26 Hinata's Change and The Reaper's Web Part 1

Over her years of training with Shiki, Hinata began to change not only in ability but also in attitude and general behavior. Shiki had no doubt bee a big influence in the girls change. She no longer walked with her head down and even though she was still polite and gentle, she had grown a backbone.

Her father, Hyuga Hiashi didn't notice this at first as he spent very little time with her after her disappointing match with her younger sister Hanabi.

It was Hanabi who still watched her big sister, that noticed her change. This led to an interesting turn of events as one day during which Hinata had no classes, she was approached by her younger sister with a request.

"Nee-sama, can we train together today?" Asked Hanabi.

Hinata was somewhat surprised at her younger sister's request but responded positively nonetheless.

"Okay Hanabi, let's train together today."

Hiashi hiddenly saw this conversation but while he didn't think all too well of the idea, he said to himself that once in while, it made no difference. It is not like he desired to alienate his daughters from one another and so, he decided to watch the their training.

The result was astonishing for all the Hyuga, Hinata included. If Shiki were there he would merely have nodded while thinking 'My teaching have not been in vain!' but when Hinata defeated Hanabi without even trying, it was truly shocking for the trio.

Hanabi was shocked at her sister's power, Hiashi was more shocked however at her attitude. Hinata took the initiative and subdued her younger sister with no hesitation at all! Hinata herself was greatly surprised by how easy it was for her, further raising Shiki's value in her heart.

After being dumbfounded by his daughter's changes for a while, Hiashi told her to spar with him instead.

Naturally it was completely impossible for Hinata to win at this point in her life but she still managed to somewhat push her father for two reasons. One was that he obviously was holding himself back substantially as for the other was a technique that Shiki taught Hinata, his very own Chakra Burst.

This technique had gone a long way since its creation. The efficiency and power were improved and by combining it with the gentle fist along the ability to expel chakra from all the body's tenketsu turned it into an even more powerful technique.

Not only could it enhance the power and speed of attacks and other movements, it could also extend the attack range. If before, the gentle fist only needed to graze the opponent to work, now even near misses were sufficient. The power of a direct hit could be imagined, the sheer force of the chakra was enough to decimate chakra networks and even cause heavy physical damage.

Shiki could do it better of course and even combine it with nature transformation for devastating effect.

Using the Chakra Burst, Hinata was even able to score a couple of grazes that actually hurt Hiashi due to him not expecting such a move leading to him stopping the spar since he had seen enough as well.

After a short inquiry, both Hanabi and Hiashi were made aware of Shiki. Although Hiashi had heard of the boy and his achievements he was still dumbfounded at how much time and effort he put into Hinata and his the level of skill he had shown in creating this technique.

Hanabi became extremely curious about this supposedly miraculous boy that allowed her sister to become so strong so fast while Hiashi felt he wanted to have a sit down with him both in regards to Hinata and if he was amenable to teach his Chakra burst to the Hyuga clan.

Speaking of Shiki, going over the last few years since he arrived in Konoha, he accomplished a whole lot while inside the village. At the same time though, his plans in the world beyond were greatly advancing unbeknownst to all. The Reaper's Web was starting to cover the world, slowly but surely.

He had several projects being carried out by his soul clones. for example the very first soul clone he had dispatched was gathering useful subordinates, Shiki had made quite the effort to acquire some powerful shinobi that were still young and untrained at this time.

Another clone had infiltrated the Fire Temple and learned their special jutsu, obtaining the Gift of the Sages which was a special chakra required for the Raigo: Thousand Hand Strike used by Chiriku and Asuma in the anime. The clone now held a respectable position in the temple as a promising future candidate for the position of Head Monk.

He had also attempted to locate several locations where powerful secrets laid. So far he got two main ones. He managed to locate a wandering tribe that were descended from the Stone of Gelel ore miners and through genjutsu he quietly extracted the information on the location of the ore vein. During this process, he also found Haido a warlord in search of the very same thing.

Although in the movie, he gave Naruto quite the hard time, he posed absolutely no challenge to Shiki as he slaughtered him and his subordinates and took the Book of Gelel that contained the methods to forge Stones of Gelel from the special ore and how to harness their power.

After finding the location, Shiki then used the World Seal Jutsu combined with the knowledge of the Book of Gelel to extract all the ore and move it to a safer location.

The other place of power that he had found was located in the Land of Wind where three people could be seen standing. One was a hooded figure in black robes wearing a creepy mask while the others were two young girls.

One had long, nearly waist-length, spiky light-blonde hair with Two thick strands reaching onto her rosy cheeks. She also had violet eyes with small brows and was quite short considering she looked the same age as Shiki despite being much older.

Her outfit was a black high collared sleeveless undershirt, a sleeveless pink kimono like shirt, long light grey pants, black fingerless gloves that reached her upper arm, brown pouch wrapped around her waist white bandages wrapped up to his knees on both legs, brown belt, and grey sandals.

The other had fair skin, dark eyes and light blue hair which she kept in a spiky ponytail with medium length strands of hair framing her face. Her outfit consisted of a teal short kimono with a grey turtleneck and short sleeves with a jade-green rope belt around her waist, and red shorts, light purple wrist bands and navy blue sandals. Also, the strands of hair that framed her face were shorter.

The hooded figure was one of Shiki's soul clones wearing his Reaper's Mask he had also changed his appearance to that of a 20 year old version of himself.

The three were in the ruins of Roran, a kingdom that once stood in the Land of Wind's desert. Shiki desired the source of Roran's prosperity, the Ryumyaku or Dragon Vein, a reservoir of unlimited chakra hidden underground.

This was the location where Shiki had planned to build his main base of operations. Although he had several different hideouts throughout the world, this would be the crown jewel. The source of the Ryumyaku was sealed by the Fourth Hokage before he took that position, in the movie, smoe random shinobi named Mukade tried to control the source but this time Shiki got to it long before.

Unsealing thee source would be easy considering that a lot of Minato's sealing jutsu were based on what Kushina taught him, in other words, Uzumaki style seals but first, Shiki made a few preparations.

"Why are we here Shiki-sama?" Asked the blond haired girl.

"Shiki-sama has his reasons! It's not your place to question them shorty!" The light blue haired girl shouted.

"Don't call me shorty! And of course I know that! I was just curious!" The blonde loudly retorted.

"Now, now, no need to fight girls! As for why we are her it is because a source of limitless chakra that was sealed in the past rests in this place. I am going to unseal it and make a bse here for us!"

"WOW!"

"As expected of Shiki-sama!"

Replied the two girls.

The source of the Ryumyaku lied in the center of a chasm, the first thing Shiki did was to cover that chasm with an earth style jutsu then, he started drawing a pre-designed large barrier seal This was a masterpiece that he had worked tirelessly to create.

It looked like the blueprint of a fortress surrounded by a powerful barrier, after he unsealed the source, it would power the seal to change the surrounding area until in coincided with the blueprint. The various areas inside the range of the seal would also be covered in special sealing barriers he had included in the design. This was something that could not be achieved without the Dragon Vein's unlimited chakra.

After the seal was fully activated the surrounding area could be further modified in real time by altering the blueprint making it a sort of absolute domain of Shiki.

The barrier protecting the fortress was called the Domain of the Five Heavenly Beasts. Its strength was directly proportional to the amount of chakra provided and it would need a constant supply to maintain in other words, the perfect barrier to pair with the Ryumyaku.

It would create an impenetrable shield with five gates, one for each beast. Genbu of the North, Seiryu of the East, Byakko of the West, Suzaku of the South and Oryu of the Center whose gate was in the top of the spherical barrier.

To enter or leave the fortress if one wasn't Shiki himself or those he had given permission they had to pass through the gates which were not only as indestructible as the rest of the barrier but were also guarded by phantoms of the Heavenly Beasts which with the Ryumyaku's supply had the power of tailed beasts.

As a final bonus, the barrier could also saturate the air with chakra that increased the productivity of the soil, the speed of training and the power and healing ability of those inside. Shiki had created this seal by combining several Uzumaki legacy seals without any regard for chakra expenditure considering the place he planned to use it on.

After Shiki finished the setup and unsealed the source of the Dragon Vein the process started leaving his two cute subordinates dumbfounded at his godlike power and elevating his position in their hearts to that of a celestial being.
