213 A Different Void (Part 2)

[Magic detected.]

[Body Composition now stable.]

[It is recommended to remain in the area of magic until stabilization is complete.]

I slowly open my eyes and my vision slowly becomes clear. I see Festeronova sitting on the chair, waiting patiently.

"Ohhh...what happened...?" I groaned.

"You fainted. Your body was undergoing evolution and mutation multiple times the moment you left this magic circle I have constructed." Festeronova stood up and briskly walked towards me.

"Mutation and evolution?" I said. Then I remembered what happened. "Oh...that."

"Your body composition is still unstable because you are a Chimera of four races. Had you been transported elsewhere desolate, you'd be an ever growing mound of unknown flesh. Ever growing, ever mutating, ever unstable, everlasting." Festeronova said.

"Meaning...I'll be in unimaginable pain for eternity?" I trembled.

"That or death. Even then, death from that is sign of mercy." Festeronova said.

"How long must I stay here?" I asked anxiously.

"Not long, because I have the means to stabilize you." Festeronova said, "Wait here, I will return shortly."

Festeronova turned around and left the room. I look out the window and see a dark sky with a somewhat faint green light source of unknown origin. With every passing moment, the sky mixes with green and different shades of black, twisting and morphing, but never finding a definite shape.

Additionally, I see floating lands in the distance some are large enough to be islands where others are just boulders.

As I look closely, there are various monsters having leisurely walks and mingling with each other, some have their own homes and markets.

But how and why? Why is it peaceful?

*Boom!*

*Boom!*

I hear distant explosions, audible, but not deafening to the ears. I looked to see flashes of light and then explosion follows.

"I have returned." Festeronova announced. What I see is a black solid mass floating inside of a small gray barrier. The next one is a glowing blue liquid inside of a vial.

"What is that?" I asked.

"Undefinium." Festeronova said. "A material in the Inner Void. Seeing that you have the Skyflayer features, I can fuse this into your body to ensure your stabilization."

"And this is the Evoltium. A liquid that can force evolution without the needed requirements." he added.

"Undefinium? Alden was trying to become an Undefined to find it since finding one in any realm is extremely difficult if not impossible." I said with my eyes wide open. "Even if someone did, crafting a weapon out of it would be impossible without the necessary tools."

But to possess Evoltium too!? That's a cash item! You can't find it anywhere through F2P means!

"You are quite knowledgeable, Kyozan. Are you sure you're not a Mindflayer in disguise?" Festeronova inquired with suspicion.

"Ew! No!" I yelled, disgusted by his question. It's not by his appearance that disgusted me, but me imagining being a Mindflayer.

"Hah, I jest." Festeronova chuckled. His tentacles twitch playfully for a short moment, making me cringe even more.

"Now, about the blades on your body, the durability and sharpness currently is above Orichalcum, but below Illuminite and Neronite." Festeronova uses his Psionics to bring the material to me.

"Uh, won't it like kill me if I touch it?" I asked cautiously.

"Unless it's imbued with Void Magic, no." Festeronova replied. "Now consume these two together and you will be safe from the instability. I cannot promise the taste."

"Taste? I'm eating these things?" I was shocked from his statement.

"How else?" Festeronova said.

Festeronova gave me the Undefinium and the Evoltium and I grabbed them. As I look closely, the Undefinium is not reflecting light from the magic circle. Just like that special black paint.

"Here I go." I mentally prepare myself and swallowed the material and then drank the blue liquid.

As my tongue touched the materials, the taste of it is revolting, absolutely disgusting. What kind of taste is it!? Is it rubber? Some kind of medicine? Either way, the taste of it is enough to make me vomit. The only mercy I got is that it went down quickly, leaving no aftertaste.

"Guh...! I was expecting it to be nasty...but I nearly threw up." I said, panting.

"Now that you've consumed it, step out of the magic circle." Festeronova instructed. "Once you do, your body will be stable."

I hesitantly put my foot on the floor and the other. I stand up and take a couple steps away from the bed I was in.

Then nothing happened. I didn't feel faint nor nauseous in any way. Better yet, I feel energized somehow. And my chest is heating up slowly.

"It worked...and I can feel my chest heating up." I said, clutching my chest.

"The Evoltium is potent. You will be evolving soon due to the excess energy building up." Festeronova said. "Come along now. I will take you to an open space."

*Voom!*

Festeronova covered us in a purplish barrier and took us outside of his place. He then takes me to a floating piece of land not far from his place.

He drops me off and the heat inside my chest grows stronger. I began to breathe more heavily as it continues to heat up even more.

It's my body that feels held back and wants to break free from its shell, to evolve from it.

Soon, I must let it out before it dies out.

[Undefinium and Evoltium fully assimilated. Now evolving.]

Black aura leaked out and the heat in my chest spread out into my body. This sensation is different from before.

It was painful before. Now it feels like the weight on my body is being lifted off.

*WROOOAAAHH!!*

The black aura inside me roars violently, twisting into a tornado that will tear anything in its path and yet strangely enough...I'm not disturbed by it. It's calming in a sense.

Soon, the black tornado enveloped me whole and I embraced it without any resistance. I don't why I became like this in the first place, but I know that I am not going to stay here doing nothing.

I will find my way back.
