The Journey to Atlantis

"William! The car's already waiting!"

"Be right there mom!"

William Starling was just about any normal teenager you would see walking down the streets, and not once pay attention too. But unlike any normal teenager, he carried a heavy burden on his shoulders. You see, William happened to be a foster child. He got adopted after being taken to an orphanage, because his parents mysteriously disappeared on a business trip to a very....well, terrifying place. The Bermuda Triangle.

William was adopted by Scarlett, a very kind person who was also an only mother. Her husband left her after her husband cheated on her with another woman. Scarlett had always wanted children, and decided that perhaps going to the orphanage was a good place to start. Scarlett had heard about William's story, and decided that she would bring him in and raise him as her own.

Now, the reason of the car trip.....ah...there's just one word for it. Curiosity. William wanted to know what happened to his parents, and he would not stop badgering Scarlett until she let him. So, since Scarlett wanted to travel anyways....they were going to the Bermuda Triangle.

"Are you sure about this William?" Scarlett asked, having second thoughts.

"I'm not going to just give up on the thought of what happened to my parents." William said firmly.

"Plus, you are already in trouble with the law."

This was indeed true, as Scarlett had tried to sneak booze from a store for a party, and ended up getting caught. The police said they had to bring her in anyway, but in a panic she ran from them. That was actually part of the reason the duo was leaving London.

"Fine, you win." Scarlett sighed. "As long as your not seasick." She grinned, and then winked at William.

"Seasick? I though we were going to drive to the airport!" William said, shocked. Why would they become "seasick"?!

"You'll see when we get there!" Scarlett said, laughing. She tossed her long blonde hair back, her blue eyes glistening with humor.

William was surprised, yet not really that much. He had been on some crazy trips with Scarlett. Perhaps because she was only 20, but she had some crazy thoughts. Once they went to Paris and she straight up thought it would be cool to steal a bolt from the Eiffel Tower. The officials found out, and she ended up getting in trouble.

William walked to the car, which was just a simple jeep, and thought about what mess they might get into now. They had already gone on a trip that ended up getting his black hair entangled with snake babies, and one where Scarlett nearly convinced him to tattoo his green eyes. No.....shouldn't be THAT bad. Oh how wrong he was.

William must've not realized he had zoned out, because Scarlett said, "Well? You coming or what?!"

"Oh right! Sorry....I'm coming!" William said, tingling with nerves. Where were they going to go? "Hey, could you at least give me a hint as to where we are going?" William asked, closing the door of the black jeep.

"Well, okay fine, it rhymes with fear....if you can figure that out!" Scarlett gave an airy laugh and started the jeep.

William thought for a long time, and only realized when they were halfway there. "Wait! Is it the pier?" Scarlett replied back with a simple, "Maybe!" William took this as a yes, and then leaned back with even more questions. Why the pier?
