36 Chapter 36

Life was a bliss; he was enjoying every moment. He had forgotten about Stella. She was a memory from that past. He was dreaming and weaving his future with Sneha. There was some time before going to his new posting at San Francisco which Mr Gupta had so graciously recommended for him to the directors. He wanted to take a long holiday until then. So he decided to take Sneha for their honeymoon.

Ramona and Sumit were excited to hear about their plan and offered them air-tickets to their choice of destination. Rohan sat for hours to browse the Internet to find the best honeymoon destination and eventually settled for Langkawi, an archipelago in Malaysia. He contacted the tour operators to book the tickets and hotel room for the two of them for seven days.

"Seven days is too long Rohan. What are we going to do?" asked Sneha. "I think three days should be enough," she added with a shrug.

"Leave the planning part to me," he replied. "We are going to do lot of activities. I won't let you get bored over there. I have planned every day of our trip there. So buckle up Mrs Nayar. You are about to have the time of your life!" he chuckled.

Sneha enjoyed when he pampered her. And he loved pampering her. At times he wouldn't let her go and cook food for the family and coax her into watching television with her. Sneha's rose perfume lingered in the house. Her pillow infused with perfume was Rohan's favourite object to hold when she wasn't around in the bedroom.

His parents found it amusing as to how their son transformed so soon. He didn't want to marry Sneha. He had opposed strongly and agreed after a lot of resistance. Now, the situation has changed drastically. He would find an excuse to be near her. They were happy that their decision was fruitful. Their son had found an anchor, a soul mate...

When Rohan told his parents that he was being transferred to San Francisco, they were delighted. They thought that their daughter in law had brought all the good luck charm to him. While his parents were happy, Sneha's father Raj was a little sad. With Sneha being in India, he would visit her anytime he wished or she could come to him on a short notice. But now the distances will be so huge that she wont be able to visit him frequently. Sneha on the other hand was looking forward to start her life with Rohan afresh. She assured her father that she would come to visit him and bhaiya more often than he thought she would.

One evening when they were sitting together after dinner, Sneha told Rohan that he should go to City M and finish all the formalities required for the transfer. Besides he even had to talk to the landlords of his apartment. He had to settle lease money with them.

"I can wait Sneha. What is the hurry? The transfer orders won't come in the next fifteen days. I am on an extended holiday," he added with a grin. He was excited to go to Langkawi and here Sneha was goading him to go to City M!

"We can delay our plans for Langkawi by a week. Once everything is steady in City M, we will be able to have a great vacation without worries," she reasoned.
