237 Start of Ascension

{Alden's POV...}

It's dark. I can't move or see anything. Am I in the Void Realm again?

Last thing I remembered that I was about to fight Thomas and used my Ultimate Skill called Roar of Maddening Destruction. Then, I saw Ashley and Andre trying to take me somewhere.

"You've truly outdone yourself, Alden." a voice rang out. "You've finally began to become what the Deities fear the most."

"That voice...Argeizeth?" I said.

In that moment, a silver figure emerged from the darkness. A familiar silver figure.

"Oh...Argeizeth...seems I died again, right?" I chuckled weakly.

"Not exactly." Argeizeth replied. "It's just that your soul has taken damage from that battle earlier. As for your newfound Ultimate Skill, your body suffered a fatal backlash. The only thing that saved you is your Survivor skill."

"That battle I had...I won?" I asked.

"HELL YEAH YOU DID!!" a voice roared out in the Void.

A red figure rushed out to see me with a big smile on its face, showing all of its sharp teeth. Venrax has arrived as well.

"That right there is one HELL of a battle! I couldn't stop smiling! Your roars, your attacks, and let's not forget your declaration towards Timothy!" Venrax happily exclaimed. "You are the embodiment of war! The embodiment of destruction!"

Venrax, an Undefined who loved fighting more than anything else is singing praises about me from my fighting against Timothy. Then, a thought came to mind.

"Wait...I thought Timothy was alone before I used that skill." I said.

"That is because she has sent them." a female voice said. A white mass with numerous colorful eyes appeared behind Argeizeth. Meltozo was observing me.

"When you used your Ultimate Skill, your rank skyrocketed to peak Apocalypse levels." Meltozo said. "That is until you evolved."

"I evolved?" I said.

"This is what your stats look like at your very peak." Meltozo said.

"This is insane. How many heroes did I just kill?" I said.

"243 heroes. Not even the Tyrant King Mekisis has killed this many." Meltozo said.

"Mekisis the Destroyer killed 101 heroes until age took hold of him." I said. Meltozo nodded with her whole body.

"Now that you have killed this many, she and the other Deities will become aware." Meltozo warned. "I was able to peek into her whereabouts and she attempted to kill you herself while you were weak."

Arukatha was known to be logical and watches over the Celestial and the Material Realm to make sure everything is in order. She even has heroes to enforce that order and maintain it.

For her to be this impulsive must mean that I became a dog that took a shit in her flower garden, leaving a bad smell.

"Heh...if only I could see her face." I chuckled.

Wait, if I am in the void, this must be an opportunity to tell them about Suzana's whereabouts!

"Argeizeth, about Suzana. Is she around anywhere in any of these realms?" I asked.

"She is here, but not where we are." Argeizeth replied.

"So she's somewhere in this infinite void waiting for me." I said with excitement growing within me. Suzana is within reach. "Call her, she gotta be somewhere."

"You misunderstood. Suzana is in a different layer." Argeizeth shook his head.

Meltozo blinked her large eye and showed a portal showing a location that is brighter than the void that I am in.

What I see in the portal is a woman in black with black blades protruding out of her body. Yet, the face I see is very familiar to me, causing me to recognize her right away.

"She's here...she's actually here!" I exclaimed. "Hey, Suzana! Suzana!"

I called out to her, but she didn't hear me.

"Suzana!!" I called out her name louder, but to no avail.

"It's futile, Alden. She cannot hear you, nor sense you as she is in a different layer." Meltozo said.

"Then take me to her. Who knows how long has she been in there." I asked.

"Your soul will erode to nothing if you leave the barrier, even in the outermost layer." Meltozo said.

"Then relay my message to her at the very least." I begged. "I don't know if it will be my last time to see her again!"

I see her in the portal. I finally found her alive and well, but how is she in the void? And there are layers inside the void? I never heard of this.

"I understand. What will you tell her?" Meltozo asked.

"Tell her that Andre, Ashley, and I are here in the Material Realm and waiting for you." I said.

"You have my word." Meltozo said.

I turned to Argeizeth.

"I'm ready to go back." I said.

"Very well." Argeizeth nodded. "Until we meet again."

With a wave of his finger, I was gone in an instant.

And in that instant, I am back in my body.
