40 Chapter 38- High Paladins

Kazuki entered the hall and sat in a golden chair. In front of him was a gigantic golden round table surrounded by high paladins. They also sat on their respective chairs and was waiting for him in order for the meeting to start.

"First, we should discuss about our national defense" a high paladin with purple cape said. The others started to quarrel since they each have their own topics to discuss and wanted to state their opinions first.

Kazuki who got irritated by the noise gave up and decided to listen to the 60 high paladins request one by one.

(Note: High paladin's cape tells their position. For example, the one with purple cape is the one in charge of national defense while the one with green cape is in agriculture. The remaining paladins who wear red capes were like a congress who votes if they agree or disagree on a certain matter.)

After hearing the opinions and request of the normal high paladins, he then asked the ones in charge of governing about their worries. A high paladin with green cape stood up. He was the one tasked to manage the kingdom's agriculture.

"Sir I would like to ask your suggestions regarding our problem in agriculture. Our country's lands are fertile and our harvests are always plenty all year round but, our problem are the increasing numbers of livestock. I'm afraid if their population keeps on increasing we might not have enough harvest to feed them" he stated the problem directly to the point. Kazuki also noticed that thee are many sheep and cows on the way so he thought of an idea.

"How about we trade livestock to Crux or the Dragon' Republic for food in the winter? We'll also have enough wool because of the abundance of sheep" Kazuki suggested. Every high paladin raised their left hand in agreement to Kazuki's suggestion. He then turned to the high paladin wearing yellow cape. He was the one in charge of economy so he needed to consult him first before arranging the trade. He hasn't said a word yet when the paladin said "I'll arrange the deal." Kazuki understood that he also agrees to the suggestion and is willing to support it. After the meeting, the went to his room in the castle that was still being built. Half of the castle was already finished constructing so Kazuki stayed in the left side because the right side is still under construction.

When he opened the door, he was greeted by cold glares from Sakura Maggie and Coppelia. They got bored in sitting in a room all day because Kazuki was busy dealing with his kingdom's affairs. They also wanted to go sightseeing but no one would accompany them and the paladins guarding them were over protective.

They're going back to the academy in two days so they want Kazuki to join them sightseeing tomorrow. Kazuki who just entered the room couldn't figure out why the three was sending cold gazes at him as if he did something wrong.

"What's the matter?" he asked.

"Join us in our sightseeing tomorrow" Sakura demanded.

"I can't I still have some things to do" he replied. He promised the high paladin in charge in defense that he would let him meet Griffin so he has to arrange the papers in order to form an alliance with the Holy Kingdom.

Sakura's face reddened in anger and she slapped Kazuki's face leaving a red mark. Kazuki tried to ask for help but Coppelia and Maggie just gave him a cold look.

He finally gave up and agreed to go sightseeing with them the next day and told Azazel to reschedule his meeting.
