[Duel]

I looked at Stella's right hand and saw that she was holding a sword. The handle was silver while the blade was blue that seemed to be made out of a crystal.

Kyle walked towards us.

<Hello Kashi, fancy meeting you here. Did you think about what we talked about the other day?> he said to me. I shook my head and looked at him with a daring stare.

He looked at me murderously after I said those words. I truly don't care about anything else than living. However he said something that truly pissed me off.

<Oh! Are you perhaps showing off to Stella? Let me tell you this, she's mine. With her abilities she'll be the perfect woman to bear my children.> he whispered to me.

I didn't care if I stood out anymore. I already showed that I can keep up with S-Ranks so what's the point for holding back?

I went to Stella and told her to tell everyone in my class that a duel is about to begin.

<Kyle, I challenge you to a duel!> I said to him. He nods with a grin on his face.

The stage was finally set as we walked in the arena after we finished preparing up. "Wait, why are there so many people?" came to my mind as I looked around.

<Hello everyone today we have an interesting duel to witness. Kyle Vermillion. As the Heir of one of the 3 great families, a lot of people expect a lot from Kyle, now will he meet those expectations?> said the lady announcer. Almost all of the people in the stadium cheered.

"Okay, what was that?". Everyone was silent. Well I kinda expected it since they really didn't know anything about me.

On the other side was Kyle who was just creating flames on his arms. As soon as the announcer said start Kyle dashed to me with incredible speed. He stopped right in front of me. He punched me. However, before his fist could hit my chest he stopped. Suddenly I was about to be hit by flames. As soon as the flames hit me it exploded. My part of the arena was covered in smoke. I then received a notification.

[Defeat opponent]

[Reward: 50exp]

[Health: 80/100]

"He's stronger than I thought.". Everyone cheered for Kyle.

<I've got something to say everyone!> He said as he went on his knees and pulled a small box out of his pocket. <Will you become my fiancee Stella Tachibana?>.

The smoke was starting to clear out. And as soon as he saw me he stood up and went on guard. But before he could charge at me I was already behind him. <How fast is this bastard?!> He shouted. He tried to punch me, but I dodged it by ducking down. Making sure I don't give him a deadly blow I punched him without my gauntlets and only using my raw strength. However as soon as I made contact with him my body was suddenly burning.

[Health will decrease by 25 per minute while effect is still on]

[Effect duration: 3 minutes]

Looking at this I knew that if I ever get some points I might as well put some on my defense. Even though the damage was 25 since my defense is 20 the damage is now only 5. Which means his overall damage must be 40. Realizing this I knew that I was in trouble. But then I used Inspect on him.

His defense wasn't as high as mine. I thought of a way to defeat him. By using my strength multiplier that can only multiply my strength for 2× for now. So that means I can deal about 40 damage. 30 if I subtract his defense. I dashed behind him. I punched him with my gauntlets as well as using my strength multiplier. And to my surprise as soon as I punched him he was sent flying for about 10 meters.

"Wait wasn't that a bit more powerful?" I then realized that my gauntlets also increased my strength.

"15?!? Isn't that a bit too much?!?"

Kyle was unconscious. The whole arena was quiet. I walked up to Kyle to check on him.

[Health:30/100]

[Status: unconscious]

Even though he was unconscious my body was still covered in flames. I took a look at my health.

[Health:70/100]

So I don't heal when I have a status ailment. For someone part of the 3 great families, I didn't expect him to be defeated by the likes of me. Or was he only holding back because he underestimated me? Well since he doesn't have a system like I do he can hold back. While I on the other hand can't.

I then received a notification. Upon receiving the notification I unconsciously put a grin on my face.

With just one duel I already grew this much. I wonder if each opponent has a different amount of exp they give. Since I already have a high intelligence I decided to put 2 stat points in strength.

I looked around and saw Stella coming straight at me. She gave me a big hug that I couldn't get out of.

<Thank you! He asked me to spar with him out of nowhere. I didn't know he was just about to propose to me.> she said to me while hugging me even more tightly.
