Never Again

Liu Zhi Rou was on her way home from work. She had just received news that she had gotten the third female lead in When The Curtain Falls. It was about a 17 year old boy diagnosed with cancer and only a year left to live and she would be playing as his younger sister She decided to celebrate by making a big dinner for her and her fiancé. Arriving at home Liu Zhi Rou stepped inside her house and removed shoes. Lucky she made it home as it had started raining. After sitting the bags she had down in the kitchen she slowly tiptoed up the stairs and opened her bedroom door. Have you ever dropped a glass cup filled with water, and you could only stand there as you waited for it hit the floor? That's what her heart felt as she watched her sister and fiancé rolling in bed. Lewd sounds came from her sister's mouth and she wished she could erase the image from her mind. They were so busy with each other that they didn't realize that she stood there shocked as tears poured down her face.

Feeling her legs going weak she dropped to her knees and sat. Startled by the sound the couple stopped their movements. As they turned to look at who was there Liu Zhi Rou had slowly stood up. She had to try and pull herself together but it was hard watching her love fall apart. Glancing between her fiancé Chen Zhang Wei and her sister Mingzhu she glared at them deeply with sadness, betrayal and anger then slowly and silently she turned before walking- no running down the stairs. She grabbed black leather heel boots, a jacket, slipped them on and grabbed her phone. As she walked out the door she heard her ex-fiance call after her. Ignoring him she left turning her phone off. She checked her pocket making sure she had her wallet before walking to a nearby bar.

The rain had begun to pour down hard so when she reached the bar she was drenched in rain. Making her way to the counter Liu Zhi Rou ordered 3 glasses of wine and had 4 shots before stumbling her way onto the dance floor. She bobbed her head to the music and danced with random people. she wore a white dress that hugged her body with black leather jacket. Even though she didn't stand out much she had managed to catch the attention of someone Important. But at that moment she didn't care. She was tired of having to live up to some perfect image. She was tired of letting society's standards control her. No never again would she put on a smile when something displeased her. Never again would she let someone walk over her just because they had more power. And never again would she be a fool blinded by love. Never again would she let herself be controlled by a man.
