1 Kang Sun Wang

( City B , Country O, Midnight 12)

A boy runs for his life , evading the gang chasing him. He curses his luck for seeing something he shouldn't have. He suddenly trips on something and falls. As the gang closes in, he pleads them to let him go. Before a gang member could attack him , a huge ape like creature steps in between them .

(The next morning, Y Institute of Technical Studies , City B)

A girl runs to her class. "Shit , I am late, " she whispers to herself. She gets in the lift and looks at ChatApp . She looks at her chats with a guy named Kang Sun Wang, with the last message by the girl: "I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."

The girl's eyes tear up a little. "He still didn't forgive me, I guess , " she says, with a voice filled with sadness and regret. The lift stops on the 4th floor and the door opens. She steps out and is greeted by another girl with same build as her. " Lia!?, " says the girl in a perked up voice . Lia looks towards the girl and say with a smile , " Hello , Rukia." Rukia asks, " you look a bit sad today? Are you worried about Sun Wang?"

Lia nods and says , " I shouldn't have said that . I shouldn't have been that cold to him. He did so much for me." Rukia nods and says, "It's not your fault. Just relax. He hasn't been replying, right?" Lia nods slowly. Rukia smiles at her friend's kind and guilty heart. She says, " Guess what? Sae Dong saw him today. "

Lia's ears perk up. She asks , " Where?" Rukia says , " Where else ? His hostel block. Among the 12 Hostel blocks , he is popular. For some ,. he is a senior who gives valuable advice. For some , he is a friend who plays sports with them. For some , he is a feared student who can steal their S grade in relative graded system. And for his close friends , he is the God who saves them from Deadline demon. "

Meanwhile on the same floor, in the HoD's cabin , the assistant clerk asks a boy , " Give me your details for filling bonafide . " The boy replies , " Name , Kang Sun Wang. Father's name, Kang Ma Dong. "

The clerk asks , " What's your mother's name?"

The boy replies with a smile , " Anjani. Kang Anjani. "

The clerk asks further details and Sun Wang answers accordingly. He then thanks the clerk and leaves.

While passing by , a familiar voice calls him , " Bro." Sun Wang turns back and sees his friend Jeong Hong Jun. Hong waves at him and says , " Long time no see , bro. Still sad for what that Lia said ." Sun Wang smiles and says ," No. I no longer have any relationship with her and her friends. I am done. I have had enough for one life." Hong Jun laughs and says , "You dumbfuck. Atleast get out of this depressed state. You still love her , don't you." Sun Wang growls in anger. Hong Jun sighs and says , " Aight fine brother , I won't mention her. "

Sun Wang calms down. Hong Jun asks , " You read the news today? The Monster Ape killed more gangsters."

Sun Wang scratches his beard and says , " Um....yes. Exactly 10 of them." Hong raises his eyebrow and says, " I never mentioned their number, nor did the site mention." Sun Wang says in a stammering tone , " ....the one I read from mentioned their number..."

Hong Jun says , " Eh ? Weird. Why are you stammering?" Sun Wang looks away from his friend and says, " I gotta go. I have assignments to submit."

He walks away from the place, ignoring a screaming Hong Jun. Sun Wang walks towards the lift and sees Lia. He decides to ignore her and change direction.

' How long will you keep running away , Sun ? How long will you hide the truth ,' he says to himself. That's when a familiar voice calls him , " Sun Wang?! Is that you?!" Sun Wang turns around to see Lia waving at him. He clenches his fists on seeing her as anger oozes through his veins. He ignores her and keeps walking in the other direction.

" Sun Wang, Sun Wang , Monke , " she keeps calling him, but he doesn't turn. She runs after him in a desperate bid to stop him , but Sun Wang keeps walking. Soon, he walks outside the building with Lia following him. Tired of her antics , Sun Wang shouts , " Will you please stop following me and do your job?"

Lia stops in her tracks and says , " I just wanna talk. We need to talk." Sun Wang sighs and says, " Just shut up and leave me alone. I am in no mood to speak with you."

Lia insists , " Oh come on. You cannot spare 2 minutes for speaking to me. " Sun Wang grits his teeth in anger. Rage burns his soul. Lia's eyes widen in shock as she sees Sun Wang growing fangs. "Are....are you okay?" , she asks. Sun Wang notices the fear in her voice and calms down. He further says, " Leave me alone. " And walks away.

Lia says to herself, "There's something wrong with him. But what it could be?" Sun Wang walks to a remote place in the university and collapses on his knees. "SHIT SHIT SHIT , " he screams hysterically, as he struggles to control his body. His beard grows longer and he grows fangs. His hair grows around his head like a mane. He looks at the Horizon with red, glowing eyes and leaps above.

(City B police headquarters)

"The monkey man brings Justice again...what the fuck!!!!," screams a senior officer. The other officers stand before him speechless. The senior officer continues , " If this goes on , no one will trust us police. How come someone with a monkey costume works better than all of you?"

One of the officer says, " Maybe this guy has a friend in the control room, or he somehow can access our records."

(Evening, YIT institute Male Hostel , E-Block badminton court)

Sun Wang walks into the court, to see his friends playing. Hong Jun greets him with a familiar hello. " Look at this muthafucka coming like a goon," he says with a smirk . Sun Wang smirks and says, " Shut up, bitch."

"How are you, dumbfuck?," greets a shorter man. " Better than what I was in all the ways , " Sun Wang says happily

But , deep down he knew, something was wrong with him. Within his soul resided an ancient spirit. A spirit strong enough to end the entire existence.
