We'll See Just How They'll Handle Us

The people around are all surprised by the sudden arrival of this teen. There were those that are part of the refugees that are watching not too far away from Nanako and Yasumi that had long noticed Haruhiro and Anna come out of the gate. However, they still weren't able to see how he moved so fast without any of them noticing.

The man who tried to take advantage of Yasumi continued to struggle against Haruhiro. He looked at the teen in front of him and discovered that he's not even looking at him. This got the man frustrated even more and tried to give Haruhiro a punch with his free arm but before he could, he saw the dark surround him. Haruhiro used his shadow to swallow that person whole. He then said in an extremely cold voice.

"Those who disrespect me or anyone I care about will soon follow him."

Those who saw how the shadow swallowed the man whole were frightened. None of them expected that there was such a monster living in this place. A lot of these people started to ride back their cars or just directly run away but Haruhiro appeared once again, he blocked the only path they could take. Some were so afraid however that they diverged from that said path and decided to risk it by entering the woods.

Haruhiro didn't care about those that tried to escape using the forest. He focused his attention on those left behind. Haruhiro swept his gaze on these people and saw how afraid they were of him. He then made his shadows devour those that were talking to Nanako and Yasumi just now. His shadows made their way to those people and swallowed them without any problem.

"Those still left, you can come inside. However, once you do -you will follow our rules and you will follow my orders. There will be no exceptions."

He then recalled his shadows and looked over at the base camp. He can see light being emitted, the barrier surrounding the base camp slowly disappeared. Haruhiro only noticed it this morning but it seems that the barrier isn't actually a permanent thing and could only last for some time. It just so happened that that time is now.

The people that stayed naturally saw this and are all surprised in their hearts. 'Who are these people? How come they have such a powerful monster and a futuristic base!?' Is what all of them are thinking. Even those from Haruhiro's group that were accompanying Nanako and Yasumi are shocked to see this sight. They knew that it was because of Haruhiro that they're safe from the zombies and they also knew that the base camp is related to him however seeing the barrier disappear like this, they can't help but feel awed.

"Well then everyone, move in."

Anna's voice could then be heard by everyone. The people all came back from their dazed states, Anna immediately took this as a sign for her to take action. She ordered the people inside of the wall to come out and gave them her orders.

There's a lot of those that stayed that wanted to voice out their opinions and complain but they can only keep it in. Some hesitated whether to go inside or not but then they thought of the zombies and how they might die from having their flesh eaten. They followed Anna's instruction.

Yasumi and Nanako on the other hand after their senses returned quickly run straight for Haruhiro. The two dove into his embrace without a care for the others. Haruhiro smiled seeing them like this, he gave the two a kiss on their foreheads and said, "Sorry for making you both worry. I'm fine now." He stroked their hair gently with a smile on his face. The people around them noticed how such two beautiful girls dove into the embrace of one man but didn't dare to make any sound. They're too afraid to attract the attention of such a monster.

However, there are those that felt quite curious about their situation and there are those that felt envy. The male felt jealous that Haruhiro could embrace such beautiful women while the females felt jealous for the two since someone could protect them.

"Haru-chan, are you really alright now?"

"Haruhiro-san I've been so worried!"

The said at the same time. They looked at him both filled with worry on their eyes.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. Let's all go inside, we've got a lot of things to talk about. Nanako, that ability you got -you have to show it to me. Ya-chan I'll go and greet your parents."

The three did exactly that. They left Anna and some of their people to handle these people that are going to join them and went to where Yasumi's family is staying. Haruhiro could feel at ease knowing that Anna will be the one to handle that matter since she's good at it. Also, he wouldn't need to worry about her safety after showing those people what he's capable of.

Haruhiro met Yasumi's family. Her parents are around their fifty's. Both her parents seemed concerned as to what kind of person their daughter fell in love with. They were only told how he is the leader of this camp, they imagined that the leader must be someone older than their daughter. The two felt anxious because of this, what if that person is even older than they are? Is he even treating their daughter alright? Various thoughts appeared on their minds that they felt too anxious to even think about the chaos happening around the world.

Unlike them, however, Yasumi's little sister is handling all these matters better than their parents. It's unknown whether its because she's still only a twelve-year-old kid or that she's just naturally calmer but it is evident that this little girl is enjoying her time in the base camp. In this place, she could see her sister, play around with her, and even have the food that she asks for. She could even play with other children that her sister says is from the orphanage.

Haruhiro arrived at the place where Yasumi's family is staying at, Yasumi dragged Haruhiro straight inside while Nanako followed behind them. He saw her parents, greeted them, talked a bit and left. Haruhiro only wanted to show his face today since he still has a lot of things that are in need to be done. His meeting with them was pleasant and he knows that them being able to see who he really is helped ease some of their worries. However, a new worry grew in their minds since her parents learned that aside from Yasumi, Haruhiro seems to have other women as well. Seeing that Yasumi is still willing despite knowing this fact, they no longer have anything to say.

Haruhiro wasn't able to see her little sister however since the little girl has been playing the whole afternoon outside with the other children. He didn't think much of it though and went ahead with his second task which is to observe Nanako's ability. By this time Anna has finished her task and joined their group.

They went to an empty area outside the camp so that people would not flock around them as they test her ability.

"Alright then Nanako, try hitting the targets."

Haruhiro set the bottles that are serving as her targets at different distances. That way he could see how far her flames could reach. At first, Nanako failed to summon her flames but she later got the hang of it. Then the problem became her aim, she either missed the targets within an inch or she was hitting something else. Haruhiro could see that she was anxious but still didn't stop her, he only patted her head and said to her in an extremely gentle voice.

"It's okay Nanako, you'll get the hang of it. Don't worry too much. Just keep practicing."

He then sat down under a tree and beckoned for the two other girls to come.

They then continued to watch her aim for the bottles, as they watch Yasumi sat on Haruhiro's lap while Anna stayed silently beside him. He could feel her soft bottom rubbing against his thigh but all he could do for now is embrace her petite waist since Anna is by his side. Haruhiro wouldn't want this little wife of his to get mad at him.

They stayed like that for a few minutes before Anna asked, "Haru is it alright to let those people leave just like that? They might bring trouble for us."

"I'm actually expecting for that to happen."

"You are? Why?"

"It's been three days since society collapsed. I'm sure that there are people out there that have formed groups just like we did. Once they bring trouble to us, we'll see just how they'll handle us."

"You mean to say..."

Haruhiro looked at Anna who understands his intentions and smiled.

"Yeah."

"I see but that way you're going to be busy. If only I could help you fight."

"That's right Haruhiro-san. If only I have a better ability other than this troublesome ability that only attracts unwanted attention, maybe I could have helped you earlier."

Yasumi is a simple-minded girl on top of that she has lived a life that's been filled with countless dangers. She grew up afraid of men who would try and force her to do things she hates, she knows that society has collapsed and that there is no longer a law that would protect them. Not that the law has ever helped her, she knows that only those with proper strength has the right to live. Now that chaos has descended on their way of lives its only natural for her to adapt to it and adjust her way of thinking about killing other people.

Anna however still has a long way to go. Just thinking about killing someone already has her wanting to vomit.

He smiled at these two adorable wives of his and couldn't help himself from giving them a kiss on their cheeks.

"Don't worry about that...," saying that Haruhiro opened his System.
