1 Waking Up in a Strange Place

"Ughhh..." Shen Tianxin wanted to prop her head but her hands couldn't move. Her head felt so heavy that it felt like it was crushed by a truck. Not only her head, even her body was in so much pain that she could heard a faint sound of bones cracking from her body. She wanted to move at least a part of her body but it seemed her body adamant not to move.

Shen Tianxin slowly opened her eyes. The light was too bright so she squinted her eyes. After a moment, she regained her vision and she look at her surrounding.

It was strange, totally strange for her. She felt that she woke up in a strange place which was true in a sense. A sense of creep invaded her but she tampered it down in instant. She couldn't get nervous or confused in this strange place.

The room was almost all white, the only exception was the cream colored curtain, the bed she laid on as well as brown frames of windows and door. The juxtaposition among the colors were too extreme to her liking but it was actually not that disturbing. It was quiet spacious, probably it could loaded five king sized beds.

Shen Tianxin could only moved her eyes. She was thirsty and wanted to take the bottle of mineral water on the desk beside her bed, but she could get the response of her body no matter how much she wanted to move.

As she was about to give up, some people entered the room. There were two men and three women. One of the men was middle aged man while the other one looked younger than the others. On the other hand, the women were probably peers of the same age. They were all wearing a costume that was alike with the doctor gown she knew. 'They are probably doctors.' Shen Tianxin thought.

On their chests, their ID Cards were hanging, revealing their identity. Shen Tianxin memorized all the names of the doctors, trying to ease herself.

Shen Tianxin wanted to speak but her throat was dry. She gathered her will power until she finally could squeeze her words out from the throat. "w...wa...water." She eyes-sided the bottle, beckoning the doctors to help her.

One of the doctors went forward. He looked younger than the other doctors. He uncapped the bottle, put the plastic straw in it and placed it near her mouth.

Shen Tianxin was almost unable to drink the water. Only after some tries she could finally drink it. 'What a heaven...' She sighed in relief after she drank it.

Shen Tianxin thirst was already quenched. It was now she intently looked at the doctors. She was puzzled why there are so many doctors in her room until the middle aged doctor spoke. "How are you feeling? If you feel good, you can blink your eyes twice, if not, there is no need for you to blink."

Soon after she heard the doctor's sentence, she almost spat every curses she knew. How should she feel good when she couldn't even move her body? What worse was the fact that her body seemed to break soon whenever she tried to move. But still, she replied the doctor as she knew no one. It was better to find allies in unknown land than to find enemies right?. She didn't blink her eyes.

The doctors looked at each other before one of the women doctors moved forward and said, "We'll check you first."

After checking her body and health indicators, all the doctors were puzzled, because she recovered faster than they thought - no, she recovered faster than human in common. When they treated her three months ago, they expected that she would need years for recovery and on top of that, she would be disable. But the reality was different from their logic - it was just three months but her body had already healed halfway. Not only that, the limbs they thought would be disabled almost healed and returned in its original shape. This was their first time seeing the patient recuperated in an amazing speed, to the point defying the heaven. Her physical constitution would definitely create an uproar if they let the outside world knew - that was what all the doctors thought.

The middle aged doctor was the wisest. He knew what the other doctor thought so he sternly reminded them. "Do not let this information out. If not, that man will go berserker."

When the doctors heard the words 'that man', they were all pale. Their face was twisted that Shen Tianxin could feel they were afraid of the man. Who is the man? She thought about this question but decisively put it into the corner of her mind because her current condition was much more important.

"Yes head." The doctors replied simultaneously.

The middle aged man who was called as head nodded. Then he said to Shen Tianxin as he put a remote control in her hand. "We'll go. If you need anything, you can press the red botton. You can do it right?"

Shen Tianxin blinked her eyes twice. Although her body was currently unable to move at her will, her fingers could still accommodate her will.

The doctors went out and the room returned to its initial silent. The fear and anxiety she surpressed slowly rose and terrified her. As she was about to be completely defeated by her fear, she heard a childish voice called her. "Boss...!"

Shen Tianxin closed her eyes and went to her mindspace. There was a three years old boy wearing red bib and was waving his lotus root-like hands to her.

Shen Tianxin's fear instantly washed away the moment she saw the boy. She ran and hug him as her tears fell down. "Boba...I think i'm here all alone."

Boba patted her head as he softly said. "That's fine boss. I'm here and i'll always be with you."

"En. Always be with me." Shen Tianxin cried until Boba was pissed of by her cry. He would knock her head if he didn't consider her condition.
