Training ground

The sun set, with last of its rays dyeing the sky red. Soon it'll get dark. On the eve of dusk, Tridip remained motionless in his original position, without uttering a word and not executing any kind of movement at all. He is the sole witness of the whole incident that took place here, other then those involved. A look of shear terror was visible on his face.

'Fuuuuu…' exhaling a long breath he look around for anyone else that might be around. He didn't know how long he phelps his breath or if he was breathing at all. He didn't want to be unfortunate one like the fallen player in front of him. The gruesomeness and viciousness of the whole event thoroughly shook him to the core. Feeling nauseated, he vomited emptying all his stomach. But all that came out was yellow gastric juice and bits of apple. Feeling a little better he came out of his hiding place. He decided he had to get better in fighting and handling of guns, if not for killing others but at least to defend himself better. The current him won't even last a minute if he encountered either of the enemies he witnessed in the fight earlier. Be it in terms of tactics, aiming of guns or handling of other objects like grenade he was nowhere near good enough to survive till the last. He had already determined to escape this island one way or other. He didn't even have any other friend or companion to help him. He knew no one on this island. Neither can he trust anyone in his current situation. He can only depend on himself to survive. This event was a wake up call for him to realise that this place will become more horrific and vicious. Only those with skills and determination will survive.

He decided to bury the remains of the three people. He couldn't just ignore them, leaving them lying there on the ground. It seemed more inhuman then just killing them.

"May your soul find blissful, eternal rest through the mercy of god" offering a simple prayer he put soil over their bodies in the pit he made casually. He kept all the usable items leftover the battleground. After double crossing everything, he decided to look for an isolated location to train himself. He had to get better. Enemies will not show mercy, for all he knew the other enemies could as vicious as those who fought this afternoon. After checking his watch he saw there was more then 5 days remaining for the first zone to form, he had enough time. Thinking like this he left the site.

A whole day has passed, but finally he found a location suitable enough to serve as training ground. It was a quarry site. Even if he practices gun firing here no one will hear the sounds, as the sounds will be prevented by the high rocky edges of the quarry pit to travel further. Along the way he rested on two locations. An observatory of sort, with good view of the surroundings where he got around in the first half of night and spent the rest of night there. He encountered no other enemies up to there. The next morning with the first onset of sunrise he woke up. He Refilled fuel in the bike that he found just after leaving the fighting site yesterday, and decided to leave early on. His good luck is that he found few more apples in the observatory, and don't have to feel anxious about food for the next few days. For some reason, here he didn't feel that hungry and would be sated just after an apple or two. Same goes for thirst. He still had 5 cans of drinks and that'll do. After travelling for about three hours from the observatory he encountered people for the second time after landing on this island. It was a team of two. And as it was, they were players like him. Armed with all sorts of guns and pistols, with a car to boot. He decided to avoid them and took a roundabout way. The only thing he should focus on is getting better in survival skills and warfare. Travelling for a while more the road became nonexistent, and he had to ride through the middle of paddy field and grasslands. Sometimes he would hear firing sounds in the distance, but decided to ignore all that, avoiding those places as much as possible. With the guide from the map he found the query site after so long journey. Frankly the place was very gloomy, and most people would avoid such gloomy place, with dust and stones all around. But it would serve as a secret perfectly. Maybe the whole island is filled with weapons of destruction, as he found guns, ammo's and grenade even in this obscure location.

'It's perfect' he thought, as it would exhaust his supply of ammo if he were to practice firing. And these could served as reserved ammo. He found a location within the query site with least visibility from everywhere else, surrounded mostly by rocky cliffs and rusty containers. He made some rough targets for aiming with sacks filling them with sand. He also decided to practice his movement skills, to better react and response to unexpected situations. There was a small lookout point as well, which he repaired and made it usable to scout out time to time. After repairing the only cottage there, which might have been for the workers here, he had a place to take rest and sleep. By the time he finished all these, the sun has already set, and it was getting dark. He decided to sleep early tonight, as he hardly got any sleep the other night, Getting tense every half an hour or so. Now that he found a safe place he decided to get a peaceful and relaxing sleep, refreshing his mind, to proficiently proceed with his training.

As he laid on the cold hard ground, he felt how much comfort his bed had provided him. He realised that often this small things that we ignore and take for granted are the real object that makes our life easier to live with. We keeping fretting over nonsensical stuff, and avoid spending time with what matters the most. In this life of his, he have had many regrets. So many times he wanted to rewind time and redo the things he had done. Thinking all this he made his determination strong once again, 'To leave this place alive, and survive'. No matter what comes on his way. And he fell asleep. And day to hardcore training awaits him tomorrow...
