With the leopards now scurrying, Jaivva had to admit she would look good in leopard print. She grabbed the second spear that she left on the ground and guided the cubs to a bush. Using a nearby rock and the rope she made earlier, she crafted a one-hit slingshot. And the bird in the tree was her target.

Its little red eyes watched her stalk it with the slingshot swinging in hand. Crafty as it was, as soon as the bird flew away it was struck dead by her slingshot. After grabbing the dead bird, Javvai yanked the feathers out. The cubs were grateful for letting them eat the carcass.
