Place To Stay

I stand in front of one of the smaller inns called 'Goedkoop Kamers". It was two floors and even though it looked old it did not look broken. It was located in the far back of the West district and wouldn't be something I would usually sleep in but it looked like it was in my price range.

It took me a while to find one since all the inns near the center of the town look expensive as hell but this inn came into my sight right as the sun disappeared.

I opened the front door and was greeted by an area that looked like it belonged in a tavern. It was a bar in the far back and tables were scattered around in front of it. Two hallways were on the left and right side that probably led to the rooms. Stairs hugged the walls to my left and right and led to the upper floors of the hallways.

The inside of the inn looks a hundred times better than the outside. The wood looked new and had no discoloration and everything looked like it was newly polished. 'Hopefully the price for a room matches the outside and not the inside' I thought nervously.

I walked to the bar under the gazes of everyone in the room. The tenants sitting at the tables were looking at me with the usual looks of lust. I take a quick glance back at everybody and am surprised by the diversity. The inn was in the back of the west district where there was little activity and most of the buildings there looked abandoned and out of business.

I thought that this environment would be a nexus for the dregs of society. For thieves, thugs, and poor adventures but I guess I was wrong. While they were around they were the minority. Merchants and well equipped adventures made up the bunk of the occupants.

Everyone here has one thing in common though. They feel capable. While they are looking at me with lust, I can tell that it doesn't cloud their judgment. Their eyes aren't clouded when they look at me but they don't stare. I am sure I can kill almost everyone in the room easily but seeing so many strong people reminds me that humans are still a danger to me.

While every human may not be strong, they are numerous and tenacious. I make a note in my mind to be careful to try to not make enemies and watch my steps. I finish my walk to the bar and stand in front of the only person that makes me feel threatened so far in this entire village. A blond haired man with blue eyes that would be at home with nordic people in my past life.

His eyes have been on me since I came in and while there was a little lust in them, caution overpowered it by a fair amount. His muscles were taunt, prepared for attacking or defending, and I could almost taste the magic in the air that he was preparing to unleash.

'I wonder why he's so on guard.' I thought. I'm not letting any killing intent out and I know my magic is tightly concealed in my body. Things I learned to keep hidden so that monsters don't immediately run when I get anywhere near their vicinity.

I take a seat in one of the chairs in front of him and put my hands on the table to appear not threatening. 'No reason to start a fight here.' I thought.

I smile and say, "Room for one, handsome." I'm still surprised how comfortable I am with flirting with men but I write it off to accept my identity as a woman and me being succubus.

I see him glance at my hands and I thankfully feel the magic in the air lessen and see his body relax. He looks at me for a moment longer and responds, "One room is 2 silver coins a day."

I curse the man out in my head but keep my smile on the surface. I think about trying to seduce him for a lower price but I drop that idea when I think about how cautious he was when I first walked in here.

"This place is a little out of my price range." I say while standing up. "Guess I will have to find somewhere else to stay."

He looks like he's about to say something but he stops himself and grabs a glass to clean. As I walk out the door one of the men I pass reaches to grab my arm. I quickly grab his hand before he can touch me and look at him out of the corner of my eye. I make sure not to break his hand and wait for him to speak.

He was a bald man with a confident smirk on his face. "I heard you don't have a place to say." He says. The smell of alcohol pouring towards me out his mouth. "What about you staying in my room tonight?"

The implications don't fail to reach me and I take a moment to think about it. I am curious how it feels to have sex as a woman. But I also want my first time as one to be special. "Not interested" I let go of his hand and continued on my way. I hear his friends laughing at him but I pay little attention to it.

As I step out into the night, I think about how I'm going to pay for an inn. I really wanted to sleep in a bed but I didn't have enough money. I could go kill some thief or thug but killing somebody the same day I arrive doesn't seem like a smart idea. I stand out and I don't want people making the connection between me arriving and people dying.

"Guess I have to sleep in a tree." I think sadly and open my wings. I fly in the air towards the walls using light magic to bend light around me. I almost completely disappear in the night and hope no exceptional people in the village spot me.

As I fly over the gate that I arrived in I see a young man walking away from the walls and I think of a way of me sleeping in a warm bed tonight.

I land in one of the alleys and drop the light magic that concealed me. I walk out and call his name from behind him.

Jongeling stops and turns around. A blush appears on his face when he sees me and I'm reminded of his cute appearance when I first saw him. I paid little attention to him at the gate besides his cute actions but I now take a moment to study his appearance.

He stood close to 5'10 and still had a boyish look to him. He was slightly muscular but didn't look like he worked out a lot. His black hair and brown eyes went well with his light brown skin tone. Overall he was a cute boy that still had some growing up to do.

I walked up to him and was about to tell him I didn't have a place to stay but was interrupted before I could get anything out. "What are you doing out his late Ms." He had a stent look on his face that just made him look cuter.

I put on a sheepish face. "Unfortunately I couldn't find a place to stay. Wondering if you can help me out." I say while rubbing my arm. I think I'm nailing the 'Beautiful woman in need of help' look and judging by the face I'm right.

He looked concerned and immediately responded with a positive answer. "You can stay at my place." He says. He blushes even harder from his quick response but I show a bright smile to show him how relieved I was. The smile this time was my honest reaction because I was relieved to be sleeping in a bed.

"Lead the way cutie." I say while walking up next to him. He blushed and puts his head down and quickly walks forward. This young man's cute reactions aren't getting old.
