28 War With the Celtics Final

Brigid lunged at Lucifer, his smile still present as he easily dodged her fatal attack.

"Hmm, is the plan to kill or destroy your realm? Well either way it doesn't matter," Lucifer said nonchalantly as Brigid attacked again.

Boom

"Huh?" Brigid's pained voice rang out as the dust cleared, allowing everyone to see Lucifer with his mouth open irregularly wide.

Crunch

Lucifer bit down on the goddess's arm, chomping it off from the elbow down, taking one of her arms instantly

"Gah!" Brigid screamed in pain and anger, blood gushing everywhere now that she was no longer able to use magic. She tried desperately to heal herself but found that she couldn't concentrate enough to do so.

"Finding you can't concentrate yeah?" Lucifer asked, smiling as he looked down on Brigid, his eyes shining green and the blood of the goddess dripping down his front. "I've found that in times of stress, gods lose their reason and rationality, it's funny... You guys are just like humans in that regard you know?"

Brigid frowned deeply, "What the hell is a human?" She spat, ignoring her wound as she continued the fight.

Lucifer laughed heartily at her question before answering, "Humans are beings who live in a different place" He paused for a moment as if thinking about something before continuing, "They're mortal creatures with vast potential, I dare say they'll replace the gods one day... Not that you'll be alive to even see that time though."

Brigid jumped at Lucifer, but he had had enough. His wings burst from his back, the black feathers falling softly before shooting forward, piercing Brigid's body in all of her vital points.

"Dagda, it is you who I came to kill, I can't be bothered with these second rates any more..."

He smiled as he spoke, watching as the goddess fell to the ground dead.

"I see," Dagda said as he walked over to where Brigid lay lifeless, his eyes holding many emotions before he looked at Lucifer. There was only one emotion there. Pure, and unrestrained hatred.

"Heed my words you heathen. You will pay for this!" Dagda roared as he pointed his staff at Lucifer, creating an enormous ball of fire which then shot towards the Angel. The flames were large enough to engulf both Lucifer and Dagda, and yet they passed through each other without harm.

"Hm?" Lucifer looked around, his surroundings had changed, and he could no longer see.

As Dagda and Lucifer stood in the midst of this strange, dark void, the distant echoes of cosmic roars reverberated through the emptiness. The very fabric of reality seemed to shift and warp around them as they entered this otherworldly realm.

Dagda's voice boomed with authority as he spoke to Lucifer, "You wanted a challenge, angel? Here it is. Welcome to the Void, a place where primordial horrors dwell, and ancient nightmares are made manifest."

Before Lucifer could respond, monstrous shapes began to coalesce from the shadows. These were creatures born of chaos and darkness, unfathomable beings that defied the laws of nature. They hissed and slithered, their eyes gleaming with malevolence.

Lucifer drew his dark sword, its eerie glow cutting through the void's oppressive darkness. "You've brought me to face your worst nightmares. How foolish of you."

Dagda's laughter echoed in the void. "Foolish, perhaps, but it's not just my nightmares you'll face. These entities are beyond nightmares, they are the remnants of creation's chaos. We'll see if your infernal power can conquer the unconquerable."

The first of the creatures lunged at him, a writhing mass of tentacles and eyes. Lucifer sidestepped with preternatural grace, his shadowy wings unfurling to give him a burst of speed. His dark sword sliced through the creature, but it simply reformed behind him.

"Persistent, aren't you?" Lucifer muttered to himself, a sardonic smile playing on his lips.

As more of the abominations closed in, Lucifer's movements became a deadly dance. He weaved through their attacks, his sword a blur of darkness as he struck them down one by one. Yet, for each creature he dispatched, another took its place. The void seemed to be an unending wellspring of these eldritch monstrosities.

"Hah… So you had some tricks up your sleeve eh Dagda?" Lucifer asked, his eyes shining with glee as the first monster rushed at him, its million razor bladed teeth spinning as it neared.

"It's truly too bad… Since I'm so hungry," Lucifer said with a smirk, his jaw cracking as suddenly it grew large enough to swallow the monster whole.

With a satisfying crunch, Lucifer ate the eldritch monster.

"H-Huh?" Dagda staggered, slipping back into view as he looked at Lucifer in horror.

"I wondered where the ancients were hiding, so they were in the void?" Lucifer said again, his voice deep as he looked at his other snacks.

"One thing about me Dagda, the more powerful beings I consume, the more power I have!"

Lucifer lunged at the next monster, cloning himself by 400 and slicing the thing to bits, eating its remains in a second.

"Hey Dagda, isn't it beautiful…" Lucifer asked, dark blood covering his body as he looked at the other god with glowing green eyes.

For the first time in his eternity, Dagda could feel his heart race.

"What? What is beautiful?" Dagda asked, glaring at Lucifer as he whispered some words under his breath.

'He's distracted, I can end him with one shot…"

Dagda closed his eyes and breathed in deeply, focusing energy toward his center as Lucifer smirked.

"The hope you have, the hope in your heart that you will prevail and I will die here… It's so beautiful." Lucifer said before his expression turned serious.

"And so is the destruction of that hope," He said before Dagda let all his energy loose in a beam toward Lucifer.

Lucifer opened his mouth wide, devouring the power in one big gulp as Dagda stumbled and fell, his energy spent up completely.

"Now… Surely you didn't think that would work?" Lucifer said, chuckling as he pointed a finger at Dagda.

"Just die," He said and a small green beam of energy slit through the God's head, blowing his body to bits and collapsing the nightmare dimension Lucifer was in.

All the gods looked at the blood covered Lucifer as he raised his hands.

"Celtics!" He yelled. "Bow!"

Silence fell over everyone before, one by one, the Celtic gods got to their knees and bowed, both their major gods were dead.

"Ah… What was I supposed to be doing again?" He thought, unable to remember why he had come to this Heaven in the first place.

"Control My Pharoh!" Isis yelled, bowing before him. "You must control all!"

"Ah… That sounds about right," He said with a smile, patting Isis's head.

"Then who's next?"
