3 Chapter Three

My retort got King Duxan angry so he held me by my hair and threw me to the ground .While on the ground ,he threatened to strike me naked and consume me in front of everyone as pacification .

I could see his eyes lit in fire and his furiousness got me scared .He forcefully pressed his lips on mine and took off my veil in front of everyone as he threw it away .At that moment ,he made me a laughing stock in front of everyone .This humiliation got me furious as well but my hands were tied behind me so I could do nothing .I felt so helpless but none of this really melted my father's heart. He watched me get embarrassed in front of everyone and drank a toast to that .

King Duxan asked me to dance but i was feeling so weak that I couldn't do it properly .The only thing I heard was the sound of a slap across my face which made me fall hardly to the ground .

Your father has sold you to me ,henceforth ,you are my property so you would learn to respect me from today on wards .When I say do something ,you do it and do it properly .I should have no complains about your actions .You have humiliated me by pushing me to the ground today and that disrespect is something you would pay for entirely for the rest of your days in my kingdom .

Your only problem is the fact that you were born a beautiful ,charming woman into a kingdom. Women have no say in their life because their duty is to stay humble and become slaves to men to please us .Anything apart from that makes a woman useless so henceforth ,you should learn to accept your fate because I won't have time repeating it to you ,King Duxan threatened holding my jaw as blood oozed from my mouth .

Once again ,all the kings present gave a pleasing smile to him as they supported him by raising up their glasses .

I used to think that the rumours about King Duxan were false but being a witness to his brutality made me know that they were actually true .

He pinned me to the wall as he once again pressed his lips on mine sucking my blood from my mouth as if he were a vampire. That was really disgusting .

He called on to his guards and asked them to send me into the chariot .

While in the chariot ,I couldn't help but shed tears as I looked at my bruised skin .My mouth was swollen as he had bitten it really hard and when I think about his decayed touching mine ,I feel as if I should commit suicide .

Words couldn't express how I hated my father for all his deeds .

King Duxan sat beside in the chariot but he threw me out when my sobbing became a nuisance to him .His guards tied me up to the chariot as they dragged me along barefooted through out the journey .

Five years ago , Queen Dimples who was King Duxan 's tenth daughter was married off to my father .She refused the alliance so she was dragged barefooted to Swaji and i could sense the pain she was in .She travelled a two day journey barefooted as a punishment for refusing my father 's marriage proposal and today the tables have turned because I was been dragged the same way to Mugal Kingdom .

It was a two day journey barefooted to Mugal and King Duxan didn't consider making me sit in the chariot .He watched me walk barefooted to Mugal .When I asked for water ,he poured the water from my head to toe which left me no choice but to suck water from my soaked dress .I was so thirsty and weak and I felt I should give up my life .We were just two miles away from Mugal as it began to rain heavily ,the rain satisfied my thirsty soul and I felt it as a relieve to my soul .

When I was a kid ,I used to jump around and play in the rain all the time but ever since I was locked in the tower ,I could only collect rain through my window .
