3 Mew discovers Pokeballs.

Mew happily bounced back and forth between the young children. They all gathered around those strange balls the old man had in his hands.

"Professor Oak, can I choose first."

"No me."

"I was here first!"

The children made so much noise that Mew distanced himself from the noisy crowd. It was a miracle that the old Oak guy could handle them.

"Now, one at a time, I have enough Pokémon for all of you." Professor Oak said as he let all the pokémon in the balls out.

"The Pokémon you can choose from are Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Choose wisely, children." Professor Oak said as mutiple Pokémon of the kinds he called out were let out of their balls.

While the children gathered around the Pokémon, Mew took a closer look at the balls they came from.

They were red and white with a small little button in the middle. Mew was quite curious as he tapped against the ball, making it roll around on the table. As he tapped it around and around, the ball unsurprisingly fell to the ground, attracting the attention of the assistants.

"Be careful not to drop the Pokeballs." The assistant said to the children that were closest to the table, assuming they had done it. The children seemed confused by the assistants remark as they had no idea what he was talking about, but still nodded.

Mew giggled as he thought it was very entertaining to make others take the fall. Still, he now knew what those round balls were. So they were Pokeballs. Then how did they work?

[I really want to see.]

As if professor Oak heard Mew speak, he began to show the children how the Pokéballs worked.

"Now then children, you've probably already seen how the Pokeball works, but I will show it to you anyway."

Professor Oak grabbed a small pokéball and pressed on the button. The Pokeball enlarged after which he let a Pidgey come out.

Following that he called it back, a red beam shooting out of the Pokeball and the Pokémon disappeared inside the Pokeball.

Like the sparkling eyes of the children, Mew's eyes too were sparkling in ignited interest. Though curious, Mew kept its hands of the button. He didn't want to be stuck in there listening to one of these kids.

Mew stuck around as all the children picked out the pokémon they wanted to travel with. Even the boy surrounded with all kinds of girls picked out his pokémon and left.

Mew had seen all the intersting things he wanted to see and was about to leave, when a loud voice was heard.

"Crap! I overslept! Please let there be a pokémon left!" It was heard loud and clear, yet the person who said is was still a long distance away from here.

Mew peeked outside and saw another child running this way, still in his pyjamas. It was a funny sight. The people who saw him couldn't help but snicker, while Mew too began to giggle. Deciding to help the boy at least a little, he teleported near him. When the boy stumbled on a pebble, Mew took his chance and teleported him straight in front of the lab.
