50 Chapter 50

Sneha woke up late at about 9am, which was most unusual considering her everyday regime. "Perhaps his habits are rubbing off on me."

She badly wanted a cup of tea. She went to the kitchen to make it for herself, but saw Ramona already preparing the breakfast. Ramona smiled and said, "Sneha, let me make tea for you. As a matter of fact, let me make tea for both you and Rohan. I know he is still asleep!" Sneha accepted the generous offer. She knew this was the best way to wake him up. She even asked Ramona to accompany her to their room, but Ramona politely declined. An hour later she was ready after taking a shower but Rohan was still sleeping. She had breakfast with her inlaws and filled Ramona in with all the information she was seeking.

She wanted to meet her papa. Yesterday she had called him to inform him that they had reached home. She knew he was expecting her today, and she wanted to see him and Ankur. She wanted to share her happiness with them, she asked Ramona if she could go to visit her papa to which Ramona could not say no. She literally jumped from her chair and ran to fetch the car keys. She grabbed her purse on the way and sped to her home.

"Papa, Ankur, I am here."

Sheela opened the main door and was ecstatic to see Sneha baby. She followed Sneha to ensure that 'Saheb' was there to meet her. Raj was already there to see his daughter. How he missed her presence. Her coming home livened the whole atmosphere. He had been waiting for her since yesterday. They sat together for a long time and talked about the events that took place on Sneha and Rohan's vacation.

"Oh, before I forget. Your friend Grace was here. She wanted to give you a surprise and so didn't announce her arrival. She seemed frustrated when she learnt that you were not here. But then that is what happens when you don't let people know your plans."

"But Papa, I don't know any Grace," she replied in bewilderment. "Did you hear the name correctly? And thanks to social media almost all my friends knew that I had gone to Langkawi, so now I am worried as to who this Grace is. Did she say where she was staying?"

"Yes she did mention a name, but I am not aware of that hotel here in City J. She told me she wanted to meet her relatives and so she left early. Now I am worried… She seems to have disappeared into thin air."

Sneha sensed that her father was getting worried about this matter, so she immediately said, "This must be because of mistaken identity. Don't worry so much Papa… If she wants to meet me she will come again or she will contact me soon."

She spent her entire afternoon with Papa and Ankur. They chatted for a long time until Papa felt exhausted and Ankur wanted to sleep. Sheila had made such delicious food that she ate a great deal.

After lunch Rohan called her to check whether she even wanted to come back or whether she had abandoned him! She laughed and said she would be there in an hour. She informed that she had had lunch with Papa. She gave Papa a big hug and left him a little reluctantly. Her Papa was her role model and also her half-mommy, she thought affectionately.
