16 Chapter Fifteen

In a palace ,the doors to the throne room flung open and then an elderly man who sat on a throne simply raised his head to look at whom had barged in .

My lord ,you sent for me ,said a young lady with a tiny voice in humility .

Her golden blonde hair was simply ecstatic and long ,falling below her butt ,with a pair of shining eyes which took the form of crystals ,she had a pointed nose and an attractive lips . She clad herself with a simple white dress and was embellished with jewelries as her crown fit perfectly on her head .

Come closer my queen ,after all these years ,I don't think that you still hate me and that you are afraid of me .I'm your husband and your well wisher not your enemy .I agree that I have been a bit unfair to you but I want to make it up to you so come closer and lean on me .

Among all my queens ,you are the one I cherish most because you are like the vision of ecstasy or better still ,the shooting star .When I saw you from my chamber yesterday looking at the shooting star ,I got to know that you wanted to make a wish .I don't blame you for that because you are still a kid .

So tell me ,what wish do you want me to grant unto you my flower ?

Freedom ,she simply said . I mean I want freedom to go out into the woods to feel what nature has installed .I missed those days when I used to ride my horse with my sister and mother through the woods .

My lord ,please don't kill me because of my wish because I said what I wanted to do since you asked .I know I have no right to ask you for this and that's why ,I'm pleading with you to spare my life .

Haha haha haha ,he stands up laughing and steps down the stairs getting more closer to her .

When I first got married to you seven years ago ,you were such a kid then .You begged me to let you go but I retorted your request by dragging you along with me .

After seven years ,you learnt to accept this life and paid heed to every word of mine and followed suit obediently .You have proved your loyalty and have won my trust .So today ,I King Adams of Ulka kingdom grants you freedom to go into the woods to feel nature whenever you like but it is based on one condition .

Your wish is my command ,my lord ,she said obediently .

My guards will assist you as you go into the woods so that you don't try to escape .Remember ,if you make up your mind to escape ,then I won't hesitate to kill you and spread your body out to scavengers to feed on.

My lord ,I will not ruin in this opportunity that you have given me .I have accepted your condition wholeheartedly and I promise you that you won't find any complains from me this time around .

Come give me a hug then ,my little flower .It gives me joy when you become so solemn to my words .

"She gives him a hug and sought permission to leave " .

Guards ,King Adams shouted in his deep toned voice .

In no minute from now ,she will be leaving for the woods to have a viewing pleasure of nature and she will be returning in the morning .[referring to his queen who just his presence ].

I want you to go with her and keep a close eye on her .Don't turn your gaze away from her in even a minute and when she tries to escape ,kill her and bring to me her head to be fed to scavengers .

"My lord ,we will do just as you have said ,they sought permission to leave " .

I have waited seven long years for this opportunity .Seven long years to gain your trust and plan my revenge and now that I have the chance ,I won't let this chance pass me by .If King Adams thinks he's smart then I'm more smarter than he is .His torture has taught me a great lesson in life .His defilement has taught me to seek revenge without a heart and his insults have taught me to execute without a trace and all these were done in seven long years that I spent by his side .

Lauren ,do you have what I sent for ? ,she said to her hand maiden .

My queen ,everything is set .I learnt how to prepare this herb very well from my grandmother and it's strong enough to execute our plan .

[She turns and smiles at her hand maiden in a friendly way as though they both agree on one particular thing ].

Myel ,we have waited for all these years and our time has finally come to take what belongs to us . You are a very good friend and it's only thanks to your efforts that I'm still alive .

Lauren ,you are the one who taught me to live amidst my pain .Now that the time has come ,I don't want to ruin in anything we have planned for all these years .

I will save my sister Krystal and flee with her and you will go away from this kingdom and live your life like a normal person but before that we will find your younger sister Laura because you have earned it .

They both hug each other shedding tears of joy .
