1 From Newborn To A Toddler.

(This little intro is for people who read my previous story lol. If you didn't read Rimuru it you can pretty much just skip)

— Prologue —

A man listening to music was casually strolling down the street with a big smile on his face. Life was looking up, he had just gotten his dream job as an engineer after many years of hard work at a great company. He had also saved up enough money to take a short vacation just before starting his new job.

Pulling out his phone he was about to call his girlfriend before he heard loud screeches on the street through the music. Turning around his mouth dropped open as he saw a gigantic semi-truck falling from the sky. Barreling directly in his direction his body couldn't help but freeze in shock.

Inside the truck, there was what appeared to be a group of children with unnatural appearances. All seemingly having the time of their lives until they spotted him.

And next, there was darkness.

"Do you think Ciel will get angry?" a young male voice spoke out loud.

"Mom definitely will get angry… But she doesn't have to know we snuck out again. I can fix this." A slightly monotone voice replied.

"Aster… give me a world…" The monotone voice said with a hint of nervousness.

"Pokemon?" Another voice replied.

"Fuck it, Pokemon it is. Not a word to Mom or Dad, they are busy playing with Project Lovecraft so they probably won't notice." The monotone voice said as energy began swirling around her.

– Chapter 1 –

'I guess I am a baby now?' I couldn't help but think as I was being held by a beautiful woman with blue hair.

To be honest the whole experience was quite baffling. The first few weeks had been mostly filled with anxiety and confusion, but now I was mainly filled with a sense of defeat and acceptance.

My mother was quietly and gently rocking back and forth in a chair trying to get me to sleep but if I was being honest it didn't really help. Whenever there was quiet there were strange sounds and images that would cloud his mind. Whispers from all directions, flashes of images of the world around him. If it wasn't for the strange yet familiar creature resting next to my mother I would have thought I was going crazy already.

A small grey cat with a tail that swirled into a spiral, a creature he recognized as the Pokemon Glameow.

'My best guess is that I am some sort of psychic if this really is the Pokemon world. But how the hell am I supposed to keep the freaking whispers at bay.' I grumbled to myself, letting out small babbling from my mouth which made my mother laugh.

'I am trapped in my stupid body for the next year or so. All thanks to the stupid baby neck that can't hold my head up and the baby legs that are just there for decoration until I grow some more. I have to figure out how to control my ability before I go crazy. Meditation is supposed to help with stuff like this right? Just breathe in and out.' I thought as I tried to follow the basic directions I had heard in the past.

The rhythmic breathing quickly led to my body falling asleep.

"Mama! Pipup me! Aba me! Peas ma!" I said as I pointed to different images in a magazine.

Talking was hard, but I was doing my best to communicate with what I had. I was barely a year old by this point and I was still unable to fully articulate my words. But hey I could at least get my point across.

My mother let out a joyful smile before picking me up from the ground and looking at the magazine.

"A Piplup and an Abra? Aren't you an ambitious one? But Lucas, you are too young. How about I get you some toys of them? That way you can practice raising a Pokemon." My mother said as she began to pat my back.

"Peas Ma! Aba me!" I said while trying my best to do puppy eyes.

My mother pretended to be deep in thought before saying.

"How about this? If you are a good kid I can call one of my old friends and see if I can get another Pokemon that can also be yours. I haven't worked as a coordinator for a while but I am sure Sophia will have a bunch of baby Pokemon running around her farm."

If I am being honest, being a baby kinda sucked. I was tired of doing nothing and wanted to at least have a person I could communicate better with. That's why I wanted to have a psychic Pokemon. Abra was at least the easiest one to pronounce and his evolutions were awesome.

Piplup on the other hand, I had a different attachment with. They were my very first Pokemon in my previous life, so I wanted to get one in this life too.

I had at the very least gotten a slight hold on the whispers and visions. It took many accidental naps to be able to clear my head while awake, but the silence was great. By this time I had realized that the whispers were mainly the faint thoughts of the people near me. Mostly unrecognizable but ever-present.

Training to move stuff with my mind was my only real pastime since I was basically at my mother's whim 24/7. Wherever she went I went. So far I had only experienced slight success as I was able to make some spoons tremble but I was just flying solo with figuring everything out. I could only wait until I was able to get my mother's trust to earn my own Pokemon even at my young age.

Apparently, a person was only supposed to get their first Pokemon when they became 15. However, there were a few ways to avoid this rule. The main way was to get a personal recommendation from a professor or to earn top grades in your school and show a proper aptitude to raise Pokemon. This would allow you to register your Pokemon a year early at 14, however, you would not be allowed to go on your journey until you turned 15. The age requirement was set many years ago after some children got a bit... let's just say lost.

Some parents got around this rule by registering the Pokemon in their name and just letting their child raise it until the registration could be passed onto them. Though it was heavily frowned upon unless the parents had a really good reputation.

For now, all I could really do is wait until I could register in a school and kick everyone's ass using my knowledge. I was sure that I could ace most of the classes that I would take, so I could speedrun my way to owning my own Pokemon in no time flat.

I let out a small mischievous giggle before getting scooped up by my mother ruining my inner monologue.

(Johanna Pov)

When I first found out I was pregnant I was horrified. One night of getting carried away and now my whole life had changed. I decided to retire from being a Pokemon coordinator, even though I had become quite famous I had to be able to raise the child that had come into my life.

Throughout the entire pregnancy, I had been filled with anxiety and worry, questioning whether I would be able to be a good mother. But all that fear disappeared after the first week.

According to all my friends, my child was a weird one, he always looked at the world around him with a sense of recognition that babies often didn't develop for at least one year. He appeared to be really smart, his eyes sparkling as he babbled as if trying to communicate with me and my Pokemon.

Funnily enough, both my Glameow and Umbreon looked at him with confusion as if they could vaguely understand his babbling.

The days soon to months, and then years. My little Lucas becoming cuter every single day, and also becoming more and more of a genius. He was almost three years old but he communicated so clearly that I couldn't help but become proud.

I believed that the main reason he seemed to have such a developed intellect was due to his psychic skills. When I first saw him moving a spoon with a strained face from a distance it had all clicked in. I had heard that all children that developed such skills became a bit quirky, so that explained it all.

He seemed to suck in knowledge like a sponge, and soon enough I knew I had to help feed his interests to make sure he thrived as he became an adult. I also knew of a school for psychics in the Kalos region led by a gym leader, but I felt that it was too soon to take such a big decision. I had heard that Olympia was both kind-hearted and strict with her students. So if I were to enroll him I knew I would only be able to see him on the weekends. And he was far too young to take such classes.

Even though he was quite mature it wouldn't be right of me to overwhelm him with so much stuff until he was a bit older. So for now we would stay in Sinnoh, and I could help him get better access to his interest in our hometown.

In fact, I had already scheduled a meeting with Professor Rowan. In just a few hours we would be heading to his lab for him to meet with Lucas. I knew this would be a good experience for him as he would be able to learn from Pokemon from an expert. Rowan seemed a bit hesitant but I knew once he met my son he would not be able to resist his Lillipup-like eyes.
