Struggles of Suresh (Part - 1)

Hello there, my name is Suresh. I am just an orphan among millions of people living here in Mumbai. I was abandoned maybe at the age of just 10 months to a year at the sea beach. Someone may have took pity or I was just a male hence they leaved me at the orphanage. I am actually thankful to them for doing such a thing, atleast I got a place to live and have food 3 times a day at least.

I was not much of a genius but was better then average and did have a good academic record in school but during higher studies our orphange didn't help much and I was uninformed that I could have gotten admission in many good schools and could have studied there for free due to being an orphan, but the life had other plans and I dropped out of school after 10th and I also get out of orphange due to its policies.

In the end I had to do the jobs people in my place would do, odd jobs like cleaning utensils at hotels for a day of meal and living space and few rupees. The life was miserable but still I persisted hoping that life would become good.

I always had facination with cars, fast cars. I thought if I would drive fast enough I could escape the life I was living in. During myfree time at the orphanage I would always watch car videos, about different cars, F1 and much more car content. I was just a car nut. This was vastly different from other kids who were crazy about cricket( a sport similar to baseball, popular in common wealth nations), due to this different than rest behaviour I was usually bullied and disturbed while watching car videos. I was so engrossed in the topic of cars I had knowledge of cars similar to a amature car mechanic. That was someting I was proud of and even I learnt how to drive a car.

Even during difficult times of childhood, the words 'Lights go out away we go' always brought a joy to me. The highlights were my adrenaline releasing moments, the cars just fighting with eachother to gain positions and maybe win the race. Theae were the moments which made me love F1 more, the speed, the determination, the engineering, the perseverance, the concentration, the drivers, the fans and the cruelty. The sport was just a masterpiece in my eyes.

Even when I was doing odd jobs, watching highlights were an integral part of me. They kept me sane, always kept me in the hope just like in F1 races the results may change in split second and an underdog can win, my life can also change in a moment the only thing I needed was a moment.

I never had a particular favourite team or driver in the grid, but if I had to choose the person I admire I would have choosen either Sebastian Vettel or Fernando Alonso. They were just beasts, they may not have the most powerful car but they still manage to produce most magical moments in the race through their sheer resilience. This is what I strive to be just be stubborn enough to change your fate and always take opportunity with both hands.

After 2 years of doing odd jobs just to meet life-ends, Lady Luck finally shined on me. As I was just wandering around as I had just completed my shift of work, I stumbled upon a couple stranded on the road with their car likely broken down. So seeing this I approached them and asked them about there condition, "Sir what happened to your car, it is pretty bad place to have a car breakdown sir".

The man looked at me and seeing nothing out of ordinary he said to me "I don't know what happened to my car, while I was going around with my wife the car suddenly broke down and now I am stuck here, also it seems there is no signal here". The area was nearly inside a jungle as it was a nature trail and it was a very quite area so I came here time to time to refresh myself, " Yeah this is a very remote area and this ia a nature trail hence no signal". After that I don't know what occurred to him but he asked me " Do you know how to fix the car. If you can fix the car I can can pay you for your service". This kinda caught me off gaurd as no one would ask a stranger whom someone just met to work for them, but who was I, I needed money as I didn't earn enough to live comfortably just enough to meet life's ends. So I agreed to fix his car. "Ok sir I have some idea on how to fix the car but don't get your hopes up sir".
