9 Episode 9 "Hope, Alexander"

Viol couldn't believe the big guy standing in front of him. His eyes blacked out and he said his last words before falling into a deep sleep.

- "You think... I look good from there...?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- "Where am I?"

Drifting into the depths of darkness, Viol could feel something changing inside him. He looked around with curious eyes, but there was nothing around him.

"So this is what death is like, huh..."he thought. "It's not like what I imagined."

Continuing to drift into darkness, Viol had completely lost his perception of time. How many days did he spend here? Or how many weeks? Maybe it's been months. Or was he going to stay here for an eternity? He couldn't stand for it. He was already reaching his limits. He was bored, his whole body was numb and he was hungry.

- "Huh?"

Was he hungry? How could a dead man be hungry? As all these questions spin inside of his head, Viol heard someone from far away, calling out to him. And then he saw a blue light, it's weird. The Blue Light was getting closer and closer to him, maybe he was geting closer to light. Who knows. One thing was certain and that was with the every second passes, his feelings was returning to him. Now he could hear the sound more clearly.

- "Hey, kid! Heeeeey! Can you hear me!"

Who was this? It wasn't someone he'd heard before.

- "He should have been awake by now! Hey, kid! Anybody, there!"

Viol suddenly opened his eyes and jumped. With his jump, he felt a sharp pain. Simultaneously;

- "Oh, my head!" they said. Then started to rolling around.

When Viol woke up, he had a head-on collision with Edward, who was standing next to him. Viol thundered at the man rolling on the floor who was holding his head.

-"What's wrong with you, sir? Why are you standing next to someone who's unconscious? Give me some space!"

Edward became angry at Viol and continued the fight like a child, even though he had lived for hundreds of years.

- "What did you say?! Who do you think saved your life? You no-good brat!"

Viol jumped up.

- "Huh?! Who asked to be saved from the begining? Everything was under my co-"

Viol just froze. He could stand up! He rubbed his eyes as if he wanted to make sure that he wasn't dreaming. His broken and shattered legs was healed and they were working perfectly.

- "Huh? How did this happen?" Viol said to himself. The answer came from Edward, who sat next to him.

- "How? I cured you with a healing spell! If it wasn't for me, you'd have to cut off your legs. So be grateful!"

- "I get it. So you used hea " Viol turned to Edward with his eyes and mouth wide open.

- "Huh?! What?! How?! You're telling me that you can use the healing spell! Don't lie! I read in the book that only elves can use healing magic! You're a human! How could you used healing magic?"

Edward had a condescending look on his face. He opened his arms and started shaking his head.

- "Peh! You don't know anything about magic yet, kid. You're a disappointment."

Viol could feel his nerve being loaded up on his toes to his head.

- "What did you say? Go ahead and say that again! I'll kill you!"

Edward's orange hair rippled in the wind. His blue eyes shone with his endless love for Magic. He grabbed his beard with his hand and smiled confidently.

- "I said, You don't know anything about magic, kid."

Viol's body was shaking from head to toe. However, this time was different. There was only one difference and that was he trembled not out of fear, but with the excitement that enveloped him. Even though he knew he was going to be rejected, he couldn't help but asking that question.

- "Can you teach me?" Viol said. His eyes shone with hope.

Edward smiled. No one but Antonio had ever smiled at Viol like that.

-"Sure. That is why I saved you."

Viol, who looked after Edward, didn't know how to feel. Surprise, excitement, happiness. He felt all of this in order to the end. No. There was something else. It was something that could suppress all the emotions he felt. He didn't know what to call this feeling, but it was a feeling that warmed him up, that made butterflies in his stomach. Viol's vision fluctuated. He felt wet thin lines on his little cheeks. He couldn't understand what had happened to him.

- "Huh? Am I-?"

Edward pulled the viol to himself and hugged him tight. His voice was kind and loving, like that of an angel.

-"Everything's fine now."Edward Said.

-"You're not alone anymore, I'm here."

Viol became more restrained. He started sobbing. He had no memory of crying this much in his life. Tears kept coming steadily. That was the first time a little boy, 9 years old, cried since he was a baby. Because he forbade hiöself to cry. If he cried, it would show he was weak. And that was something he could never do. He had to be strong. So he could stand up to those who bullied him. No matter how strong the enemy was, he wouldn't give up and cry. That was his only principle. Still, you wouldn't mind if he cried right now, would you? Because he wasn't crying out because of fear or pain.

There was a strange air between Edward and Viol, who sat side by side on one of the rocks at Stonlan, a little further down the forest, where flying rocks were found. Neither of them seemed to speak out of embarrassment. Edward was the first one to speak, he was unable to stand the weather between them.

- "So you like magic. Is that right, kid?" Edward Said. He was trying to look natural, he whistled and began to scratch his head.

Unable to control his excitement, Viol suddenly turned to Edward. His eyes, like Edward's, were always shining when he spoke of magic.

"Yes, very much so, I love it! It's one of my favorite things in the world," Viol said. But after that his mode started to drop.

- "But I'm afraid that I don't have a pool of mana. That's why I can't use magic." he said. There was a deep sadness and disappointment in his voice that could not belong to a nine-year-old boy.

Edward was confused.

- "I don't understand. Am I missing why you can't use? Anyone born with a number has a pool of mana. So anyone can use magic."

Viol clenched his teeth. The length of the new clothes Edward had dressed him while he was sleeping and the dress was too long for Viol, so his wrist was completely covered. Viol, who pulled the suit up to his elbow, had the shock of his life with what he saw.

- "See! I'm a " Jok-"

Edward was startled by Viol's sudden movements.

-"Chill out a bit. Even if it doesn't look like it, I'm pretty old, okay? Are you trying to give me a heart attack? Anyway, what did you say? You are "jo-"?"

Viol was still looking at his wrist. He reluctantly tried to hide his mark. His mark, which had to remain the same from his birth until his death, had changed. The Joker had now been replaced by the number "4". So what was happening here? He couldn't tell Edward. He didn't think he'd believe him. He couldn't even believe it himself! He tried to smile.

- "N-nothing. İts nothing. Aha..ahahaha."

Edward could sense something was going on but he decided not to go deeper for now. He was sure that Viol will surely tell him when he was ready.

-"İs that so... I can't believe how you slept for three days straight though! What are you! Giant tree-eating turtle or something!"

While Edward laughing at his own joke, Viol was thinking about what the giant tree-eating turtle was. It couldn't be a real thing, right? He tried to laugh at the joke by pushing himself.

-"Huh...Hahaha...Haha. Yes, yes. I'm definitely a giant tree-eating turtle."

Edward looked at Viol with menacing eyes.

- "Hey! You don't have to laugh if you don't get the joke. Okay, kid?"

Gerard seemed pretty upset that his joke wasn't understood. He was sitting there and just whining. Viol burst out laughing when he saw this.

- "Hahahahhaha! You're sorry about that! You are very interesting, Mr. Edward!"

"Hey, hey! Didn't anyone teach you not to make fun of your elders? Stupid boy!" Edward thought. He sighed deeply and turned to Viol.

- "Drop it and tell me your name, Boy. It's not like I can alwayscall you "kid.""

Viol knew Edward was right. But the name Viol Vale could cause trouble. Actually, who was Viol Vale all along? That name never meant anything to him. It was just a big shell, the name Viol Vale. It was just a little boy who was trying to fill it. He looked down at the floor and quietly talked;

- "I don't have a name." he said.

Edward looked at the little one with sad eyes. Who knows what he must have gone through to be able to say such words?

- "Then I'll give you a name. All right, kid!"

The little boy, his eyes were gleaming with happiness, shook his head with excitement.

- "Hmmm. What should we name you?"

About fifteen minutes had passed, and as the little boy was about to give up and say his shell name, Edward jumped out of his place.

-"I found it!"he shouted.

He pressed the child's heart with his finger.

"Your Name Is Alexander Grey now."

- "Alex...ander Grey?"Alexander repeated. Edward with a big smile;

- "It was a very popular name where I come from! That's why I'll call you Alexander!"

- "What About Grey?"Alexander asked.

- "That's my last name!"Edward Said. He still had that big smile on his face. Alexander's eyes flashed when he heard it, he felt the feeling that had just warmed him up again.

"Alexander Grey," Alexander said, and he had a big smile on his face too.

"I like the name."he thought. With eyes full of hope, he looked up at the azure sky, where there was not even a cloud left.
