Lorenzo's Pov

"Are you sure?" I look away from the file at Lev who was standing at the corner smoking.

"Yes boss, that's the only thing that made sense," he says

"Why would he do that to his wife?" how sick was Romero

"She was having an affair with his second in command. He found out and planned on killing her but they escaped" Lev says

"What happened to his second in command?" Maya never talked about having a father figure in her life.

"He didn't make it, Romero found out and shot him that night but somehow her mother escaped"

So she might not even be his kid, for all we know she was the other man's child.

"Well, he found her years later and shot her dead" he broke the code. That's why Lev said that with disgust. We don't kill women or children, they have no part in this. But that doesn't mean they won't be used against you. I know she betrayed and cheated on him, she didn't need to lose her life and leave Maya motherless.
