19 CHAPTER 18

I really hope he is right about this, our bill was brought by a different waiter, and my stomach began churning. Alex must be mad at me. We ate the rest of our breakfast in silence as I pondered on the fact that Alex might be..... furious? Jealous?. Maybe he didn't even see and is busy. I mean, it is not like we're together. Chase gave me his half of the bill since he wouldn't let me pay the bill, so we settled for a spilt. I walked over to the cashier as he went on ahead to start the car and pick me at the entrance.

After I paid, I turned to walk away, but my arm was gently grabbed by a masculine hand, and I turned around to those caramel eyes. " Did I forget to pay for something " he chuckled, letting my hand go and using it to rub the back of his neck. Did he look anxious?

"u....uhm, no, well, I uh.... I wanted to ask you something" he is so adorable right now. " I uh,,,was that guy um,your uh-" I held my finger to his lips to shut him up. They felt so soft and moist against the bare skin of my finger. "No Alex,he is not, I don't have one,he somehow kissed me to see if it would affect you" I chuckled cause that wasn't the right way to go about whether he is or isn't attracted to me. "Well I am actually, I'd like to get to know you if you don't mind." I smiled, completely taken by his appearance "that would be fantastic." " Here," he took out a paper scribbling something. "You can contact me anytime" I took the piece of paper and put it in my pocket. "I definitely will" I turned and walked out of the café towards Chase's car. Before I could open the door, "Wait," I looked up back to see Alex at the entrance. "I didn't catch your name" I swear I saw him blush, and it all disappeared as fast as it came. "Sam, Samantha Summers." "Pleasure to meet you Samantha, I'm Alex Winters" he winked and waved me off. I got in the car and sat there smiling to myself. " I reckon my plan worked as I intended " I nodded and stretched out my hands and wrapped them around him in a tight embrace. "Thank you Chase, you're the best." " I know I know." I let go of him, sighing, "what is it now?" I looked at him with a sad smile. "I just hope that this one doesn't bl-" he cut me off and smiled at me "don't jinx it,now let's go to school so I can meet Hailey and Barb" I couldn't help but laugh, remembering the state they were in this morning "let's" and with that, we drove back to school. Guess church plans are canceled.
