Goddess Terra Temple

When they opened their eyes, bright light entered their eyes. Surrounding them are still trees standing proudly beside them and the grass under their feet. In front of them is an entrance to a dark cave under a tall mountain. Haruhiro and Nanako looked at the sky, only to discover that it had turned blue.

"What's going on Haru-chan? How come it's suddenly daytime?"

Nanako found it quite strange before they entered that weird door that emitted an overbearing amount of aura it was clearly dark.

"Hmm? Well if you think about it, it's quite normal, right? This is a subspace, it has a time of its own and a space of its own. This place doesn't necessarily have the same rules like outside." Haruhiro explained to Nanako as he looked around. This is the answer he got from asking Ava, he too was a little bit confused as to why it turned into daytime.

However, after Ava's explanation, he was reminded that this really is a different place with a different time.

"I see? Then what do we do?"

Nanako heaved a sigh of relief realizing that they didn't at a strange place. She then started to look around curiously, however, she soon found out that aside from that cave entrance and the mountain in front of them nothing is out of the ordinary. It was like they didn't enter that door.

"We should check around the area first before entering that cave."

"Nn."

Haruhiro turned around to leave, entering the cave right then without proper information is not something he should do. He took out one of his throwing knives and gave it to Nanako. The throwing knives are all sleek in design. The body is painted in black while the edge of the knives is in dark blue color.

Nanako received it but she looked at him weirdly. Her eyes as if asking he didn't forget about her ability.

"I know that you have a very destructive ability. However, it's not good to always rely on it. I've learned my lesson from that battle, we shouldn't rely on just our abilities. Because one time if ever your ability doesn't work we can only rely on ourselves."

Listening to his words, she found it reasonable. She nodded and tightly gripped the handle of the knife.

"I'll remember your words Haru-chan."

They then investigated the surroundings, however, they saw not one creature or person in the vicinity. Instead, they discovered something else.

"This is... A barrier?"

They've traveled for less than a mile but a transparent wall seems to have blocked them. The first thing that he thought of is the barrier that surrounded his camp back then. This one seems to be the same thing or at least the same type.

"Why is there a barrier here Haru-chan? What do we do?"

He thought about it and guessed that this wasn't something that's preventing them to go in but rather go out.

"Let's go back," he said to Nanako.

"Haru-chan? We won't go to the dungeon?"

Haruhiro smiled, grabbed a rock nearby and threw it into the sky. Once the rock reached a certain height, it hit something invisible in the sky. Nanako was shocked, now she also understood that this barrier is keeping them from going out.

"Then, is this place the dungeon?"

He shook his head and said, "The cave earlier. That was the dungeon entrance Nanako."

Nanako nodded her head and said, "I see." They then walked back to the cave. The two arrived there fast.

"Nanako, I didn't notice it before but look at the entrance of the cave."

Haruhiro pointed at the side of the cave's entrance. There, the two could see vines covering some sort of writing. Haruhiro removed the vines and saw that this was actually a stone tablet and on it are texts for them to read, he started to read the text.

- The place where the legendary hero lived before ascending as the country's prince. Here he lived with his adopted sister, the Moonlit Knight for years. However, this life ended when they were attacked by monsters. In order to protect the only then child prince, the Moonlit Knight sacrificed herself to give the prince time to escape.

In remembrance of the Moonlit Knight, the prince turned their small cave into a temple for the goddess Terra and claimed the Moonlit Knight as one of hers.]]

Haruhiro nodded secretly in his heart as he thought to himself, 'This is good. A dungeon even has a setting like this.' However, he then asked himself why will this temple turn into a dungeon?

He decided to look for the answer himself. Haruhiro nodded at Nanako before going straight into the cave. Haruhiro is now holding his ZiP pistol on one hand while the other carries a throwing knife. Haruhiro's plan is to first use his weapons before using his ability. His shadows will be his trump card from now on.

After entering, faint blue lights were emitted by the walls. The two could see that embedded on the walls are stones that are emitting these faint blue lights. He was a little worried about what to do for the light but it seems that it was a needless worry.

They continued to walk forwards but not too much time has passed Haruhiro and Nanako could hear footsteps heading for their direction. Nanako is a little anxious, this could possibly be her first battle.

Before she hasn't even argued that much with others, much less fight in combat. However, she knows that being anxious about this is useless. She gripped the handle of the knife tighter as she started to focus her mind. This is in order for her to be able to summon her flames in a moment's notice.

Haruhiro, on the other hand, has raised his gun. This footstep is rather weird for him, he could hear the clanking of metal against the ground. He thought of the possibilities this could entail but nothing comes to mind.

"Ready Nanako?" She nodded.

Then, the faint blue light revealed who this person is. A person wearing an armor, holding both a shield and a sword in each hand. This person's armor, however, is in tatters. Some parts are even dented or are missing and when he looked at the person's face, Haruhiro frowned while Nanako grew even more anxious.

"Undead? Here?"

"Haru-chan, do we kill it now?"

Haruhiro shook his head, he first wants to test the waters. He threw the throwing knife directly at the undead's head. The knife pierced the head directly, and the undead like a puppet that has its strings cut -fell down.

When it did, an announcement is given to Haruhiro by the System.
