4 New Spell, New Beginnings

As the day turned into night, Sari stared wrongly at the unconscious boy occupying her bed.

After scaring away the pack of beasts, Beri suddenly fainted and was left unconscious. Although she was not sure, Sari thought this might have been due to Beri using too much magic.

Throughout the day, Beri had been showing off his newfound powers, which left him with little mana remaining when he needed it the most. As the sky darkened further, Sari decided it was time for her to sleep as well.

After checking the cave entrance, Sari was finally able to relax. She found herself in a commutable sitting position and fell into a deep sleep.

===== Next Day =====

As the following day came, Beri slowly began to open his eyes. His first day in this fantasy world had been a strange one.

After slowly propping himself up in the makeshift bed, Beri noticed that Sari was nowhere to be found. The vegetation covering the cave entrance had been slightly moved, allowing some of the morning sunshine to shine through.

Recalling the previous day's events, Beri concluded that Sari thought of the last night.

"I really need to learn how to conserve my mana better..." Beri muttered to himself.

After slowly getting up from the grassy bed, Beri walks outside. Outside he found Sari doing some morning excursive.

"Good Morning, Sari!" Beri said, trying not to startle her, however from how good her perception was yesterday, he had guessed she already knew he was awake.

"Good Morning, Beri! Are you feeling better now after getting some rest?" Sari stopped training momentarily and began to walk towards Beri.

"Never felt better! Sleeping due to lack of mana is surprisingly comfortable," Beri responds jokingly.

"It eats, you know what you did wrong! If that had happened and those wolves had attacked us instead, both of us would be dead by now!" Sari said, trying to sound as harsh as possible.

Beri understood what she was trying to say. If this were to have been any other situation, both of their lives could have been lost. And at the time, he knew he was taking a risk. However, it was a risk he was willing to take since the alternative was certain death rather than uncertain death.

As Sari continued to do her morning workout, Beri decided that he wanted to try and create a new spell. Finding a lovely tree to sit under Beri began by opening the Spells folder and starting a new file.

'Now what kind of Spell should I make... I can do like I did with the light spell and modify the firebolt, but that doesn't seem much fun' Beri sat, contemplating what effect he could try and recreate relatively easily with his current understanding of magic.

As he was deep in thought, he would look up at Sari, trying from time to time. As her session continues, she became more and more sweaty. Religion that the closest River was by the meadow Beri came up with a brilliant idea.

'Let us make a Shower spell; it is the perfect first project. First, it will allow me to try a new element swell as how I can effectively recreate different shapes of water using magic, But most important of all, I can try and optimize it to allow for more water with less mana cost.'

With his new concept in mind, Beri created a new folder in the 'Spells' folder. This new folder was called 'Water Element.' In the water folder, Beri made a new file called 'shower. Spell'. After opening the empty file, beri began to work.

He first wanted to deed which modules he had available and which he would needful this Spell. After some experimentation, Beri came across the code for all of the modules he had known. They went as follows.

===== Modules =====

Element.Fire

Element.Water

Element.Air

Element.Earth

Mana.Manipulation

World.Position.Local

===== End =====

After looking through some of the code in these modules, Beri taught him an excellent understanding of their limitations.

For example, the World Position Local module was used to specify a position in space where a spell would appear after being cast.

However, presumably due to his low level, Beri only had access to the 'Local' Module, which allowed him to maintain and cats a spell at a distance of 50 meters.

Later on, Beri believes he might even be able to create some teleportation spells using later versions of this set of muddles. But that was far in the future.

After taking a look through the modules, Beri began to work. The first thing he did was import the water element and local position modules since both were necessary for the essential unions of the Spell.

Beris's first goal was to create a small stream of water, however, in the sky. This was relatively easy; however, this simple application of magic cost him one mana point. This world since if only one stream was so costly, would the hundred of smaller streams cost.

After succeeding in his first goal, Beri moved on the next, somehow splitting the stream into multiple smaller streams.

After some thought, Beri realizes that he should try and use the same method used on earth. Instead of casting many smaller streams of water. Beri would cat one large high-pressure stream, spilled into the much smaller creek in a sort of magical shower head.

After about an hour, beri achieved something he deems close enough. The water pressure wasn't tremendous, and casting it once cost him three mana points, but this was well worth it in beri mind.

'Cleanliness was Is very important. Especially during medica times.' Ber thought as he was looking at the hovering stream of shower water flowing infant of him.

'Does this thing ever stop or will it just run like this until i calve the spell' Beri thought.

He had never let a spell run for much longer than five minutes, so he thought this opportunity was perfect for some experimentation.

And luckily enough, just as he was about to strip naked and enter the shower. A newly trained air walks up behind him.

"Where is all of this water coming from? I never heard of any one who can use two types of magic before," Sari asked as she stared at the many streams of water falling to the ground.

"Maybe I'm just very talented. Let's not talk about that how about you clean yourself up using this new Spell of my own creation" Brushing that horrifying comment under the rug, Beri encouraged Sari to try his new Spell.

'Who would have to know multi-element mages weren't common... I certainly didn't.' Beri swore to himself.

If he had thought about it a bit harder, it was pretty evident since most mages could barely use one element, who would try and use two in this world.

After returning to the cave, Beri sat down at the table and began to think about what spells would be helpful in the future.

He needed to know was to strengthen his combat power, so Beri's highest priority was to create a new offensive sepal that could atlas kill one of those wolves in one hit while minimizing the amount of mana needed.

The firebolt spell was powerful, but it cost him half of his mana to kill one lowly wolf. This was unacceptable.

As he began to do some experimentation, Beri started to feel as if today was going to be a perfect day.
