6 Scene 5 : Father

"All right, I will go to my room and rest a little before dinner arrives." Agnelia kissed Lilian's cheek and came out. She herself was amazed when the last time she kissed her little princess.

For the first time, Agnelia did it awkwardly. However, seeing Lilian's normal reaction, made Agnelia quickly adjust herself. She was her mother after all. As long as her child not rejecting her or looking embarrassed and awkward, Agnelia would be happy to improve their relationship

Swarvis reported that dinner was ready. Lilian half-heartedly went to the dining room. When she saw his father, Noland. Lilian kissed his cheek.

Even though Noland slightly surprised, he smiled and patted her arm.

"Are you feeling better?"

"Yes a bit. It would be better if Father was often at home."

Noland did not stay longer after Lilian had fallen asleep at that time. He was busy as hell. But he started paid attention to his child. During this time, he had never felt worried leaving Lilian alone. But seeing her heartbreaking cry at that moment, his image about Lilian ini his head was shattered into pieces. And Noland suddenly felt like a failure father.

From his wife story, Noland could understand a loneliness that Lilian felt.

In the past, whether Noland was aware or not, he himself distanced himself from his two children. He wanted his two child to grow independently like other noble children. He and Agnelia were also taught the same thing. But he realized, this way of educating would only give birth to the same children and the cycle would repeat until the next generation.

There was a time when he wanted his children to grow up like normal kids, not caring about politics for a while and Lilian's attitude that day, tearing down the perfect walls that surrounded him.

"Would you like to move to the Main Mansion?" Noland offered suddenly.

"Huh?"

"That's a good idea." Agnelia concurred. Lilian kissed Agnelia's cheek as soon as she entered the dining room.

"Thank you, but no, I think that unnecessary."

"That ... it will be difficult for mother and father to commute." Agnelia said with disappointment. She had just improved their relations with her only daughter and now distance was their barrier.

Agnelia must be on Noland's side and help him in social relations. She couldn'nt live in here that was so far from the capital.

Lilian shook her head. "Tomorrow I have to go back to the academy. If you let me, I will find time to play at the main mansion and disturb you two as often as possible."

Arthur frowned as he entered the dining room. His father was laughing and stroking Lilian's head.

"Ah ... Your Royal Highness ... please have a sit ... "

"Please don't stand up, duke and duchess Lesnerg. Thank you for your hospitality. Forgive me for coming without notice. I will be sure to convey your kind hospitality to the king."

"Please don't think about it." Noland replied humbly. "Ah ... Let me introduce you, this is my daughter, Lilian Gracia Lesnerg, Your Highness. I heard you two have met?"

"Ah yes ... I just found out that Lesnerg's youngest daughter is an interesting person."

Lilian glanced at Michael, accidentally her gaze and Arthur's meet in the air. Lilian bit her lower lip. Should she continue with her 'bitch's sister' role'? In front of the Lesnerg couple?

"I was really sorry. I did not mean to upset my brother and offended his precious friend, His Highness. If they both objected to my presence, I could eat in my room." Lilian looked at Swarvis, implying that he should prepare separate meals. Lilian was not in the mood to make a small talk if Michael was still here. Noland and Agnelia looked surprised.

"Is that true, Arthur?"

Michael glanced at Arthur, wondering what he was going to do. Arthur stared at Lilian who refused to look at him.

"... No ... I think there was a misunderstanding ... Lilian didn't do anything to me, but she did indeed offend His Highness." Arthur glanced at Michael. Now it's all up to him. If indeed he was offended, nothing could be done and Duke Lesnerg had to formally apologize. But Michael smiled and waved.

"Well, let's forget it. I'm glad I met Lady Lilian." Behind his smile, Lilian was sure he thought the opposite.

"It's a relief if His Majesty feels that way." Lilian ended the topic and ate quietly. Throughout dinner, Lilian only focused on her father and mother. She did not involve Arthur or Michael to speak at all.

The Lesnerg couple who were aware of Lilian's attitude were trying to finish dinner quickly but Michael seemed to be dragging on discussing insignificant matters.

He was a prince, so the Duke couple couldn't do anything they want. Although he kept talking to their parents, Lilian felt his gaze fixed on her. Michael seemed to test Lilian's limits. He saw the girl twitching from earlier. Finally, lilian could not take it anymore. She stood up.
