Chapter 2: Sven's Luck!

Jack was feeling a little bit annoyed right now, this young man who just entered his shop, Sven. Was a really annoying person, instead of coming here to shop, all he had did from until now was to curse.

He still have something to do later but because of the appearance of this young man, his plan may have changed for a bit. He needs to vent some of his irritation, because Jack may not appear like it but he is actually an easily person. It is just because of the training he had been doing before had made him able to control his emotions, though he still needed to vent it out for time after time.

Now, looking at the young man who has a red-face and was still cursing, Jack began to assess him secretly.

Earlier, Sven had mentioned that he is a Level 7 Novice ranked Warrior. And from the looks of it, he appears to be 18-19 years old, though this level of cultivation is not that high, it is not that low also, which means that he only had a slightly higher than average cultivation level.

In cultivation, there are countless path to take and the person just have to discover it on their own. But there are three most common path and these are the Warrior Path, Mage Path, and the Thief Path.

These three paths were the most oldest path in the world and was also the bases of all the other paths. It was not known who created this three paths but their existence had pushed humanity to a whole new era.

In the Warrior Path, a person cultivating in this path will have great versatility in using weapons and will be proficient in combat. But because of this versatility, warriors does not specialize in anything making them weaker against specialize paths. Though, that does not stop it from becoming a crucial path to take for every beginner cultivators.

At the Novice rank, it will be still very easy to change path, and thus, the Warrior Path is used as a way to find the suitable path for oneself. After that, they could just change to the path they are truly suited with.

The same could also be said to the Mage and Thief Path. These two are the same with the Warrior Path. They are also the bases of other paths the either focuses in a certain magic, or on one hit killing techniques.

The Mage Path will allow a person to be able to learn every magic elemental or null. The only requirement is that for someone to be able to learn anything at a fast pace. The talent needed to also learn magic is required as it is widely known that the Mage Path is the most difficult path to take.

The Assassin Path in the other hand revolves around the use of instant killing techniques, concealment and tricks. Though it is only second to the Mage Path in difficulty, it is one the path that requires the most training.

Sven said that he is a Warrior, which means that he is in the Warrior Path. But looking at him, there are no weapons in his person and he was only wearing expensive clothes. This is clearly a rookie's mistake as one of the most important law of a warrior is that, 'Never leave without your weapon. Your weapon is your life.'

But Jack did not bother anymore, since he had nothing to do with this youth in front of him.

"So... Are you buying or not?" Jack asked seeing that the youth was still cursing him.

"WHAT!? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! YOU WANT ME TO BUT THESE TRASH ITEMS?!" Sven was angered as he then yelled at Jack. In his anger, he grabbed a bottle of Energy Gathering Pill near him and slammed it on the floor.

BAM!

What he did not expect to happen was that, the bottle was very sturdy that a full force from him did not even leave a single scratch from it. But because of the rebound force, it ended up bouncing back to his head.

BANG!

"OW!" Sven dropped with his butt on the floor. His forehead that was hit by the bottle was red and there was a small lump on it.

Jack smiled coldly upon seeing this scene. This young man in front of him is very reckless and ill-tempered. Trying to break his bottles was akin to someone trying to break a diamond by slamming it on water.

"Dear customer, as you have already picked that Energy Gathering Pill, please pay 500 energy crystals. If not, then I have no choice but to use force." Jack smiled at Sven, but this smile was not something that gives one warmth.

Sven pointed at Jack, trying to say something but the chills he is receiving from Jack is making him shut his mouth. As arrogant as he may look, Sven is actually a very cowardly person. And because of this, he had develop a sixth sense in sensing the dangers around him.

And his senses right now is telling him to run away as fast as possible.

He had never felt like this, clearly, this seemingly simple looking shop owner is not as simple as he is. Offending him will only lead to his quick death, it is better to be obedient and just pay for the bottle, since he was already planning to buy something just to save his face.

From the looks of it, these pills are the cheapest product in this gold sucking shop.

Sven handed 500 inferior grade energy crystals to Jack, after that, he immediately walk out of the shop. Afraid that something might happen to him.

"Thank you for buying. Please come again." Jack smiled as he waved goodbye to Sven. He then turn to look at the small pouch of bag on his hand. Inside of it were 500 nail-sized green crystals.

"hmmm... It is already 2pm, I think that I should probably check the Nursery. The should have woken up by now." Jack said looking at the time. After that, he closed the shop and disappeared in a flash.

Sven can now be seen walking on the main street, following the flow of people, he arrived at the Noble District. Just a few couple of meters away from his current location will be the Silverfold Residence.

As he was walking, he was suddenly stopped by a group of young men. Blocking his way, Sven narrowed his eyebrows as he look at this fellows. When seeing their faces, his face immediately went red of rage while he gritted his teeth.

His looks was now completely different from what he had displayed to Jack from before. Because in front of him were the people who he hated the most.

In Ruspeia,the city is divided into three four districts: Noble District, Commercial District, Commoner District, and the Slums District.

The Slums District is where those people who had no where to go live. It is also the smallest district among the four and also the dirtiest and disorganized.

The Commoner District, a place for those normal workers who have a bit of salary to support themselves. It is much more cleaner than the Slums district with guard patrols roaming the area. It is the largest district among the four almost half the size of the city.

The Commercial District is the second most large district among the four. In this district is where the city's economic income comes from. Large buildings are neatly arranged here, this is also where Jack's shop is located.

And Lastly, the Noble District, the third largest district is where the nobles live. Entry is prohibited for those who aren't nobles or invited by nobles.

The nobles in the city are divided into different classes with First Class being the highest and Third Class being the lowest. Commoners are considered as Fourth Class nobles since they are earning money but since it leaves a very bad taste in the mouth to call commoners as nobles, they stayed to be called as commoners instead.

Sven and his family, Silverfold is considered as a Second Class noble family. This is already a really good class since they are in the middle. But because of his father remaining neutral and not joining any factions, they are always bullied by the other noble families.

Especially Sven, who is always bullied by the heirs from the other families. And the group of three young men in front of him are the said group.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here? The great young master of the Silverfold Family decided to go on a stroll but forgot to invite his good friends, us." The young man in the lead said mockingly. The others laughed while looking at Sven with contempt.

This young man had a blonde hair and blue eyes, the typical noble appearance of a slightly higher than the average looks.

Sven bit his lips hearing this. Although he knows that they are mocking him, he can't do a thing since the young man in the lead is the heir to the Lionheart Family.

It is the family that holds a great amount of authority in the city. Making them only second to the Lord of the city.

"What do you want now Elian?" Sven asked.

"Ohhh... You asking me that really hurts my feelings. Can't I just look for you without any other intentions?" Elian asked though even he himself laughed at his words.

"Elian, you should hear yourself. You sounded really weird. HAHAHA" A young man with a large build laughed at Elian's words. This young man was one of Elian's good friend, Luke.

"Yeah, yeah. Elian do sound weird sometimes that I even don't want to be near him." a bald young man said. He was Monski.

Sven did not listened to their nonsensical words. If he stays here any longer, then he might not know what will happen to him.

"Well then young master Elian, if you'd just excuse me." Sven said without waiting for Elian's answer as he just speed off to run.

Looking at Sven as he runs, Elian let out a creepy smile on his face. Monski and Luke who were looking at him from behind still had their joking expressions, not noticing the smile on Elian's face.

At an unknown location.

Jack entered a cave that can't be seen by others except him and the others stronger than him. It is because he had covered the cave with an illusion array that hides it.

Upon entering, what greeted him was the familiar view of the white pathway leading straight to an large space room. The walls were made of a strange metal that glows at the presence of heat, which makes it almost like an automated lighting.

Jack followed the white pathway arriving at the large room which was by the way, not that different from a small forest. He can see that the little guys he had left here to play were doing great based on the fact that he can see them running around happily.

When he heard this roar, Jack immediately went towards it's direction while keeping himself invisible so that he will not attract too much attention.

These beasts can be a bit too clingy at times.

Arriving at the place where the sound came from, he saw a little critter trying to climb a tree. The tree was high so the little critter fell and got stuck on one of it's branches hanging it upside down.

Seeing this scene, Jack can't help but smile as he approach the unsuspecting little critter.
