40 You!

Casually walking down the train, Logan was licking an ice pop while carrying many others. He came to the table where the girls were all sitting with Hakim. He handed an ice pop to each person. Everybody began thanking him.

"Don't thank Logan," said Dani while she sucked on her favorite cherry ice pop, "He does this so you guys can listen".

"Is that true," Leira asked.

Before Logan could pass off his gesture as simply being nice, Dani lectured the girls to never fall for it because it is something boys say to get things from them.

"Noted," said Mina with a cheeky smile.

Jaivva instigated Dani's great teachings.

"Logan's just trying to win," said Hakim.

Vanessa smiled, "Ah, you should not worry because we will win".

Her eyes widened with a brilliant idea, "Buuut it will only work if we have more ice pops".

The heat from Logan's anger could've melted an ice pop when Vanessa popped hers from her mouth.

Hakim laughed, "Hey Logan! Did you hear Elon Musk is sending two guys to Mars"?

"Any aliens to fight up there? Or are you trying to bore me to death?" asked Logan.

"Ah, come on," said Hakim with his face stretched in excitement, "You seriously don't think that is cool? Like there are other things aside from The Isekai Game and Anime. And space discovery is a big thing. Like we will literally be living on Mars one day".

Logan answered, "I literally have everything in the Isekai Game Studio. I don't really care what Elon Musk is doing. He isn't God and he will not save the world. Besides, what's there to do on Mars. I rather literally jump from planes onto a ship that I can raid. Or battle a dragon for its treasure. All of that I get here. And once I hit pro, I will live it all until I finally die".

Everybody rolled their eyes. Jaivva began imagining taking a train into space or at least through the country. Vanessa agreed that she always wanted to go on a road trip through the countryside.

Dani looked out the window, "Why are we stopping on a bridge"?

Jaivva peaked outside the window, "No we're not. We are-".

A giant crash came to the back of the train. It shook the train forward. Anyone standing fell. Others felt a whiplash in their neck or spine. Mina cried under the table with her ferret.

A beast was chewing the train from the back. Dani got up to aim her gun down at it while Logan jumped to his feet.

The chewing got louder. A snake was eating away at the train. Its teeth were sharp like a gator.

Dani fired at the snake, but her bullets were useless. Its tongue lashed out to wrap her up.

Logan noticed everybody except Jaivva was occupied with something equally bizarre. Even Andres was laying on the ground.

"Jaivva!" he yelled, "It's an illusion! We need to break everybody free and kill the beast who is casting it"!

Jaivva nodded, but neither knew where the caster was. Logan threw a card onto the snake to dispel it. He froze when he saw Vanessa walking towards a girl in a black skirt and a red sweater with pitch-black hair. He knew that girl. It was his ghost. Sure enough, it was asking Vanessa to save her as well.

"Logan! Logan!" called Jaivva.

Snapping to his senses, Logan dispelled the girl and watched as Vanessa was taken by another. He gave Jaivva the order to split up. He remained on the train to protect their teammates. Jaivva with her rare ability of illusion resistance was tasked to go out and kill the caster.

Jaivva opened the door to a forest. The train must've stopped during the commotion. Nobody was near that she saw nor sensed. Everything was covered in snow. She took a moment to fully sense out the forest for an enemy who could have been casting the illusions. But the only thing she could find was a flock of birds.

Without any other lead, Jaivva gripped her double-bladed ninja sword and ran towards them.

Running through the darkened train, Logan dispelled the illusions in accordance with his teammates' screams. The illusions faded, returning the train to its normal state. Everybody was still laying down even though the train was moving.

"Who are you?" he asked, refusing to be fooled by the illusion.

All cargo doors slammed open as the train stretched to silence with no screams nor fixtures. Logan saw nothing more than his teammates laying on the ground. The lights flickered on.

Red smoke traveled towards the front. It thickened into a darkness that turned to hair. He could tell this illusion wasn't going to be dispelled so easily.

The hair rose, revealing the face of a lovely Indian woman. She began pulling herself out of the smoke.

Logan was already walking down towards her.

The wild hair parted in the center and tied into a bun. Her bare foot planted firmly with a red dress decorated in gold falling over. A gold ribbon across her chest failed to seduce Logan.

Logan's eyes were set to murder this illusion. She tried tricking him. Even promised to tell him the secret behind his ghost.

This angered him to slice at her with his dispel enchanted blade.

Each hit left her wound in smoke to reform moments later.

Her fingers morphed to blades as she swung at him.

Logan easily dodged and countered her attacks. She kneed his gut and kicked him away.

He jumped back to avoid a strike when the ground under him shifted.

While he stumbled, the lady shot her fingers like bullets at him.

Those bullets struck deep into him like stings to his lungs. He felt the pain and even more so a terror began taking over.

He dispelled the bullets to alleviate the serious pain. The lady was now walking towards him with her arms now morphed blades.

Logan had then whipped out a handful of cards and timed himself with the Lady in Red.

As soon as she stabbed at Logan on the ground, he jumped back and threw a handful of cards.

"Imprison!" he shouted to morph the cards into a giant prison around the woman.

He slammed his hands together, "Dispel"!

Red smoke came out of the prison. He could tell that illusion was gone. But nothing had changed.

On his knee, Logan watched as more red smoke appeared. He sighed hoping Jaivva could defeat the caster of this femme fatale.
