1 Prologue

The Killer Game consisted of nine Players--three Killers, three Civilians, one Doctor, one Detective and one Psycho. During the night, the Killers will kill one person; the Doctor will try and save the victim. Doctor has only one bottle of antidote, one bottle of poison, both of which can only be used once in each Game, and both cannot be used on the same night. The Detective's blood is a truth serum, so he/she can force it down a Player each night to find out their identity. However, the Detective can also watch previous years' clips of the Killer Game. They cannot do both in a night. The Psycho, when dead, can bring a person to Hell. The three Civilians are without any power. In the day, all Players will gather in the Square where all Players debate. At the end of each debate, every Player can vote on who they want to die. The person with the most number of votes will be killed by Dow, the Game Master. Players can choose to forfeit their votes. If the vote is a tie for two rounds straight, the debate will be over and no one will be killed.

As the debate will only take a few hours, for the rest of the day, the arena--located in what used to be Sentosa island--will be open to non-Players. The Killer Game's sole purpose is to entertain every non-Player in Singapore(via livestream), so a chance to visit the arena is considered a privilege.

As Dow has been the Game Master for many years, he is considered a pioneer. It is rumoured that he does not age, which researchers have found to be true, though what he does is still unknown. But not only that, he is said to have fathered an illegitimate child, who later was murdered by an unknown murderer. However, as the police don't have evidence of any murder, they concluded that the child died of natural causes. And even if Dow was found guilty of murder, he would not be charged, because the government officials needed him to host the Killer Game. A legend said that only the chosen one could host the Killer Game, and since Dow has been hosting it for generations, they believe him to be the chosen one. Therefore, because of their wanting of their entertainment, even if Dow was found guilty of murder, he would not be charged.

Many found this unfair, including the child he supposedly murdered. There was never any evidence of a murder, nor was there any evidence that Dow had a child. He did, actually, but he didn't murder her. She left, on her own accord. But her whereabouts are unknown, and Dow couldn't be bothered. It wasn't as if the mother was still alive. It wasn't as if he cared about this child. It was a foolish mistake.

She was an accident.

But even accidents could be turned into a blessing.

Except, the blessing she had wasn't for Dow.
