1 Chapter One

I have waited for this day in anticipation .I had dreams of getting married to the one whom I love .He should be masculine ,thick tall and loving .

He should treat me as if his whole life depends on me .His smile should give me hope and his eyes should give me light and most especially ,he should be my shield .

All these were dreams I used to write in my diary but I won't be able to live a single moment of my dream since the day had finally come for me to leave my father's home to my husband's home .

Princess ,what are you thinking about ?

Elsa asked as my face was covered up in a frown and sadness .Elsa was my maid and she was in charge of taking care of my needs .

As time passed by ,she became my friend .

I know princess ,that you don't want to marry the King of Mugal but the king has made up his mind and you know he will never change it .

I wonder what kind of father he is, that sees his daughters as a token to gain power than their happiness .

The King of Mugal was known to be a blood thirsty King and his rude behaviour towards females in his empire was evident .No woman had a say in his kingdom .They were molested and treated like animals all the time .I never dreamt of getting married to such a man with an arrogant attitude and most especially old enough to be my grandfather .He was seventy years older than me and his face had shrank with various scars on his body .He had a wrinkled body as well. I felt pain and anxiety run down my spine each time i thought about him .

I couldn't think of running away because I had been kept in a long tower .Seven years ago ,my father got my sister married to a powerful king at age eight .

My sister pleaded with him to call off the marriage but he didn't .His heart was as hard as stone. I didn't want to suffer the same fate as my sister did so I tried to ran away but my plan didn't succeed .My father meted out a punishment to me ."Until I find you a powerful king to marry ,you will never get out of this tower " ,the words are still clear in mind .After that day ,I had been kept inside this tower as if I'm a slave .Ever since that day ,I haven't seen the face of light in my life .My diary became my friend ,I kept writing each word in it just waiting for the day my love would come to save me but the day never came because after a few moments from now ,I will be going into my husband's home .

Princess ,it"s time for you to go downstairs ,Elsa said . I could sense the pain in her tone .I was the only one who treated her with so much love and care and I know how lonely she will feel without me by her side .I hugged her tightly not wanting to let go but it was finally time to go away from home . I wished my mum was here to support me but she passed away when my sister and I were just six years old .Myel was my twin but she was married off before me .

How was she doing and how are they treating her over there ?

It's been eight years since I set my eyes on her but I haven't lost hope in seeing her again . I have full faith that no matter what ,I will find her one day .

My dad had nine wives and my mum was the ninth and the youngest of all .She was forced into this marriage as well .When she wanted to run away from the king ,who was my father ,she was killed and her body was fed to scavengers. This proved how wicked and ruthless my dad could be .He never thought about my sister and I so ever since then ,I felt resentment and nothing else towards my father but that didn't discourage him from getting me married to the blood thirsty king as I called him .

Ever since my mum's incidence ,none of his wives attempted to run away ever again .

As I walked down the stairs ,I began to shiver .My father was proudly talking to his guests as it was the most happiest day of his life .

On the other hand ,I wished I could vanish into thin air because I was going to live a cursed life with this disgusting old man till I die. He was laughing so loudly exposing his decayed teeth .
