49 Chapter 49

Sneha wanted time to stop for a while. She felt blessed whenever she saw Rohan, and would often pray to God that this love would last eternally. She felt protected with him, and that he was complete with her. The Langkawi episode was coming to an end. She would have loved to extend it, but knew that Rohan had to finish a job at the City M office. Mr. Gupta had called him a few days back and he had agreed to be there as soon as the vacation was over.

"I wish we could extend our vacation here," Sneha said even though she was expecting the predictable answer.

"What a fantastic idea! Let's do that, girl!" Rohan excitedly jumped on the bed towards her, catching Sneha by surprise.

"And what about your job?"

"That can wait!" Rohan was smiling mischievously.

The conversation was interrupted by the waiter's soft knock on the door. He had brought their dinner. Rohan had to be pushed out of the bed to open the door. The waiter had to be tipped to leave the room! He was smart enough to take ample advantage of the situation. As soon as he was out of the room, Rohan turned back to once again jump on the bed and corner Sneha. This time, he found her eating ravenously. He sniggered. "A beggar has better manners!"

"Go to hell!" And a pillow landed on him. He ran to catch Sneha and punish her. But she was already out of his reach, giggling and mimicking him, which further fuelled his desire to catch her and throw her onto the bed. She was easy prey!

Next morning he got up late, at about 10am, and saw that she had already packed their luggage. She had neatly folded and kept his clothes to wear for the journey back to Jodhpur on the bed. "Get up, sleepy head. We need to catch the flight on time," she prodded him.

Rohan got up reluctantly after his wife's continued insistence. He went to take a shower and came out fast realizing that they had only two hours left to check out and reach the airport. They could check out quickly only because the manager at the reception wanted to help them to reach the airport in time. When riding back to the airport, Sneha and Rohan had their minds fully occupied with the last few days of adventure and togetherness they had had. There were so many memories, and each of them silently promised to come back here soon. The present was so blissful that the future did not matter. They knew it was going to be fantastic from now on.

Just as always, Rohan got undue attention from the girls at the airport and he loved it. He knew Sneha was getting jealous but not showing it at all. It was far too petty for her to let it show. So he continued to be the cynosure of all eyes until at last his ladylove left for the security check in without a word. He was excited to see that this was truly working. He ran after her with a huge grin. After the security check in, he caught up with her. "Hey there! Why are you walking so fast? We still have forty minutes to board the flight."

She moved on without a word.

"Ha!" And now I have to cajole you."

She didn't stay angry for long, and soon, before they boarded the aircraft, they were smiling again.

The journey was very long and they got extremely tired.

Both ma and papa were there at the airport to take them back home. They freshened up, had dinner and immediately went off to sleep, disappointing Ramona, as she was eager to hear about their trip. Sumit chided her lightly telling that the kids were tired. She could wait for the next day to hear all about it.
