3 Chapter 3 - The Shadow Army

(First POV)

From what I remember, there is a command or a word to use my Shadow Monarch skill. Come forth? Obey my orders?

"Wait... Now I remember."

I looked at the dead creature and first removed all three arrows that I shot on its head. Why do I feel like this isn't my first time killing? Not that I mind. It just felt weird. It's like, I'm used to it in the first place. Now then, time to get you up, my first minion.

"Arise..."

I said with confidence, to prove that I killed it and I have the power to command him. Within a few seconds, black mist surrounded the corpse or swirled around until an entity slowly rising from its body.

"Wow. Amazing and it looks cool!" I am surprised at how it looks. Even though it said my minions will be shadows, I can still touch it and they aren't transparent. It's as if, they are elements that can be touched. Its also a hundred percent resembled the corpse but the black mist flowing all over its body and bluish glowing eyes showed how terrifying and awesome it looks.

Right now, it's lowering its head in front of me. Not matching its gaze to mine as if showing respect to a commander.

"Now... I will use its body and sell it." I thought and used inventory, just by touching it, it rapidly entered my inventory.

"Now then, let's try to look for more and give you some friends. Got it?" It nodded its head. Thankfully, it can understand what I am saying, or else it will be hard to instruct them.

Alex began again with his objective, for now, to hunt, raise his strength by absorbing the life essence of monster, and lastly, making more shadow armies that will help him.

The monster also killed by him not just improved his physical strength or overall statuses like his speed, endurance, or vitality. It also increased his Mana capacity in small amounts. But that was not an issue for him as everything he kills will give him benefits. Also, he wanted to see the limit of the shadow army he can control.

"Cover my back, I will take care of this six here!"

Up to now, he already has three shadows with the same species as the first one and what they are raising right now are winged wolf life creatures that have the same size as the Nagarcuga. They are also part of a wyvern family despite looking like a wolf.

Alex ordered his three Shadow Nagarcuga's to face three Demon Fangs while him facing six. He's trying to do a limit test for himself, he wasn't underestimating his enemies but decided to try new things.

"Now then, I'm done preparing," Alex said and used his three tails to hold three swords at the same time while using his bow and arrows as the primary weapon.

The Demon Fangs surrounded Alex, circling him while showing their fangs at him. While Alex prepared his bow to fire at whoever will attack him first.

"Behind..."

Alex shortly noticed one of the Demon Fangs leaped behind him. He turned his body and shot the arrow, as always, targeting its head. When the arrow hit successfully, the Demon Fang still didn't stop its charge so he ducked while raising his tails and slashed its wings at the same time.

"Uwooooooo!

The Demon Fang shrieked in pain as its wings were chopped. Its friends looked at their fallen member with blood gushing behind it's back. And as an opportunity to strike, Alex fired five more arrows, killing one Demon Fang that was distracted.

"Four Left... How are my minions doing."

Alex glanced at his Shadow Minions to check if they were doing okay. He wonders what will happen if some of them will fall, but as of now, they are doing well. Though, the scene was described as brutal because two Shadow Minions were ripping apart one Demon Fang in half.

The battle lasts about six minutes until all of the Demon Fangs we're killed. To where headless while two were cut in half. Meanwhile, the three that was facing his shadow army was... Hard to describe right now, and at the side of the corpses was his three Shadow Nagarcugas sitting like dogs, waiting for their master to praise them.

"You did well guys, but you overdid it." Not because it was to gore, it's because he wasn't sure if he can still sell those remains. Nevertheless, he decided to store it later in his inventory and didn't mind touching it.

"Arise, my new minions..." Ordered Alex as 9 of the shadows were now his minions. He also noticed that his three Shadow Nagarcugas have slightly changed. Violet color was appearing within their shadowy body like veins, making them appear more ferocious.

"Okay... You 9 look strong but they are still better than you guys." Alex said while using his thumb to point at the three Shadow Nagarcugas, the three raised their heads confidently as if they were regarded as strong."But I can tell if you work hard, you will be better than them." His statement made the 9 new minions howl. Encouraged by what Alex said.

"Now then let's continue to-- Wait! Who's there?!"

Alex was about to resume what he was doing but noticed someone was spying on him. He aimed his bow at a certain place because if that bush didn't move at the slightest, he might not notice who was following him. His minions are also prepared by moving their poison beside Alex with a predatory stance while looking at the bush, trying to protect their master.

"Don't! Paimon just wants to be your friend! Paimon followed you because Paimon saw you leaping around the trees! And Paimon noticed you are strong! Paimon can be your guide and companion!"

Alex suddenly heard a cute voice, trying to tell him not to shoot his arrow. She has a small body, giving her the look of a fairy. She has thick white hair cropped just above her shoulders, dark purple eyes, and fair skin.

She wears a long-sleeved white jumper and a night-blue cape flecked with stars, and white stockings with white boots. Rose-gold embroidery and shapes are attached to her jumper, boots, and sleeves.

"A... Fairy?"
