17 Chapter Sixteen

Everything is set to go my Queen ,said Lauren .The guards and handmaidens were also ready for the trip into the woods .

I hope you enjoy your camping in the woods ,my little flower and remember to pay heed to the words I uttered earlier or else you know the punishment that awaits you for your disobedience ,said King Adams .

My lord,my loyalty and humility is only to you ,Queen Myel says bowing to the king .

She is helped to sit on the horse as one of the guards ride her .

"The king cautions his guards about Queen Myel and they take their leave " .

My lord ,I heard that you gave permission to Queen Myel to go out on adventure ,is this news true ?

What exactly do you want to know Queen Clara ? ,asked king Adams .

Have you forgotten your place as a woman ?

I'm surprised you got the effrontery to question my decision when you know perfectly well that ,you have no rights to do so until I tell you to .You might be the crowned queen but you are not worthy of questioning my decision .

"But my lord .... and before she could speak ,she was cut short by a wave of king Adams' hand .

Clara ,you have only one problem and that is jealousy ,he says and calls in his guards to drag her out of his chamber .As she is dragged out ,mistresses enter the chamber to please the king .

It's really cold out here in the woods ,said Clara .

"The guards set up the tent and lit a bonfire to provide Queen Myel with heat .

She sits around the bonfire with her maidens and calls in the cook handing over a small bottle to her without anyone 's notice except Lauren .

" She blinks her eye in agreement with the queen's words whispered into her ears and takes her leave ."

"The guards kept their watch all night without a blink of their eyes but they later felt dizzy and fell to the ground ."

"My queen ,a maiden comes into queen Myel's tent and informs her of the current situation of the guards . She calls in all her maidens and tells them that it's time they embark on their journey ".

Myel ,the guards will not remember anything once they get up after thirty minutes and when this happens you can control their minds at least until we go back to the palace .It's good the cook poured a high dosage of the herb into their foods ,this way they will lose their memory for sometime and we will be able to execute our plan .

Let's go ,she said and they began to go deeper into the woods.

They got to a cave near the stream which was shielded by huge trees and twigs which was on the outskirt of where they came camping .No body knew about the existence of the cave before it was covered all over with bushes .

Myel clears the bushes and walks about five meters and enters a cave while Lauren instructs the rest of the maidens to get the herbs near the stream in abundance .

I have waited seven long years to see you Myel ,said a woman who was all covered up in rags .

Myel runs to hug her and explains to her how she managed to get back to the cave after seven long years .

The woman nods her head and sheds tears upon hearing Myel's story .She then pulls out a paper from beneath a stone and hands it over to Myel with the inscription " your sister was married to King Duxan of Mugal kingdom and beneath the paper is the map to the kingdom using the secret passage way in the woods " .

Myel smiles upon seeing this and hides the paper inside her hair by folding it into a smaller portion .

She gives the woman a hug and hands her fruits along with some dresses and shoes .

I have hidden in this cave for nine long years waiting for the day you would come and pull me out from here and I know that ,the day will surely come ,she says in tears rubbing her hands on Myel's cheeks . Go and save your sister Myel ,and when you are done with that mission ,we shall all face the worst ahead of us together .

Take this ,she hands over a bottle to her .It contains strong herbs which is used to take out poison from the body .If you drink poison ,you would need to take in a drop to neutralize the poison in your body . .

It's time to leave now because it's almost getting to late ,she says and hugs the lady and leaves .

On her orders ,her hand maidens follow her as they move back to their camp site with the herbs they harvested .
