7 Mysterious Coachman

Ria glanced at Roan with a surprised expression. But at the same time, a light of hope began to surface in her heart.

"Are you serious? Can you really heal my mother?"

Roan patted her head and smiled at her.

'Duh, this type of mortal poison could not even be able to kill the ants living in the Primordial God Realm.' He thought in amusement.

"Of course! Even the alchemists in the Alchemy Tower would have to bow before my vast knowledge regarding the art of alchemy. I only need a few medicinal ingredients to concoct a healing pill for your mother. Don't pull out your wallet. We will use the money I earned for this." Roan grabbed her hand before she could pull out her wallet. He then kissed her forehead gently, which made Ria blush in embarrassment.

"Let your man handle this okay? Stay here with your mother for now. I'll go to the Alchemy Tower for a while and just wait for me here." His voice was full of tenderness when he spoke.

"Mmnn." Ria nodded her head in response.

Roan left Ria's home and went towards the Alchemy Tower's direction. He was now wearing a white mask that covered his face entirely. But his beautiful silver eyes and his long silver hair can still be seen. After wearing the mask, Roan looked more mysterious and elegant. If not for the ordinary clothing that he was now wearing, he would have looked more like a noble.

"Oh shit! Walking is too damn tiring. I forgot that my current body is still very weak. I should get a carriage to send me to the Alchemy Tower." Roan wiped the sweat on his neck while speaking in exasperation.

After walking for a bit more than ten minutes he finally saw a vacant carriage.

"Mister, can you send me towards the Alchemy Tower?" Roan spoke calmly while glancing at the middle-aged coachman. He was surprised after sensing the middle-aged man's strength. He was actually a fighter at the peak stage of the Crusader level. Roan knew that this coachman's origin was not simple.

The coachman also felt surprised after feeling Roan's strength. The man was at the initial stage of the Crusader level. People at the Crusader level are considered rare inside the Hadune Kingdom, and for him to see one today was already shocking. He also turned serious as the guy might be a spy from the royal family. Their plans must not be known or all their many years of effort will go down the drain.

"That will be thirty copper coins." He replied at Roan in a bland tone of voice.

Roan merely smiled before going inside the carriage. It was not a luxurious carriage but one that was made from young mahoga trees.

Their journey continued without a problem until they saw a crowd of people blocking the way.

The horses neighed and stopped running. Roan glanced outside and saw a young woman being dragged by a fat man who was dressed like noble. The woman looked like she was in her late teens. If not for the bruises all over her body and the huge bumped on her face which looked like a result of someone punching her, she would have been very beautiful.

"Move you bitch! I bought you for twenty fucking silver coins, so you better do good and follow my orders from now on!" The fat noble's spittle rained down on the woman's face like droplets of rain, but she could not avoid it as the man was holding her chin tightly.

"Pu!"

She spat on the noble's face which made him close his eyes in disgust. He then took out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his fat face clean with it.

The young woman continued glaring at the fatty, clearly unafraid of his identity.

After wiping his face, the fat noble laughed darkly while glaring at the woman.

"You little slave actually dare to fight back against your master!"

During the whole event, Roan saw the coachman holding something in his sleeves. He was clearly thinking of saving the young woman, but at the same time, he was indecisive in doing so. Roan shook his head and jumped out of the carriage.

"Ehem!"

He produced a light coughing sound that attracted the attention of the fat noble. The latter glanced at the man wearing a white mask. He produced a mysterious vibe, but his ordinary clothing signified that he was a commoner. The noble smirked and glanced condescendingly at Roan.

"My lord, I come with no ill-intentions. I just wanted to buy that woman from you for twenty-five silver coins." Roan pointed at the woman who was still glaring angrily at the noble.

"Forty silver coins, take it or leave it." The fat noble crossed his arms while looking mockingly at Roan. A commoner should not have that amount of money with him. So he was fairly confident that Roan could not be able to cough up that amount of money.

"Oh, okay. Wait let me get it for you." Roan took a small sack from his sleeves and handed it to the noble who stood there with a gaping mouth.

"Here, take it. Now this woman is mine. Thank you, my lord." Roan grabbed the woman's chains and tore it apart. The woman and the fatty were both surprised at Roan's strength. Only someone who was at least a Crusader level is capable of tearing apart a metal chain. The noble was sweating profusely while backing away.

'Good thing I did not say anything that should offend that man.' The fatty heaved a sigh of relief.

Roan glanced at the woman and stretched out his right hand towards her while smiling brightly.

"Can you stand up?"
