4 Our Fool

Later on a hill, Vanessa had helped Andres and Hakim create a signal for the rest of their teammates to find them. The three chit-chatted about life outside of the game. It was pretty convenient that Hakim and Andres' team were mostly seniors at American Senior High. The boys were peculiarly fascinated by Vanessa's Italian accent.

This area of the forest was pretty for the most. It was still a level one are after all. Despite of this, Hakim and Andres still kept a watchful eye of their surroundings.

Upon hearing some rattle noises in the bushes, Hakim stood up yelling, "Jeffrey"!

"Shut up loser," yelled a tiny voice.

"Dani, we found you a friend," said Andres.

Dani walked over to give Vanessa a hug saying, "I am sorry for everything they did to you".

"Okay," said Vanessa confusingly smiling.

Hakim pointed his thumb towards Vanessa saying in an elderly wizard voice, "This is Vanessa. A Joza Monk from the land of Italy who has come without further assistance to assist her elderly parents in their conquest of early retirement".

Vanessa waved both hands saying, "Hi. Also I forget to mention I soon start as a senior at American Senior High School as well in a couple of days. But I won't be able to play every weekend".

Jeff laughed and explained, "None of us actually plays that often except Andres and our team's fool".

"He is a fool," added Dani, "All he does is watch anime, skip school, eat ice pops, play this game, and twerk. But he sucks at twerking".

Vanessa was laughing as Jeff asked, "Where are we going from here"?

Hakim pointed over across the mountains where Jeff and Dani came from.

"Really?" sighed Jeff, "Maaan, at least you got us a new teammate. Ain't that right Vanessa"?

Vanessa smiled, nodding her head, leading Dani to look up saying, "Please don't be weird".

The team walked across the mountains which wasn't too far. Jeff had performed a "Reality Check" to add Vanessa to the team.

"So do we have a name," asked Vanessa.

"It's a stupid name," said Dani.

"The Wild Bunch" answered Hakim.

"Cool," nodded Vanessa.

But Dani corrected her in disgust saying, "No it's not. But whatever".

"Dani's been mad lately," laughed Andres.

"I'm not mad"!

After walking a little a bit, Andres halted the team.

"What's up," asked Jeff.

"We're about to enter level two," answered Hakim.

Jeff exhaled, "Alright everybody, get ready. We all know level two is where things start picking up and players are allowed to attack each other".

"Really," asked Vanessa, "Shouldn't we wait for your friend then"?

"We never wait for that clown. He's probably already in level three by now," answered Dani.

Vanessa looked around for a different answer, but nobody had anything to say.

The team ventured their last mile of level 1, heading down the mountain so they were no longer sky lined. Midway down, a giant ogre standing 8 feet tall leaped down, slamming his club.

Everybody jumped out of the way, but Andres was hit with full force to the ground. Vanessa had run up, punching the ogre in its jaw, but the ogre wasn't phased. Dani quickly shot the ogre in its knee caps while Jeff charged his rusty old laser cannon to fire it at the ogre.

The ogre withstood both Dani and Jeff's attacks and threw his club at Jeff, knocking him down. Andres had rushed over towards Dani yelling for Vanessa to do the same.

Just when Dani got 12 feet away from the ogre, Hakim yelled "landslide" and slammed his palms to the ground.

The ground the ogre was on begun to slide down to the bottom. Unfortunately, so did the rest of the mountain. The landslide Hakim had created caused a chain reaction of landslides that the Wild Bunch was now stuck in.

As they were falling, Hakim had spotted a cave. He quickly slammed his hands to the ground saying "earth stop" which caused the landslide to slow down tremendously.

"Quick there is a cave down there!" yelled Hakim pointing down the mountain.

The Wild Bunch picked up and raced down the mountain through the landslide. The ground began sliding down quicker as one by one each teammate made it inside of the cave with Andres being the last one.

Everybody was hunched over panting when Vanessa asked "how did it have such a power jump"?

Dani looked up with tears in her big brown eyes saying, "It be like that sometimes".

"Like literally just power jump out of nowhere," added Hakim.

The Wild Bunch caught their breath and designated Hakim to lead them through the cave while wielding fire in his hand. It took a while, but soon the team had reached an exit.

They stood towards the top of the mountain at the exit, looking out into the wilderness where they saw no signs of human life, nor water. But a beautiful forest stretching as far as the eye can see.

"Ight, so we know this place has ogres, zombies, and Logan. Nothing else" said Jeff.

Vanessa, was a little thrown off by the name "Logan" and asked who he was?

"He is our clown," said Dani.

The team began making jokes about their missing teammate while Vanessa was slowly recalling the name.

"Can you hear him?" asked Andres.

Jeff answered, "Yeah I can hear him. He's about to burn down the entire forest. He's running away from something".

"Should we help him?" asked Vanessa. The whole team shook their heads causing Vanessa to pout.

"Don't be sad for him" demanded Dani in a stern voice. The boys were laughing at her rant. Vanessa, however, only continued to stare out as smoke began rising from the forest.

"Fire!" called Logan as he ran through the forest wielding a tablet close to his bony chest and a short katana on his back.

He was running a warthog his size in circles within a ring of fire he slowly creating.

With his hands holding the artifact, Logan jumped into a tree away from the giant warthog. He sat with his legs wrapped around the tree branch as the angry warthog began bashing the tree in an attempt to knock him down.

Aiming his freehand at the warthog, he laughed, "Burn".

The warthog had caught on fire and ran away. Logan jumped down, playing his victory theme song, and performed his victory pose.

Logan ran to an area he believed to be safe. He crossed his legs on the ground to begin meditating.

"What?" he yelled.

After detecting how near his team was, Logan ran up the nearby mountain where everybody was standing outside a cave.

The rest of the Wild Bunch simply watched as Logan ran his way up the large mountain nonstop.

"Look what I found," said Logan as he held up the artifact high in the air.

"It was you," said Vanessa with a big smile, "You were the one who helped me last month".

"When," asked Logan with a dopey look on his face, "And why are y'all standing outside of an ogre walkway".
