guard while William will play as a forward. William's height was 5"6 so all in all, we have planned well.

On the opposing side were our seniors along with Nash and Jason. Chad told me that the other seniors were called Henry, John and Mike.

The game finally started as it was the tip-off between the two teams. Alexandra threw the ball into the air as Jason and Paul jumped in order to get the ball. As expected, Jason won the ball as the ball went into Nash's hands. Nash walked towards our side, ball at hand as they planned for an attack. The rest of the people watched our game, even the outsiders watched. So in other words, the gym was packed.

Nash was dribbling the ball in a slow pace. But in a blink of an eye, he had broken through Ron's defense as he went towards the paint. Ron tried to chase but it was too late so Paul adjusted as he then saw Nash going for an easy lay-up, but Nash smirked as he just threw the ball in the air.

This made Paul suddenly realize

"Oh no!"

Paul was then dunked on by Jason as the crowd cheered because they made an alley-hoop. The duo laughed as Jason said

"You just got served!"

The duo then went back to defense as Paul got the ball and threw an inbound pass to Ron. Ron drove to the court but he was pressured by Nash heavily. Ron couldn't handle the pressure anymore so he tried to pass to William, but Nash predicted this

"Gotcha!" Nash said as he stole the ball.

Ron tried to chase but Nash just threw the ball in as he made an easy lay-up. The score was 4-0, Akihiko's team didn't look so good. It was only 3 possessions in, yet they felt like giving up. It was once again in Ron's hands as he immediately passed the ball to Chad. He was at the top of key when he pulled-up and shot the ball. But the ball was swatted away by Mike. They immediately ran towards our side, hoping for a fast break point.

Akihiko's team chased and got on defense. But as Mike was about to shoot the ball, he faked it and passed the ball to Jason, who dunked it with ease.

While Nash's team went back to defense

Nash said

"Is that all you trashes can do? You guy's ain't meant for this club."

The score was 6-0. Our team was getting trashed badly. Ron got the ball and passed it to Chad. Chad did a jab step, this threw Mike off for a bit until he pulled-up once again. Mike jumped but he was surprised to see it was a pump fake. Chad dribbled towards the paint as he pulled-up with no one guarding him. The ball went in as the score was now 6-2.

We went back to defense as we prepared for an incoming attack. Nash dribbled the ball as he walked towards Ron. He looked at Ron and said

"It's about time I finish playing with you"

Nash was about to do a crossover in Ron's eyes as he tried to predict it. But Ron was surprised as Nash did a behind the back towards the left side. This made Ron stumble down as he fell down to the ground. The crowd went wild upon seeing the successful ankle breaker.

"Trash will always be trash." Nash said looking down on him as he pulled-up and shot the ball.

*Swoosh* the ball went in as Nash stepped over Ron. When Nash's team finally went on defense. Akihiko patted Ron's back and said.

"Leave him to me."

Alexandra looked at the clock and saw it was about 5 minutes already while the score was 8-2. She then saw Akihiko getting the inbound pass and dribbling the ball for the first time. This made her think

'What can you do, Akashi Akihiko'

Nash looked at the person who he was guarding and saw that it was Akihiko. Nash then said

"I guess the trash had enough and now had the monkey on me huh?"

Akihiko didn't have any reactions as he looked at him with a very cold look. Akihiko dribbled the ball as he analyzed Nash for a second. Akihiko then suddenly did an in and out dribble to his left hand because he noticed that Nash's legs were quite spread out. Akihiko took advantage of this as he suddenly pushed the ball between Nash's legs. This made Nash surprised as he didn't expect such a thing. He immediately reacted towards the left. But he noticed nothing was there. Akihiko snatched the ball back with his right hand as Nash came crashing to the ground.

This was a move that one of the most famous street ballers did; The Professor. The crowd went crazy as Nash fell down. Akihiko then did a simple step back as he shot from the three point line.

*Swoosh* the ball went in, nothing but net.

Nash's teammates were in disbelief. Jason, the one who knew Nash the most exclaimed,

"What?!"

Akihiko's teammates looked at him as they patted Akihiko's back as they saw him going back to defense.

Throughout the whole process, Akihiko didn't even spare a glance at Nash.

'What?!' Nash thought as he didn't even have time to process what happened.

'Did I, Nash Gold Jr. get my ankles broken by a damn monkey?!' Nash was enraged right now, he had never felt so humiliated before.

The score was 8-5 and Akihiko went back to defense. In a fit of rage, Nash immediately got the ball and confronted Akihiko.

This time he didn't say anything as he did anything he could. He first did a crossover to his left side as he passed Akihiko. He smirked as he reached the top of the key, but when he thought he had passed Akihiko, he noticed the ball in his hands were no longer there.

Akihiko had stolen the ball right after Nash passed him. This surprised everyone in the gym as it was the first time they had seen Nash getting trashed this badly.

It was the fast break and Akihiko ran fast, but Akihiko purposely let Nash catch up as they finally met at the low post. Nash jumped immediately as Akihiko jumped with the ball at hand.

'This was the feeling, the feeling from years ago'

Nash thought he was going for a lay-up, but what he did was something much more unexpected. He changed the direction of his hands as he was reaching the top of the rim with his hands, Akihiko was going for a dunk

"No!" Nash exclaimed

The two collided with each other as Akihiko dunked the ball on Nash.

Nash fell down as Akihiko stepped right over him.

The crowd went wild as Akihiko posterized Nash.

Alexandra was surpised

'What a monster, at a very young age and he could dunk like that, Jason can dunk just because of his height. But in Akihiko's case , it's different.'

Nash looked hopeless as he looked at the figure that dunked on him. Not once did he spare a glance at him.
