5 Chapter 5 - Greed and Paimon's questions.

While Alex was wiping out the forest, Paimon was explaining some things to him that he asked about the different continents Paimon mentioned and where she used to travel. There are 12 continents in this world and thousands of Islands while some are yet undiscovered.

Each country has different cultures and technology. Some countries are like in medical times, while some have advance techs that can control Mechas or Giant robots.

These countries also have their representative as heroes but there is only one Demon King. The reason why advanced teched countries won't conquer the medieval-like countries because the people there can control magic. On a brief basis, each country has its strength and weaknesses.

"So this Demon King you are saying. Why aren't these countries teaming up to defeat him?"

Asked Alex as he was curious why do these countries didn't work together and gang up this Demon King. Paimon pondered for a few seconds and replied.

"Hmmm... Paimon thinks that humans are greedy, they only want their achievements because as Paimon knows, the Demon King is hiding something amazing that humans and demi-humans don't want to share it."

The Demi-humans Paimon mentioned have their own countries. There are hundreds of races. While humans have their own countries, demi-humans are living together in different countries. Overall, there are 3 countries that humans are occupying, while the 9 are mostly for demi-humans with mixed races.

Alex didn't want to ask more questions because it will just get complicated. He realized he needs to take things slowly in learning about this world while getting stronger as fast as possible. Because of what Paimon mentioned, humans in this world are greedy.

But what Alex took an interest in is, each country have their heroes and maybe a few of them are women. This will help him improve his capabilities as heroes are certainly powerful. However, if they want to kill him, he doesn't have any choice and try to use his Shadow Monarch ability and make them part of his army. Nonetheless, he is confident that he can seduce those women heroes with his Incubus affinities.

"Paimon forgot to tell you about each country have a Labyrinth that heroes or adventurers will try to conquer each floor and get the rewards. Though, Paimon hasn't heard that someone reached the 100th floor till now."

"Labyrinth... Labyrinth..." Alex tried to tackle what Paimon told. "Labyrinth have monsters right? The higher the floor, the stronger the monsters?"

"Paimon doesn't know whether Paimon will praise your answer. But yes, the higher the floor, the stronger the monsters!"

Paimon was now very curious about his identity, still, even though she has a bubbly personality, Paimon respects privacy. So she didn't ask more and just watched Alex tearing a Demon Fang's head off with his bare hands.

For three hours, they only encountered Green Nagarcugas and Demon Fangs. Currently, Alex balanced his number of 30 for each of those creatures and still didn't reach the limit in how more he can add.

'Paimon thinks that Alex will become powerful fast...' Paimon that was floating just a few meters away from the fight though in her mind while her hands on her cheeks, watching how Alex killed a high graded beast easily in this world.

'Even the A rank adventurers will have a hard time killing one. How come Alex can kill them easily? Paimon wants to ask more questions but Paimon is afraid Alex might abandon her...'

Now their numbers increase by a hundred, Alex took 10 minutes to eliminate all of them alone, trying to limit test his strength while experimenting with something. The reason why he wants to fight alone is, to check if his minions can also gain the benefit in what he kills, and this fight was verifying it.

As part of his powers, Alex can perceive that his minions are getting stronger as well while two colors of red and violet vein-like colors blinking on the bodies of his Shadow Minions.

"Paimon, why haven't I seen other creatures but them?" Alex can't help but ask. It has been many hours since they started killing them but only the same creatures appeared. No small one's kike herbivores, and large ones than what he mostly encountered.

Paimon closed her eyes as she starts glowing in white. Using her wide-area search skill to check if there are other creatures inside this forest. Paimon was still unfamiliar with this place despite being adventurous because there were still thousands of islands unexplored and this was one of the Islands she didn't know.

"Paimon has scanned the area, there are having their territories. The Demon Fangs and Green Nagarcugas have maybe shared this area. Hmmm... but Paimon is sure there are strong creatures at the beachside, we should go there!"

Alex nodded his head and put all the dead creatures in his inventory. He was excited to add a new creature to his Arsenal. The Green Nagarcugas can surprisingly use rock attacks while the Demon Fangs can use wind attacks. The reason why they are unable to use these attacks against Alex is that they are killed right away by him.

While they continue to move towards the beach, Paimon has her mind wander again in how Alex was able to come to this Island without a ship! Paimon can fly, but swimming from somewhere to here can be impossible done, even the strongest heroes can't do it as there are large and ferocious sea monsters everywhere under the sea. Paimon can only shake her head because no matter what she tried to think for her answers, logic won't help.

"Paimon thinks this is the area... There they are!"

They stopped that moment Paimon spoke and Alex observed the area where she was pointing.

"Zinogres..."

Both Paimon and Alex muttered while looking at the quadrupedal monsters roaming on the sands of the beach. They have superficially lupine features. It has highly developed limbs, sharp fangs, and claws. Its forelegs are extremely powerful and can kill prey in one brutal blow.

Despite its hulking size, Zinogres are very agile to perform many impressive aerial and land-based maneuvers. The spikes on its body mostly lie flat, but when it has built up an electric charge they stick out vertically into the air.
