2 From Blank To Dotted

Innocence used to be known when we were children before we put a step on age and grow up without feeling the time. It was the best and worst of all times, it was different from a child to the other. We didn't know so many things, we cried over our spilled ice cream, we fought because of our toys. We loved our friends endlessly, it was a pure love that we never thought it will develop differently from what we thought it will.

As everyone thinks of love as a beautiful iconic thing to feel and desire, it's also something beyond us, the one thing after "death" that we can't control. It comes as innocence, devilish, hate and so many other hard and soft feelings inside a person's brain. It's all about destiny, and sometimes it's about luck, other times it's about the idea we made of the thing called love.

Is it a thing? Do we really feel? Or it's our brain that makes us think that love exists. If yes, then we can make up our brain and forget about the painful love. Based on Antoon Vandevelde words about love, and I quote "Love starts from the knowledge that we are imperfect".

What will or could happen next is an extraordinary question that scares people. The story is about young friends who just started a new chapter in their lives, that one period of time when people jump from dreaming to fighting for those dreams. Sometimes they deal with things that are much bigger than them. They are all from Pervelli, a small town that represents itself as any other town in the world, compact, boring, innocent, never knew crime. Yet, the way of life in the town will know a difference in its lifestyle, changing from dealing with ordinary problems to some bigger mess.

The Forbes are the image of perfection in town, Griselda Forbes is the ideal girl next door. Yet, there is always some evil in innocence, it's the balance of life. Jonathan Melton, the popular kid in school has only two goals in life, following his father's steps and getting his dream girl, anything else would be just a blessing. Angelica Gibson on the other hand is the lost one amongst them, who doesn't have a problem with the anxiety of the future. Angelica is the kind of person who lives the moment and leaves the rest for later, but her big hope is to stick with her friends maybe forever. Three dreamy friends that are guided by their goals and dreams.

Jonathan and Griselda have something more special than just a friendship, but they are both lost in a denial vortex. He was satisfied with everything as long as she's nearby, he accepted the little attention she gave him with in hope that she will sometimes feel the same and do the honors. Fear and dignity always take the highway, never the person's way. Despite Griselda's perfect outside look, there is a cold stoned face that no one can read what it feels or thinks. However, no one is born tough or broken, there are grenaded secrets that wait for the perfect timing to explode.

One day, the three friends experienced a different situation, and that moment is considered as a turning point in their lives besides their graduation day. As a farewell to the old school and the town, Griselda was happily saying her last goodbyes before the summer begins. Jonathan looking from far away feeling all angry and jealous, not enjoying what he's looking at. When she sat next to him and Angelica, he angrily yelled at her for ditching them. Fortunately, Griselda is not that kind of person that can easily let it go, on their way home she kept asking him the reason behind his weird reaction. This time she decided to break the ice and understand why he's always acting as he owns her, and that's the most thing Griselda doesn't admire.

· GRISELDA: what was that? You've never yelled at me that way. No, wait, changing the question, why would you even yell at me? Plus in front of the whole school.

· JONATHAN: Forget it okay. I am sorry, I don't know what happened back there! I didn't mean to make a scene. But to be honest you are like a hugging machine.

· GRISELDA (confused): A what? Is this about hugging Jason? He's our friend and he's going to study abroad, maybe we'll not see him until five years from now, plus where is the problem?

· JONATHAN: Since when do you care about Jason and not seeing him?

· GRISELDA: Jonathan, get a grip on yourself. You are not allowed to tell me what to do and you are not in a position where you should feel upset or angry about that and ...

· JONATHAN: wait a second, before you say anything I need to justify my situation and my reaction. I know I crossed the limits and acted disrespectfully but this should end now.

· GRISELDA: No, I just want to ...

· JONATHAN: Please just let me finish before you can judge me with anything. I can't hide this anymore. Grise I'm sorry and I don't care anymore about what will happen to us but I can't hold it anymore. I was and I still am in love with you, you may think that this is weird but it's been so long since my feelings for you started to grow differently. That's the reason why I got so angry and I always feel upset whenever I see you with another guy, I always loved you. I couldn't tell you because I was afraid that you will not accept my love, and our friendship will just be banished and destroyed as it has never happened. So, I preferred to hide my big love for you to not lose you. But that's it, I rather lose you like that or lose you for someone else without getting it out of my chest.

While he was talking, Griselda was surprised by the words coming out from him, she didn't know how to react. She was trying to hold back her tears, but they flocked eventually. Jonathan was confused and thinking that this awkward situation is going to affect their relationship. Luckily, Griselda hugged him before he could faint in front of them, his cheeks turned red and he hardly swallowed.

· GRISELDA: Are you crazy? How can I not love a person like you? How can I even refuse an adorable person like you? Believe me, I thought I'm going to die someday because of my abandoned love. I've always loved you since forever. I too was feeling upset and in unease whenever I see you flirting with another girl or hanging out with another girl.

· ANGELICA: I'm a girl.

Ignoring Angelica that was next to them for so long but non-of them gave her any attention because of their intense moment. Griselda's voice was shaking because she still couldn't believe that this is finally happening, she's talking and crying at the same time and he's just looking at her amazingly with sparkles in his eyes.

· GRISELDA: I'm really so thankful because you finally said it and more importantly because you said it first. I've always wanted to tell you too but I couldn't because of the same reason as yours.

· ANGELICA: Hello, earth to love birds. I need to bring popcorn, this scene is getting more exciting. Just for your information, I am standing just right here. But to be honest I've aged to hear this conversation. Finally.

· JONATHAN: You knew all along and didn't tell me?

· ANGELICA: I was wondering when you'll both confess, it took you centuries. Everyone in Pervelli knows that you love each other, except for you two.

The two lovers started their day as best friends and finished it as a couple. Finally, they have confessed and started to show their love in public, they happily kiss and hug differently from before with a lovely beautiful, and shiny smile on their faces. Love is beautiful, to be able to love is a blessing, however, not every love story has a happy ending, only thirty percent of them do. Our couple might be one of the thirty percent or one of the seventy percent, which are the unlucky love stories that one of the couple is unfaithful, or if they are both faithful, life makes their story tragic. Love is a battlefield after all, win it.

However, Jonathan is a hopeful person, besides his goals only three things in life that matter for him, family, dream, and love. He is good to his parents, he has two younger siblings a brother and a sister. He graduated high school and dreamed to go to a medical school abroad, but his father always wanted him to literally follow his steps and go to the same University he studied in.

He always has that one dream since his childhood to be a doctor, when boys of his age were playing with guns and stuff, he was playing with doctor toys. So, his dream kept growing bigger and bigger, but things don't always go as we please. Jonathan studied for two years in a medical school, he is a straight-A student. Every time when he got high grades that make his dream closer, he goes out with Griselda to celebrate the good news.

However, since Jonathan is always getting first place, his dream medical school in the UK offered him a full scholarship. The news was both happy and sad. His dream will completely be achieved as for how he dreamed of it, but, he will need to farewell his love and best friend.
