Meeting the Hokage

The 3rd Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, has received a very surprising news from an unbelievable source, Tsunade. The news he received was that Orochimaru will stage an attack on Konoha during the Chunin Exam. He clenched his hands in agitation when he hears the news, while at the same time, he was curious about that source the information came from.

Not minding about the matter, Tsunade told him that she got the info from her friends.

Now that stumped him.

Sarutobi wonders if Tsunade has an intelligence network of her similar to Jiraya's. He became more curious and asked Tsunade if he could meet them.

Her reply was, "It's hard to meet them."

Sarutobi was extremely dissatisfied, but he knew he couldn't force her at this point. He was already grateful for Tsunade and her 'mysterious friends' for the info, and he has already sent out his spies to make sure if it's true.

Surely and shortly, he received news that Tsunade's info was right, and Orochimaru was truly staging an attack on Konoha. If he were not to get this information, Konoha would be in a dire situation. With the info proven true, he immediately contacted Jiraiya to come back quickly since the matter was very serious.

And come quickly Jiraiya did. Upon arriving to Konoha, he immediately head straight to Sarutobi to ask about Orochimaru attacking the village.

Jiraiya said, "Is this true?" while reading the report that Tsunade had submitted. He was truly wondering how and where did she get this kind of report.

Hiruzen replied, "I have checked and it is true. I had my Anbu look into the matter for more details and from what I've got from them, the 4th Kazekage has been assassinated and Orochimaru have taken his place. And now they will attack Konoha during the Chunin Exam with the newly created Otokagure ninjas."

Hearing it from him, Jiraiya became worried and said,"Then we must stop the Chunin Exam."

Hiruzen shook his head and then replied, "No, we cannot stop it at this point of time. Stopping it would mean that Konoha is weak, and I can't let the other Hidden Villages see this. Instead, we'll make a trap for Orochimaru and catch him. He has escaped me once, and since he dared come back, I'll not let him escape for the second time." He still felt regret and anguish when he found out that his disciple betrayed the village and see him escape from his grasp.

And then, Jiraiya asked the million dollar question, "Will 'they' help us? Tsunade's friend I mean."

"I hope they will," Hiruzen replied, "It was them whom I got the info from. And I also want to meet them myself too."

Jiraiya nodded and said, "Then, I'll prepare for the inevitable war." He then leaves the office, prepare whatever is needed to face Orochimaru.

Seeing Jiraiya leave, Hiruzen then started to think of a plan to trap and catch Orochimaru once and for all.

Sarutobi wanted to meet Tsunade's friends since they were able to provide him with such vital information. He asked his Anbu to try and find out about these 'mysterious' friends, but to his disappointment, they could not find anything about them. It wasn't that he was suspicious of them of them or something, but no, he was just curious on how they get such information since his most beloved student is not clumsy and stupid enough to let someone know about his plan to attack. One thing that he has in mind that they can see the future. But he chalked it up as impossible, cuz there is no one who could do this both in history and in present.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Come in," said Sarutobi.

The one who entered his office was Shizune, Tsunade's disciple. She came inside and reported, "Hokage-sama, I've come here to say that Tsunade's friend has arrived."

Now, that makes Sarutobi surprised. He had never expected that Tsunade's friends had come to Konoha and help defend it.

He stood up and asked, "Where are they?"

To which Shizune replied, "They're in Tsunade-samas' estate. And one of their friends have requested for an exchange of treasures for Ryo."

This surprised Sarutobi even further. "Really?" he asked, and a nod was his answer. "Good, do as he requested. And I want to see them too."

Now this was Shizune's time to be surprised. Why would the Hokage want to meet them? Then again, they came here via a portal. This means that they're strong, some of them are.

She thought for a while and then said, "You can follow me back to the estate, Hokage-sama."

"Then let us go," was Sarutobi's answer. And so, both of them went to the Senju estate, with a carriage full of Ryo in toll with them.

Shizune was told who Tsunade's friend were and their origin. But she will not tell this to Sarutobi though. Why would she? Since she have seen the immense power of the one named Reima, she immediately knew that this matter must not be told at all cost.

Reima's POV

Sarutobi Hiruzen, the 3rd Hokage of Konoha was now sitting in front of us, looking at us with curiosity. He looked surprised at my appearance, with my shiny golden hair, red piercing eyes, and a haughty looking face, courtesy of Gilgamesh. His next surprise came in the form of Izuku, his green hair and green eyes strike him off as an oddity. I can understand, tho. Green heads are quite rare in the area after all.

"It's nice to meet you, Lord Hokage," I started, as to bring him out of his 'staring'. "My name is Reima and these are my friends. Please do forgive them for not greeting you. They're surprised to see that a big shot like you is coming to meet us."

"Oh no," Sarutobi replied, "I do not mind. I myself wanted to see you since you gave me such an important information about the attack on Konoha, and I wanted to thank you for this."

"Ah," I said, "There's no need for thanks, Lord Hokage. Tsunade is our friend, and since we have info that her birthplace will be attacked, naturally we'll have to help her."

"Hmm," Sarutobi nodded, taking note and grateful that I did not put that matter into heart. And then he said, "Still, I would like to thank you for your help. And I have prepared some rewards for you."

Sarutobi pointed at the pile of Ryos that were exchanged with the treasures that I deposited. "As you have requested, here's the Ryo, equivalent to the amount of treasures that you have exchanged. And, I was thinking about preparing a place for you to stay, but I think that it will not be necessary. I guess that you'll be staying here then?"

"Yes, we will," I replied.

"Now then," I continued,

"Shall we get straight to the point?"
