3 Chapter 3- Father

[hummmmm][hummmm][hummm]

A tall middle-aged male wearing a red shirt, black jeans and a long white overall was standing in front of a glass workbench working on something. Although he was of an age of 35ish and had a couple of wrinkles here and there it couldn't hide his handsome face, with addition to a big smile and long grey hair due to not dyeing them, which were tied to the back just added to his grace showed that he must have been quite exceptional especially in his younger days. Although a bit of tiredness could be seen in eyes which were hidden behind a pair of half-frame glasses due to sleepless last night, this joyful face showed as if he was having the time of his life.

The blueish light emitting from the workbench formed a 3D hologram model of intricate circuits which were beyond any sense to a normal eye. But in the eyes of the middle-aged man, it looked like he was seeing his precious baby. The same kind of circuit design could be seen on a band like equipment that was carefully placed on a small platform on the working bench. But the circuits were so small that one needed to see from at least a high powered microscope.

The technology of earth had advanced at an exponential rate, especially in the past 60 years. And the band like equipment was the product of the state of the art most advanced technologies available to earth.

[hummm]"Finally today is the day when I will finally able to complete the project Z. Hahaha.. finally today is the day when my last 10 years labour will bore fruit. And today is the day when the field of science and technology will make another breakthrough."

[hummmm]

The middle-aged man kept on working on the band like equipment that was named project Z when suddenly his mobile rang.

[ring][ring]

The middle-aged man looked had his phone and his smile broadened."oh it's Ollie. Perfect time with his assistance project Z will be completed even earlier." The middle-aged man picked up his phone and said: "Ollie come fast to the lab I...." Before he could finish his sentence Oliver interrupted and said in a serious tone "Dad I need your help, we are in big trouble. I am coming to the lab as fast as I can and Theo is with me too." And with that, he ended the call.

Yes, the middle-aged man was Oliver's adopted dad. But he wasn't any normal person, he was The Sebastian Christian, the worlds most famous scientist, inventor and creator of this century. He had 5 PHD's in different subjects of electronics, mechanics and computer sciences. On top of that not only was he a handsome man but his inventions have made him no less rich than people like Ram Sharma. He was the best of the best but he had his major flaws, but not many people knew about them. As his son, Oliver knew that behind his perfect figure was a loner of a man who had no remaining family so to speak of which had driven him into becoming a workaholic. Which further did a number on his personality and resulting him becoming an antisocial freak deep into his research.

Sebastian's parents died in a car accident when he was only in college and the only girlfriend he had left him after a short period after that. This created his work driven attitude that he had now.

Shortly after his first heartbreak and sorrow from losing his only family members did he decide to not marry anyone and remain focused on his research, thus having no children and no family in this world.

Slowly as his age progressed he started to feel lonely and empty inside. This led to his decision in adopting a child. So when he went to the orphanage and met with Oliver, a smart and intelligent child with no family to his side. He saw a bit of himself in Oliver and decided to adopt him. Till now he thought this to be the best decision he had made in his life. He doted on Oliver more than he would have on his own son because he could feel an equal amount of love and affection from Oliver for him. It could be said that both of them were blessed to have each other.

After 5 minutes Oliver with Theo walked into the lab. This was Sebastian's personal lab, it was quite near to their villa so that they could easily commute. Seeing Oliver and Theo's serious expression Sebastian knew that this was something big.

With an expression of frown on his face, he asked, "Ollie Theo, what happened."

"Dad it's like this..."

Oliver lead to explain everything to Sebastian in as detailed as possible. Seeing Theo's ashen face he could tell that Theo must be really tense since last night and didn't have any proper rest. So he said to Oliver "I understand the situation. Ollie bring Theo to the resting room he must have had a rough time, let him rest. I will contact the police chief and get everything settled. You guys don't have to worry about anything. And don't even think about doing anything recklessly." Even though Sebastian didn't have many contacts in higher places due to his antisocial behaviour but he knew a couple of people.

So before Theo could even respond Sebastian already dialled a number "Hello Chief Thompson yeah I am Sebastian..."

As Sebastian started talking on the mobile, Oliver took Theo to one of the resting room.

"Theo as dad said you had a long day, go to sleep I will wake you up if there is something."Theo knew that this was for his own good so he just nodded and lied on the bed. Before Oliver left he said, "Theo you should move in with me and dad after all this is done." "I.." before Theo could reply Oliver said again," Done give an answer now, rest well." After saying that he left the room with Theo in a complicated state of mind.
