An end to a journey part 1

King was sitting in a room. There was two beds, three single cushioned chairs, a large desk on each side with varieties of equipment and tools, most likely they wouldn't be touched during the first year. He was explained by the Warden that he should have a roommate to help stop the rumours about King's gifts, because other students would believe that unique people wouldn't have a roommate. When King asked the Warden about how will people found out about his powers the Warden simply laughed and remarked that in school either nothing stays secret or will always be a secret and King would definitely be discovered. King was thinking about who his roommate will be when there was a knock on the door. King quickly got up and walked to the door, thinking what if this was his new roommate he wanted to have a good impression. Then there was a second knock on the door, King was running out of time and couldn't think of anything he could do to be impressive so he just walked to the door and open it. The second the door open King got punched in the face. King stumbled back and immediately went into a defensive position but realised he had no weapons so he looked to his attacker. He was dark brown hair fellow, tall but not muscular and had a look on his face that was mixed with confusion and confidence when he saw King. "Move out of my way servant filth". Moving out the way King was about to correct him but before he could. "Now I need you to help unpack my belongings before my roommate, I must have a good impression". King then replied "I am not a servant-" he was cut off my the new roommate. "What. Not a servant. Who are, a poor student? perhaps a thief, whatever you will claim to be get out of my sight now before I burn you two a crisps". King was shocked, not my how rude this individual was but how he claimed to be able to burn him with magic on purpose. Whenever King did magic it was by accident and would get him in trouble. "Can you really use magic"? King asked in a whisper. "Of course I can why else would I be in the elit section of the dormitories. Now leave before my new roommate appears". "I am your roommate" the boy grasped, surprised that King, a person he just accused of being a thief was his roommate. "I'm sorry I didn't know… I'm Raios, who are you?" King was surprised because Raios truly did seem sorry, which he didn't except. "I'm King" King said with his hand stretched out for a hand shake. Raios just looked at him and then said "ok…. King, nice to meet you". To King it sounded more like a question then a proper statement, he then brought his hand back because Raios wasn't going to shake it. Raios then started to unpack his belongings and King just sat there not sure what to do. About half an hour later Raios was done a lied down on his bed with his hands behind his head. King then asked "you said would would burn me to a crisp earlier, what magic do you have?" Raios looked at him "are you kidding me?" King then shook his head to indicate he wasn't Raios sighed and then rubbed his hands together. "My mother was an mage, a battle doctor to be specific, my father a light and fire elemental from brith. They hoped that they compatible abilities would impact me and my siblings for more healing suited roles.… I however was different. I'm the youngest by the way so I was a complete shock for by parents. Instead of light or fire like my siblings which focuses on healing I awoke with the element lightning". He paused and yellow lighting appeared in his hands, cracking and zapping to and fro between his hands. "Isn't lightning super rare and powerful". King asked in awe, still staring at the lightning between Raios hands. "Well it's suppose to be but only if you use it right, it's one of the only sub elements that are on par with the core elements destructive power. And which is the worst part if you believe my parents is that most lightning elementals or mages is that they are very high battle potential." King letting Raios words sink in then asked. "Why is getting lightning so hard?" "The only way to get lightning is, one, have fire and light as elements than awakening lightning, and that is with no other elements. Two, your parents must be a light and fire elemental or mage. And three, which is the rarest one, one parent have both elements. You really don't know anything do you." The way Raios wasn't hurtful but was said with absolute conviction. "Yeah, your right". King said defeated. "Well at least you know your limits". Raios then said to cheer king up "don't worry you can't be the worst person in our class" mentioning the classes they were going to be joining just made King more nervous. He then asked, "what are the core elements you were talking about"? "Never mind, you are definitely going to be the worst in the class". Raios remarked in a joking manner, which made King laugh. Then King asked "when do class start I've been wondering ever sense I saw the opening ceremony". "Next week. The teachers let the first year students have a week off at the start to learn where everything is". It was lucky King thought or he would of been left behind.
