9 Scene 8 : Marianne

Lilian was reflecting behind the auditorium building. She hit her head. How could she be so stupid? Lilian knew what would happen when the performance took place. She should not have taken part in this event.

No.

Maybe if she went along and changed her preparations, perhaps she could avoid the tragedy?

"I saw your acting. Very cool."

Lilian's steps stopped. Someone suddenly appeared before her. Shiny black hair in the wind. Both of his thumbs raised and pointed at her. The silver eyes looked at her curiously.

"Where did you learn to act like that?" He approached Lilian.

Of all people, why did this person see her chaos instead?

"Are you following me, Your Highness?"

Michael leaned forward to see Lilian's face beside him. "Hey, where are you going?"

"As far as possible from you." Lilian spoke through the laser beam in her eyes.

The day after Lilian returned to the academy, their seniors visited the school for an inspection, recruiting anyone who looked prominent to join their division. And the second prince was one of them. He always appeared where when Lilian was alone.

"So you ignored me, huh?" Michael let Lilian overtake him. "Ah ... I got word that Arthur will come here."

Lilian stopped. 'Arthur? At the academy? ' She turned her body. "What is he doing here?"

Michael looked at her, his lips pursed. "Look! I'm right after all..."

"Pardon?"

"You're only going to talk to me if it's about Arthur, right?"

Lilian folded her arms over her chest. "Of course. Is there another reason?"

"It's fine though if you want to play like that."

Lilian saw him approaching. She immediately looked away. "I have no intention of playing with you, Your Grace. You can find another playmate." Lilian ignored and continued on, leaving Michael who smiled mysteriously, not caring if she was being rude to this royal prince.

She did not read further about the other characters. She only knows at times when they interact with them or their dialogue catches her eye when reading. She remembers how Michael's character. As she recalled, her interaction and Michael was not so much.

There was clearly something wrong with the prince, which made her not want to deal with him any further.

Lilian returned to her class. When the final bell rang, her friends began to gather at one point. Lilian turned to Bella.

"Is there something interesting?"

"Looks like a senior just came and said hello. Let's us see too."

Lilian, who was tall for her age, could easily see who was the center of attention. There stood someone with a golden brown hair and striking blue eyes. Next to him, the black-haired prince waved to the people around, like providing services to the fans.

'Oh ... that's really Arthur...'

What should she do now?

"Isn't that your brother?" Bella whispered beside her. Lilian murmured 'Yes'.

"You should say hello, right?" Lilian glanced at her then looked at Arthur. Unintentionally, her eyes met Michael's eyes, and the man looked proud.

Lilian suddenly felt annoyed. She made her own way to Arthur and when she was before him, Lilian hugged him.

"Brother! What are you doing here? I didn't know you were coming!" She made her voice as sweet as possible. The body in her arms was still frozen, reminding her of the first time they met.

"Oh sorry ... I unknowingly hugged you in front of many people." Lilian stepped back and tucked her hair behind her ears.

"Wow, they must be close to Miss Lilian holding him in public."

"What a harmonious family!"

"Oh this is the first time Lady Lilian looks nervous, look at her cheek burning."

Lilian clearly heard the words around her. She was really nervous. What if Arthur feels offended and draws his sword here? Lilian glanced at the sword at his waist.

'Impossible, right?'

She did not know what Arthur would do. This attitude, was not written in the script she read. Lilian intends to try to do things outside the script. Maybe she could change the ending and return to her world.

"Who is this?"

Lilian looked up. Next to Arthur, stood a woman. Her red hair was the most striking thing that quickly made Lilian recognize it.

'There she is! The great fiancee of his brother! Marianne Epheryl'

Lilian stared back at Arthur, would he introduce them? Two very opposing figures? Arthur only glanced at it.

"Let me introduce you, this is my sister, Lilian. And this is Miss Marianne Epheryl."

...only that?

He didn't openly introduce his fiancée? Well, their engagement hasn't been legalized yet, because Marianne is still not even 18 years old. But the news of their engagement is no secret. Lilian almost laughed when she caught the look of Marianne when Arthur only introduced them to that extent.

"Ah ... brother, where are you going after this?" Lilian gracefully took Arthur's arm and passed through the crowd while waving kindly, asking for a way for them to pass.

"I still need to be in the headmaster's office."

"Have you had lunch?" Lilian had a hunch that Arthur was just trying to be polite to her in front of the crowd, so she let Liliana hold him.

"I ate on the way here."

"Ohh, that's a shame. How about dinner together?" Lilian did not give up. She needed to bring their relationship closer so that Arthur's judgment on her changed.

Suddenly Arthur stopped. "Lilian."

'Ohh he will be angry. I need to act like a poor sister. ' However, In Ha really hates being pathetic. Arthur pulled his arm.

"I heard you got a role in the performance, shouldn't you practice?"

In other words. 'You're annoying. Go!'

That's about Lilian's interpretation.

"Arthur, what are you doing? Your sister just met you, shouldn't you two spend a little time together?" The honeyed voice sounded behind Lilian. Lilian glanced at her. She appreciated the words for her, but Marianne intention was very clearly seen. She wants to get her sympathy as 'sister-in-law'.

"I can practice later, brother." Lilian smiled and cheerfully ask him. "Do you want some tea first in my room?"
