4 Chapter 4

[Authors note: I know this takes place in Japan, but I'm American and so I won't be doing honorifics. They are too confusing to remeber]

(A week has passed since that night. Sakiri and Kokoto passed their finals.)

"Yay! We did it!"

"Uh-huh"

"Aren't you happy?"

"I have a combined knowledge of hundreds of gods in me."

"Oh yeah. But still, I don't, and its thanks to you that I passed so let's go out and celebrate."

"I don't know. I'm tired."

(Kokoto looks at Sakiri and sees her giving him a grin.)

"Damn that face. Fine. But you're paying."

"Yay!"

(Kokoto and Sakiri go down to a little ramen shop not far from his house)

"What'll you being having sir?"

"I'll have the Toyko ramen."

"And for the little lady?"

"I'll also do the Toyko."

"Alright, two Toykos coming right up."

"So Koko I was wondering something."

"I'm sorry who?"

"What? Is it bad?"

"No. Nevermind. So what do you want to know?"

"Are you a virgin?"

(Kokoto immediately spits the drink he had in his mouth out. Causing everyone to look at him)

"I'm sorry?"

"I'm kidding! Oh god, you should've seen your face. You got so red!"

"It's not funny."

"Oh, it was hilarious. Ok, I won't joke anymore."

"Uh-huh"

"Do you like me?"

"Is this a joke?"

"No, I'm being serious this time."

"Ok then yes. I think I do like you."

"Why?"

"Why... well because you're beautiful. You're smart, kind, courageous, persistent, stubborn, and..."

"And?"

"And you've accepted the real me. You accepted the part of me that I'm ashamed of. I've watched you, humans. I've watched you murder your own kind over the littlest of things. And I've seen what you've down to people who are different. And hell if the gods hadn't stepped in then the human race would've killed itself off. And because I'm in this human form I can die. I know it's weird. I'm a god with powers you humans could never even dream of. But as long as I'm in this body I can die."

"God it's pathetic. I was once such a powerful and mighty god. Now I've been condemned to die in a human's body. In the beginning, I hated that thought. I cursed whoever did this to me till I could speak no more. But now after meeting you, it's not so bad."

"Stop you're gonna make me cry."

"Heh. Sorry. It's these damn human emotions. But I want to know something too."

"What?"

"What does it mean to be boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"wha...wha...what? Why do you ask?"

"Because some kids at school are asking if I'm your boyfriend. Am I?"

"No!"

"What is it?"

"It's a word that you give to the person that you like. The person that you want to spend all your time with. The person you think about even when they aren't around. The person you love."

"Have you ever had a boyfriend?"

"...no"

"Could I be your boyfriend?"

(Just as Kokoto asks the question their food arrives.)

"Oh haha look at that, the food has arrived.

(Sakiri immediately starts to eat. Obviously trying to avoid the question. They finish eating and Kokoto ends up paying. They leave the shop and start walking home)

"So?"

"Huh?"

"Could I be your boyfriend?"

"Why? Why me? I mean you could do so much better."

"How can you think that? I have the memories of almost all the gods. I have the knowledge of every single human ever born. And I can say that out of all of them none are as good as you."

(Sakiri blushes)

"You're lying."

"I swear you, humans."

(Kokoto grabs Sakiri's arm and pulls her close.)

"Wha...what are you doing?"

"Saki I love you. So, please. Let me be your boyfriend."

(Kokoto can feel Sakiri's heart beating)

"Ok"

"Saki, Is it ok to kiss you now?"

"I guess."

(Kokoto leans in)
