1 Ch 1:The Beginning

The video had started. The girl recording started talking.

"May 21, 2413. No one thought this would happen to Test-Subject 8. Some sort of mutation formed on his skin from the injection. At his will, he can go from looking normal, to looking... " She tried to find the right words to say, "like a pale green... zombie, almost. We don't know what happened. We think that the antidote may come from-"

"What are you doing?" A boy asked, running into view.

"Making a video so people know what happened." The girl turned to look at the boy.

"No, Test-Subject 8 is a lost cause. We need to leave. Now, Bailey." He grabbed her wrist.

"Brian, let me finish!-Hey!-Stop it!" She yelled at him as he pulled her away from her desk. "There isn't enough time! The disease can only be spread to someone who has been cut on the stomach and a drop of blood from some one infected put into the wound. The antidote-" The girl yelled as the boydragged her away, until the last of her sentence was cut off.

The boy and girl had gotten out of the building by the time Test-Subject 8 broke free and ran out of the room. The infection had begun.

The video ended. Zach had been studying the video for weeks. It had been obvious that Bailey was the girl, Brian the boy, and that they had both worked for Fac X. But the problem was, he didn't know what the antidote was. He could stop the infection from spreading, but how?

He had to find Bailey, if she wasn't already infected. He hoped she wasn't. If she was, there would be no way to stop the infection. His eyes grew heavy, and he fell asleep on his bed. Tomorrow, he would look for Bailey.
